I prefer water resistant sunscreens though because I feel like those sunscreens would naturally be more protective than easy washable sunscreens? I don't know, just my opinion.
Ah, good point :) Water resistant sunscreens are definitely recommended on sweaty days. They may last longer and protect you from UV rays, but in the cleansing process you may be damaging your skin due to double cleansing. But the choice is totally up to you :) Thanks for watching!
It doesn't matter because if it's chemical then you need to reapply because certain chemical will only work for a period of time after being exposed to sunlight or air unlike physical sunscreen.
They are great in terms of protection but can be greasier than regular ones, which can be a problem for oily, acne-prone skin. My oily skin doesn’t love them and doesn’t love the double-cleanse method. But if you can handle them and the double cleansing daily, why not?
Please make more videos about other sunscreens like this one. I used to face many issues while double cleansing, but after skipping it, I no longer have those problems.
Thanks for telling us about the problems with the BOJ sunscreen and giving some good alternatives. Just wanted to let you know that Amazon doesn't carry the BOJ rice relief sunscreen. What you gave as a link is to their other product that has US approved filters instead.
Yeah, thanks for letting me know :) I did say in the description that the global version is not available on US amazon, but I know that’s not very noticeable. The US-only version is new and came out in the middle of my analysis. But I saw other websites still selling the global version, if you want to check them out instead :) Ty for your thoughtful communication!
I appreciate your in depth review. One caveat. Multiple people have said that non-comedogenic doesn't mean anything because it all depends on your skin with a product will cause comedones for you or not even if it has 'safe' ingredients.
Only oil/ balm cleansing is not enough? I mean the foaming cleanser after oil cleansing is what damaging the skin barrier in my opinion. I "single cleanse" with foaming cleanser in the morning, and oil cleansing at night.
Yes, I agree, which is why I recommend easy-washable sunscreens so you can single-cleanse with just a foam cleanser :) But the choice is totally up to you! Thanks for watching
It’s okay to use only oil-based cleanser at night if it doesn’t clog up your pores. You can look up, Michelle Lab Muffin beauty, a cosmetic chemist has talked about it on her channel and on her blog site. Some oils leave a bit of oily residue on the skin by design. It’s good for dry skin but can be bad for oily or acne-prone skin. However, there are lighter oils and balms that don’t leave an oily residue on the face and have a balanced ratio of oils vs surfactants. I’ve used only cleansing oil at night as someone with oily, acne-prone skin and had no problems. It removed everything like a charm. Cleansing balms are usually heavier than cleansing oils, so it might be harder to find a cleansing balm for oily skin. My derm prohibited me from touching cleansing balms and she insists that I should just use micellar water. But if you have dry or normal skin, using a cleansing balm should be an issue for you.
Thanks for sharing! That’s interesting to hear. People react differently to double cleansing 😊 Avoiding excessive cleansing is the general guidance from Korean dermatologists and experts bc after a long time (a decade), it can eventually strip your skin. But hey, do whatever works for you and what you think is best for your skin! ❤
It depends on the skin more. I also have been double cleansing since I was a teen (I have oily skin and when I would wear makeup or sunscreen, I would double cleanse). But as I started aging, my skin became thinner and now it frequently becomes dehydrated bc we live in a very dry climate (even with air humidifiers on and everything, my skin is just prone to dehydration, also there are some other general health issues which contribute it). I’ve tried the most gentle options for double cleansing and no, it doesn’t work for me. The problem is not with the products, it’s just my skin cannot handle it. I’ve been researching different expert opinions and turns out non-water resistant sunscreens can be washed off with just a good cleanser or you can even use simply a cleansing oil that doesn’t leave an oil residue. Ever since I started using only one cleanser my skin thanked me. I also wash my skin simply with water in the morning, no cleanser, and only use a cleanser at night. Maybe if I lived in highly humid climate, my skin could have handled double cleanse, but not here. Everyone’s skin is simply different and what works for one person may not work for the other but it’s great that double cleansing works for you! 😊
@@gosophiegothat’s so refreshing to hear! In the past, I always found Korean cleansing foams to be overly drying even for my oily Asian skin. I remember back in the day there was a trend in KBeauty for squeaky clean skin lol. I stopped using KBeauty cleansers years ago bc of that but now they’ve became more gentle. I definitely agree that excessive cleansing can overstrip the skin from its natural oils and moisture, even oily skin in my case. Humidity of the air plays a role, too
Numbuzin clogged my pores so bad. Non-comedogenic is marketing and it literally only means that there’s a less risk of breakouts because they tested it on a few people so it’s not safe for every acne prone person.
The blue Aqua Fresh version seems to target oily skin (hence the word "fresh" in the name) while the original one seems to target dry skin. I cannot comment on texture or easy-washability without testing it with my UV camera :( I will say that, in their Korean website, they do not advertise it as an easy-washable sunscreen. Thanks for watching and thanks for the Q!
Can you make a video of what korean skincare actually korean use and actually works , also global stores to buy skincare rather than YESSTYLE , keeo going i love your videos , never give up you're helping a lot of ppl❤❤

@@gosophiego You're very welcome. :)
Good to know about BOJ sunscreen. I feel like that's one I should use when I go to the beach but not daily use.
No One , Literally no one has done such a deep dive into sunscreens. This is the First video from you that I've watched and I am already a fan. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’ve been double cleansing for years, I’ve never had any problems. Ur second cleanser might be too stripping if this is the case.

Does the isntree SPF 50 have any fragrance or perfume scent or anything? Sorry if that sounds like a silly question..
No such thing as a silly Q! According to their ingredient list on their Korean website, I don’t see any fragrance :) Hope that helps!
Please make a video on newly launched cosrx invisible sunscreen please
Hi! Can you list the products in the description box, please? 😊
Added! Thanks for watching

Could you make a video about what skincare products you would let a hypothetical teen daughter use?
Ooo that'd be a fun one. And I can be more brutally honest because I'm not making the recommendation to the general public lol Ty for the suggestion!
@ No problem I would love to watch that video💗
