Brother Steve, thank you for this wonderful podcast. I have read some of Denver Snuffers books and they touch my heart, but this was a spiritual experience of Love and Learning. I appreciated how Denver Snuffer was so open and showed such Love of God but I want to Thank you Dear Brother for the wonderful questions and discussion you have. God Bless and Thank You So Very Much.

I've read several of his books, but when he talks about his spiritual experiences, they resonnate so much with mine, especially the idea that information gets downloaded to you in a way that is impossible to put into words.

I loved this interview, it was/is life changing for me. I watched the interview on Mormon Stories and was really touched by your spirit. I’m anxious for the Masonic Interview with Denver. Please continue doing these invaluable interviews! Thank you. I agree with Denver’s last statement in that he’s never spoken publicly re his experiences, but obviously felt you have a pure heart and it was an appropriate forum to share sacred things.

Yes. Once knowledge is exposed…sp😢Ken.. given .… or preached …. ACCOUNTABILITY (according to individual understanding) suddenly TAKES PLACE…therefore; discernment is wise. It may be harmful to give that which will be trampled upon.. harmful to those that trample. Therefore; in mercy. GIVE IT NOT. .. Why cause them to increase their sin knowingly .. nevertheless… there is a season that nothing is hid. To bind up; IS the commandment in certain season. And that is done by POWERFUL SPOKEN WORD … by binding WITH GIVEN intelligence; bye way of- PLAINNESS OF SPEECH. .. to SEAL UP both the reward and the punishment…even as it’s written… and this in order to satisfy Eternal Law. …. His experienced vision edifies, yet he seems to be prideful and not seeking the Lord or his mysterious Prophet. As all LDS are. He said something about a Prophet being crazy for not focusing on worldly trivialities, when the Kingdom is built strangely, and by Doctrine, not by matter. He is not seeking the Lord, but himself, or he would be available for contact. He will probably suffer a stroke this year for his scornful pride.... The Lord is Jealous against those which defame or usurp His Kingdom by negligent vanity, leading others astray because they demand to rule....

I didn't have to struggle to believe Denver's claims. I came from a similar background, living on the edges of the church was half my family on the outside and many evangelical family members. I was never converted to the church as such, but became converted to the Gospel by reading the scriptures and studying the writings of the early leaders -- particularly Joseph Smith. Like Denver, I believed that everybody in the church had these kinds of experiences. I think the key with people like Denver and me is not believing they could happen, but refusing to believe they could NOT happen.
I read Denver's book "Conversing with the Lord Beyond the Veil". Up until that time, I believed that I had received all the experiences with the Lord that it was possible to receive. His book convinced me that there was much more to be obtained. I studied his book, took notes on every page and prayed for personal revelation constantly along the way. I went through his book twice, but I was still not understanding some things, so I read a couple of more books and studied about a couple more people who had received their second comforter.
I began studying in July 2019 and had my second comforter experience the following February, followed by another baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost. I would describe my experiences as being similar to Denver's although there are some differences.
If you feel driven to seek the Lord and really know Him, I urge you to study the Book of Mormon, particularly 2 Nephi 31,32 and 3 Nephi 11. Also, John 14-17, and 1st John. Study them over and over until you have memorized them. Then read Denver's book, and also another book called "How to Receive Your Second Comforter", by Anonymous. I read that book three times, taking notes, and taking time to pray and keep a journal. Then, far more important than reading all these books and going through all the motions, your heart must be right. You must seek revelation from the Lord and act on it.
Many, many people are coming to have these experiences and many are still struggling to have them. My only advice is to get right with the Lord, and give this all your heed and diligence.

