Iv watched this segment around 12:30 PM and hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch. When your podcast was over I charged toward the kitchen and ate like a possessed man.😆
I love it!!
Clean doublesnap, and those biscuits and gravey, wow

I love Bardstown, and looks like an interesting restaurant. I love that huge cornbread muffin for the hamburger! When I run out of places in Louisville to visit for lunch or dinner, I will head straight to Bardstown!
This was one of your best videos! That place is amazing
Thank you. Not only was the food great but that bartender was hilarious.
Love his stops ! He knows what he’s doing!
Thank you. I Tommy homework for sure
Great choice....Our go to in Bardstown...Great food & atmosphere...Thanks for
the shoutout Condiment KING...Lol...Enjoy the videos...Keep'em coming..
Thanks for the shout out!
Jon, I am officially jealous! I love cornbread and beans! But it all looks amazing!😳
Make him take you out there when you come for a visit.
Drooling, my absolutely favorite sandwich. Cornbread Mafia!!!
Yes Oh Yes - I've had everything you both are eating and excellent choices. Mom only gets the Hot Brown dish but I get something different everytime I come but that Cornbread Mafia Burger is SUPERB of having something different. Specialties of Mammy's are their Homemade Pies - usually buy 2 pies to take home - I Am A Pie Guy!
BTW, I really don't like John Wayne watching me to my eliminating waste business so I tell him to minn his own business while I am doing mine and he chuckles LOL 😅
lol! Thank you. That john Wayne is a little creepy.
@goodallscountrykitchen no doubt I had stage fright 1st time and couldn't do my business with the cowboy watchin' LOL
And you do great imitations! Such a classic. Glad you got it your way. You definitely DO NOT have a failure to communicate. Lol. Yet another tempting review and I'm trying g so hard to eat healthy and lose weight. You don't make it easy for us foodies! 😢 ❤ And congrats on your weight loss. I don’t think you're fat at all.
I’m glad I could get your tastebuds attention. I lost most of that weight 30-years ago when I started smoking cigarettes at age 27. I quit 12 years ago when my wife got pregnant. Not a healthy way to Lise weight. It was actually smoking cigars that led me to the cigarettes.
Anyway, I still consider myself fat, but I’m comfortable with that.
Lol funny to see this pop up on my recommendations. Lived here for awhile
Glad you liked it. Bardstown is such a great place.
Barry my friend, great review on a great place, food looks delicious, Fried cornbread is my fave, I like hot water cornbread also, & I need chunks of raw onions along with the beans, big cold glass of buttermilk, ( I don't care for that sweet jiffy cornbread at all ) I like big slice of vine ripe mater on my baloney sandwich with the onion, etc... God Bless you all. btw, You all have a ratio of at least 20 to 1 on mom/pop places compared to this area & probably more
I’ve still got a bunch more mom and pop places on my list. And you’re right. Gotta have that raw onion with that bean soup.
I have eaten there several times when I am staying in Bardstown while doing distillery tours. Their Hot Brown is soooo goood. They also have a teriffic Bourbon bar.
@@thomasaccuntius9946 I live mammy’s.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Have you tried Talbot Tavern and The Rickhouse?
@@thomasaccuntius9946 yes
Hey, pertaining to a Cornbread Mafia connection, there's a restaurant in Raywick, Ky, that opened this Spring, called Backroad Burger Co. I haven't tried it yet, but my daughter who for her job travels to Lebanon on 84 once a week, said the parking lot is fuller every time she passes it, so stopped in for lunch two weeks ago and loved it. Great burger and good portions. (oh, dear! to clarify, the only connection is where it's located, not the old industry) LOL
I’ve heard of it. I’ll write it down. Thanks.
Ate there years ago when I was celebrating my Anniversary. We stayed at the Talbot Tavern for the night and ate at both places. Then took.a carriage ride around town, and went to see the Stephen Foster story.
That sounds awesome. My wife and I are going to do the same thing this summer.
I like the home made chips that come with sandwiches.
They have a fried green tomato BLT and/or sandwich that’s supposed to be pretty good. I’ll have to try it one of these days.
Everything I had was awesome!
Go for it ...🎉🎉🎉
I’m going through some old videos. This is really a beautiful place.
Yeah, Bardstown is a very historic preserved town.
You have to try their pork rinds. They are AMAZING!
Next time I will. Thanks!
Ky Cornbread Mafia burger. I dunno how they do the cornbread buns, but it is perfect. Amazing really. Wife and I agree we're going again.
I’m taking my wife there when we spend the night at Talbott Tavern this summer.
Great review, obtw you tellin all the secret eateries in Bardstown. Shhh don’t tell anybody.🤫
I’m sure the locals are getting passed, but the owners are loving it. Lol!
You are a huge cute hoot. Keep on comin on. I'm a west coast native starving for east coast southern. Karla in Cali.
I appreciate you letting me know my videos are reaching outside the local area of interest. You do have reason to be starving for some of this southern comfort food. Please stay tuned. I will keep ‘em’ coming!
Man vs Food has nothing on you 😅. Great vid
@@Retiredrookiecigars thank you!
@@goodallscountrykitchen so if you could recommend just 2 spots to eat in Bardstown, what 2 would you say must tries?
@@Retiredrookiecigars Mammy’s and Billy Bob’s BBQ & Amish Deli.
Love mammys
I was leaning toward the python bite. Snappin turtle works just as well. Great sayings. Some people get to serious on food channels. You don't, which is awesome
Thank you! I’m just eating and having fun. I’m sure the food network executives would never appreciate my platform. lol!!
When we lived in Kentucky in the late sixties my parents brought me here and the waitress said if I didn’t finish my plate I would have to stay and wash dishes and I was just young enough to believe them I was real scared
That’s hilarious!
Try mixing ketchup and hot sauce for a condiment with a burger (or anything!). Im gonna have to make a trip up there!
I’ll be trying that.
I think they should serve balogna on cornbread!!!!
That would be awesome!
Love that place next time try the pimento cheese! I’m getting that cornbread hamburger myself next time!
I’ll do that. I live pimento cheese. I wish I could order it all.
@@goodallscountrykitchen you did not get cheated there lol
@@p.e.muehleck8370 nope!
Coke for breakfast! Gotta have the hangover skillet it’s on the breakfast menu and it’s amazing
I’ll try that when I spend the night at Talbott Tavern this summer.
@@goodallscountrykitchen it’s tater tot’s with cheese eggs sausage ham and bacon and cheese with gravy and jalapeños and it’s all served in a cast iron skillet
@@madhousecollectibles01 sounds real FAT!
Guy fieri had mammy on diners drive ins and dives once so you know everything she has on her menu is good!
Absolutely legit!
If the ghost can cook , it would be worth a try. I would guess they might be a better cook then some of the restaurant chefs up here.
Try out Our Best restaurant in Smithfield. Amazing food.
It’s already on my short list. Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm betting I'm not the only one that thought the fried cornbread were pancakes. Great idea though.
Fried cornbread is the best.
You should have gotten pie!
You’ll understand why I didn’t when I upload the next review. I had another stop in Bardstown after I left Mammy’s.
dammitt Barry I’m hungry now
My job is done then!
Do you all stay close to an E.R. ?
lol!!
They have good food, however, personally, I was not too fond of the baby Hot Brown the ham overpowered it .
If the cooking makes you good looking. I would have to eat a triple portion.
lol!!
These haters in the comments must have miserable lives smh
@@Retiredrookiecigars I was thinking the same thing but find them entertaining.
Ketchup? Really?
Try it.