I have not finished yet (about 25 minutes left to go) but I want to thank and give some notice to Steven's kindness and professionalism in this interview. He pushed a little to try and get Denver to open up about spiritual experiences, but Steven did not push too hard or too much. He was very genuine. I think Denver could feel Steven was genuine, there was not guile in Steven's countenance or his intentions and because of that it was neat to see Denver open up in ways he seems to usually be hesitant to open up (at least hesitance to open up is something i have picked up from Denver but I admittedly have not read all his books or seen all interviews he has given).
I think when you're talking to someone who has otherworldly claims, you need to let them share their message, even if you aren't exactly fully behind their claims of otherworldly experiences. I think Steven was very professional in how he handled this interview and as always, I enjoyed what Denver had to say. This was a great episode of MBR. Thank you to Steven and thank you to Denver.

This reminds of people who have near death experiences - their story always seems to be a reflection of much of their cultural, spiritual experiences prior to the events. So if you’re Buddhist, Evangelical, Pagan, whatever it “vision” comes through via that previous paradigm. I would add that there appears to be an obsession by this gentleman to never let go of his past religious belief “his belief” his obsession can be seen in his multiple books. I also find interesting his defensiveness regarding his visions , he seems to spend more time defending, what makes it more interesting is that this interviewer isn’t challenging his statements. But in his defensiveness he goes in to circular reasoning, by say those with a sincere heart will accept and not be accusatory. Awe, heck something is off, I do however believe he believes, perhaps we do live in parallel realities and his simply doesn’t fit mine. haha

Interesting interview. I have always heard Denver went off the deep end and I can see why people can say that and feel that... I can feel his love and convictions about what he has been blessed to see and feel and experience. Nothing I have heard rings untrue or impossible to me, and to my spirit. The vail of heaven is much thinner for some than others. I also do not feel I'm worthy of the testimony I have of the savior, but I'm sure grateful for it... I am unshaken... I also believe there is still room in the gospel of Jesus Christ and his church here on earth namely the LDS church for the likes of you.

Denver kinda goes in circles in responses to the questions, however, I get that there's a potential for a lot of information to be communicated in each response and words need to be chosen carefully. Denver in his chosen profession is very skilled in choosing appropriate words and he showcases that well. I was able to take away a lot from this interview and read between the lines. It gives me more hope. Thanks for doing this interview! One day I hope to be able to hear from Denver and others about their experiences unrestrained.

Divine manifestations are spiritual in nature and the communication is done through intelligence, light and spirit. It must be extremely difficult to translate that into mortal language. Paul described his experiences as unspeakable. That’s why prophetic scriptures are difficult to understand with our mortal understanding, try reading Isaiah or Revelation for example.

The adulterer and murderer....we don't remember men by their worst faults, or shouldn't. I remember David for slaying Goliath with a stone. Great men falling can be a message for all of us, it means..faulty men can still be great, and great men can fall. The main problem with Denver's group is they detest polygamy entirely, so much, that they are unaware of its use in the past and its reserved use by the Lord for the benefit of ...wait for it...women. and he has the knowledge to teach this. imo he knows 132 in original form probably taught the past righteous use and the conditions when polygamy would be "for the woman and at her choice" but just like Joseph Smith probably fears if taught there would be the chance for abuse. The problem is many elect who know monogamy is the ideal but that the scriptures explain circumstances can be of such where polygamy would be necessary, / This is the truth and can not be danced around as this negating the full teaching is separating the brothers and sisters who should be united. The law of monogamy is the standard, but exceptions need to be acknowledged or misled brothers and sisters outcast their righteous sisters and brothers. Not to mention scriptures end up being twisted and it promotes a lack of faith in them. (like where Jehovah in metaphor lists himself as a polygamist, like the parable of the ten virgins, like the exception clause in Jacob, the law in the OT that a widow has the right to marry her brother in law if circumstances warrant) Also the entire issue and misuse is what probably caused the church to be cast into the wilderness...so...imo Denver...fix it. Not to mention other faiths will not be able to come to the truth taught without this being clarified. And other cultures as well. The full teaching needs to be revealed imo. Even if accompanied by conditions.(that ensure non abuse which btw Denver's use of priesthood in the community has just such guidelines...what a coincidence.) His quote about the door being shut also should apply to those who know the truth about polygamy.. Let all the polygamists...stay out and ..is exactly the message his group projects to polygamist families who may have under inspiration of God sacrificed to live this principle. my opinion..the stone of truth. If ye are not one ye are not mine.

This scripture that Denver quoted has been weighing heavily on my mind for the past 40 years. I wrote the words and music to a hymn, built around this verse.
Alma 29:8 For behold, the Lord doth grant unto all nations, of their own nation and tongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he seeth fit that they should have; therefore we see that the Lord doth counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true.
God doth grant unto all nations and all peoples of the earth
Wisdom, truth, and revelations, showing human souls their worth.
Deep His counsels, though not hidden, speaking wisdom, just and true,
Touching tender hearts when bidden, gently as the heaven's dew.
"Come", He calls, "unto my table. See the regal banquet spread.
Come ye rich, ye wise, ye able. Come and share the Master's bread.
Come and feed upon my spirit. Come and taste eternal joy.
Word of life, oh come and hear it, and my peace and rest enjoy."
"Come ye poor." the Lord entreats us. "Come lost sheep unto my board."
At the door He stands and greets us as we meet our God and Lord.
We, the poor, have come in meekness, while the Lord most Tenderly
Builds our faith and strength from weakness, and each wandering soul sets free.
Growing up as saints together, sharing love with arms entwined,
Forging bonds which last forever, seeking after our own kind.
Heavenly Father builds His Kingdom, (Why should mankind think it odd?)
Of all nations, tongues, and peoples. Saints unto the Most High God.
    Text: John R. Crane
    Music: John R. Crane

I watched this with an open heart and mind because I am a believer of many of the spiritual and historical truths that are popular in Snufferite fellowships in opposed to the LDS version of history and some LDS doctrine. However, when I hear Denver talk about his experiences, they sound incredibly disingenuine. His version of Christ seems to be a respector of men, particularly Denver, and it seems like his “encounters” (which sounds very supernatural instead of divine) had no purpose other than for him to hang out with Christ, or for a heavenly counsel to have faith in Denver. He also is quick to make accusations about what other people are lacking in their faith to be able to meet Christ themselves, as well as trying to prove his encounters as legitimate by saying “if you believe encounters with Christ can occur, then you must believe mine occurred.” I’m pick ing up on this specifically as someone who believes visitations and visions can occur to faithful individuals who seek them, but is finding his account to be a self-exalting type of narrative, even though he keeps claiming he is seeking the Lord looking for nothing in return (and it always seems Denver has something to offer to Jesus and the heavenly hosts). His descriptions seem ficticious (detail where detail is not necessary but no detail where detail would greatly help). He seems to believe he is the only person capable of understanding his experiences, and that other people won’t be able to comprehend the details he COULD add, but claims he chooses not to. I also find it very self-serving and somewhat narcissistic how he immediately dodges literally every single one of Stephen’s questions and then proceeds to talk about whatever HE wants to talk about. Also his vocabulary does not ring true as spiritually enlightened or earthly loving. He talks about others having problems freely and mockingly, then tries to act like he is not, and he uses examples of other people who have disabilities or who are less than him in order to show that he cares for others, while not seeming to care about serving others that are his physical and intellectual equals. He doesn’t seem like he has met Christ to me. I have had a spiritual experience once (not met Christ, but was caught up in a vision with someone who has passed that I never met in life) and I felt nothing except feeling completely loved and feeling completely adequate while in that space, not the sense of complete inadequacy as Denver describes. I completely believe that we can have visions or visitations, but they always serve a purpose. Be wary of Denver’s story and his plight, even if you are sympathetic to the general beliefs of his movement, as I am.

Priesthood authority, comes from God not from an organized church. The Lord defines His church as is D&C 10:67. "Behold, this is my doctrine--whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church." It's a gathering, not an institution.
This is the baptismal prayer from the Book of Mormon. Denver's group uses this prayer. I would use the same prayer -- not to baptize people into an organization, but unto Christ.
3 Nephi 11:25 Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

All religions and cultures must come unto Christ should they wish to be redeemed and saved. For there is NONE other name under heaven whereby man can be saved. Now if Christ demand this of all ages then, it must be so, when he returns in glory. And how is this to be done? By no other way than his own, as stated in the NT, eg: from Luke, John, Acts, James, Timothy, Peter, Hebrews and especially The Book of Mormon....It must be done his way and his way is with The 12, 70, Elders, Priests, Deacons, Bishops etc. If this is NOT on the earth when he arrives, what then of all those other religions, sects, denominations? If this is here when HE arrives, then all christian confessing people MUST COME unto his church already established here and be saved. And this is, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which HE restored thru Joseph Smith Jnr.....If any disagree, then time will tell.

The things of God can only be discerned by the spirit and it requires faith, humility and willingness to follow God. Anything different will fail miserably. No amount of mortal intellectuality will connect you with heaven. We must humble ourselves and trust God, we must admit that we are nothing compared to God only then he will open your eyes to his glory. All the supposed intelligent and intellectual geniuses will find out at deathbed that their knowledge cannot save them.

Snuffer must think he is greater than Moses, and Jacob son of Lehi.
Numbers 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Jacob 7:5 And he had hope to shake me from the faith, notwithstanding the many revelations and the many things which I had seen concerning these things; for I truly had seen angels, and they had ministered unto me. And also, I had heard the voice of the Lord speaking unto me in very word, from time to time; wherefore, I could not be shaken.
The Angel of YHWH is YHWH and there are many experiences in the scriptures where He came and visited mankind and was not talked of as being on a mountain top, including the parents of Samsung, which has many end time over tones in it, it's almost if time is cyclical.
Perhaps the reasons people have are skeptical of people claiming of seeing Yeshua, is because of Yeshua’s words that there will be MANY false prophets. And to be honest I know of no prophet today who has public fruits, as Yeshua stated we should look for, but they all claim you wont see the fruits until you believe in them, which is contrary to what Yeshua said to do.
I'll be honest I have a hard time believing someone who claims that the righteous on the other side of the veil don't trust YHWH's judgement.
Snuffer is trying to set himself up as the end time servant, but he claims JS was trying to restore something older that Torah, but I know of three BoM verses that states that Adam kept Torah, including a passage talking about the end time servant.
BoM authors states the BoM text is sacred and they gave it out to the world.
The apostles were ridiculed for repeating Yeshua’s words. And it didn’t stop them, just as with JS and the holy prophets in the scriptures. There are multiple histories in the BoM where people reported what they saw and heard to the world, and it caused many conversions. I find that people say something is to sacred is because they can’t defend it from the scriptures. (Helaman 5 example is interesting regarding Snuffer as he uses it to claim that the order of baptisms don’t matter, but I have an post that shows it does using that same chapter, and that a key word he forgets about is dissenter, and you can’t be a dissenter from something that you did not join and to join the church of Elohim you have to get baptized.)
Helaman 5:50 And it came to pass that they did go forth, and did minister unto the people, declaring throughout all the regions round about all the things which they had heard and seen, insomuch that the more part of the Lamanites were convinced of them, because of the greatness of the evidences which they had received. 51 And as many as were convinced did lay down their weapons of war, and also their hatred and the tradition of their fathers.
Sounds like Snuffer is pushing universalism, which YHWH speaks out against. And I find it telling he didn’t list Semitic and Hebrew thought in the eastern list.
Why is he listing groups that deny the Messiah and say they are teaching His ways? Perhaps because they are part of the antichrist system?
Mosiah 13:33 For behold, did not Moses prophesy unto them concerning the coming of the Messiah, and that God should redeem his people? Yea, and even all the prophets who have prophesied ever since the world began-have they not spoken more or less concerning these things?
Moroni 10:6 And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.
The atonement did not offend justice, it SATIFIED/APPEASED it.
2 Nephi 9:26 For the atonement SATISFIETH the demands of his justice upon all those who have not the law given to them, that they are delivered from that awful monster, death and hell, and the devil, and the lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment; and they are restored to that God who gave them breath, which is the Holy One of Israel.
Alma 42:15 And now, the plan of mercy could not be brought about except an atonement should be made; therefore God himself atoneth for the sins of the world, to bring about the plan of mercy, to APPEASE the demands of justice, that God might be a perfect, just God, and a merciful God also.
Alma 42:25 What, do ye suppose that mercy can rob justice? I say unto you, Nay; not one whit. If so, God would cease to be God.
In the same letter Paul talks about baptism for the dead, he states he dies daily. In Hebrew thought when you have sinned you die, and today believes call that a spiritual death, and what is part of a spiritual rebirth baptism. FYI the BoM teaches against Baptism for the dead in many verses and many ways.
2 Nephi 9:38 And, in fine, wo unto all those who die in their sins; for they shall return to God, and behold his face, and remain in their sins.
A group who claims to be of YHWH has a hard time using the word church, even though it’s in scriptures, and has a hard time with the word prophet. Sorry if you are ashamed of the words in the scriptures, …
Yeshua would not be okay with someone being baptized into His church, and then continuing to go to their old church.
    Moroni 6:2,4-7
2 Neither did they receive any unto baptism save they came forth with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and witnessed unto the church that they truly repented of all their sins.
4 And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith. 5 And the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray, and to speak one with another concerning the welfare of their souls. 6 And they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus. 7 And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them; and whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the elders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of Christ.
The scriptures including the BoM, and D&C show some hierarchy, but yes not like the LDS / Brighamite church or other churches, but it is there.
What about Matthias, regarding Judas and Paul?
BoM states it’s the Lehites that build the temple, and others are allowed to help with it.
I don’t believe YHWH sent Brigham Young, who is the worst thing that happened to the restoration, to the west, Brigham Young did that on his own to achieve his own devious plans.
The similarities to the Brighamite temples and Masonry is because Brigham Young was a Mason and so were his cohorts, and Brigham Young meet with a Jesuit priest while going west, and Jesuit’s control Masonry.

Just like Denver, I have received my baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost, and my second comforter. I say "my" because the experience is unique to each person.
Moses wished that all of Israel could be prophets, rather than having to go through him, which is a step down from communing directly with God. I am not interested in seeking any followers or leading any movement. All I am concerned with is directing people to Christ, so they can know and experience Him for themselves.

      Quoting Steven Retz, above:
"I'll be honest I have a hard time believing someone who claims that the righteous on the other side of the veil don't trust YHWH's judgement."
Not what he said. It is not that they hadn't trusted God. It's that they now saw and understood for themselves.
"Yeshua would not be okay with someone being baptized into His church, and then continuing to go to their old church."
Depends on how you define "church."
"The atonement did not offend justice, it SATIFIED/APPEASED it."
Of course Denver did not mean that the Atonement did not satisfy the justice required as a result of someone's sin. Rather, he meant that Jesus's own sufferings and sacrifice were distinctly unjust as pertaining to his own perfect righteousness and non-deservedness of those sufferings and losses -- hence "Justice was offended." It simply was a figure of speech designed to highlight Christ's magnanimity.
      I could go on.
Clearly you are trying VERY, VERY hard -- a little too hard, it turns out -- to undermine Snuffer's testimony. Plus I am a little suspicious of those who seem to feel they are "too advanced" for such terms as "Christ" and "Jesus," who insist upon using instead terms such as "Yeshua" and "YHWH," even if perhaps technically there is an advantage or two to the latter terms. Check your heart.

@@MegaJohn144 " I have received my baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost, and my second comforter.."
Why are you saying this? These are not merit badges.
