The Can influence is more obvious on this version, I think. I also miss the swirling synth sound but I do love how it's overdubbed in the final version.
Yeah, I love the even more krautrock-inspired first section here, but the overdubs on the guitars make the drop partway through even more impactful. I guess I think the buildup in this live version is better, but the payoff on the studio version is better. Either way I love how Can this song is.
@@robinenglert8091 Their album Tago Mago is considered their most influential, but their records Ege Bamyasi and Future Days are equally as good. Also I feel like their song 'Mother Sky' may have especially influenced Ful Stop
I find it interesting how Radiohead has a whole bunch of scraped songs that either never made it to a full length album or were changed so much that they're only a remnant of what they used to be. On top of that these songs all tend to be heavier than their modern/complete counterparts. Good examples would be Reckoner, Nude, The Trickster, Pearly*, The Trickster, The Amazing Sounds of Orgy, and of course Ful Stop. There are probably more that I'm missing but I think that the examples I gave are enough to show my point. Kind of makes me curious as to what a 'heavy' Radiohead album would sound like. And no I do not mean Pablo Honey, I mean even Pablo Honey had softer moments.
I love when Radiohead goes hard. The Amnesiac b-side “Trans-Atlantic Drawl” is one of my favorite underrated gems and that’s probably the band at their most rocking. It’s borderline noise rock and it upsets me that they’ve never played it live
Nude completely changing it's message in the swap from OKNOTOK to In Rainbows is insane. The lyrics' story does a complete 180 with the 2 added verses.
Lyrics: You really messed up everything You really messed up everything If you could take it all back again Mounds and mounds of enemies My love will set you free I bet you really miss me, (miss me) This is a foul tasting medicine This is a foul tasting medicine You really messed up this time You still haven’t got the message yet Still trapped in your full stop Oh, you messed up everything Chorus: (At this point, it alternates and repeats the lines of “The truth will mess you up/Have a good time”) When you take me back Take me back again
Man, I am out of touch with Radiohead. I recognized this, loved it, could not place the song title. Shame shame shame, I used to know each one within seconds!
Wow! Is this a soundboard/iem recording? Never heard this early version this good before. Please post Skirting and Cut a Hole in this quality (if that exists)!
Lovee this song!🙌🏻🎵 The power, the lyrics, the beat it's brilliant, thanks Daniel👍🏻 I listened to AMSP 🎵on new Utube music app, after taking my mushroom medication 😯🙂🤩😥🤗 The sound is better than normal Utube app. Overwhelming hearing Thoms voice whispering/echoing all around the room during Present Tense ! 🙌🏻 My surround sound really worked! >In tears & so overwhelmed at such beauty & emotions ❤ Like hearing it for the first time..🤗 I wish Thom & Dajana a beautiful life & many children together.❤🐱♏☯️🏴🦅
@@ivanalegre its not, he doesn’t just post radiohead he posts slowdive too. you really think Thom Yorke of radiohead would post Slowdive demos/leaks on youtube?

Can you name a specific song or album, that would be great :D

@@LongSinceDead1 Thank you very much :)
Robin Englert No problem! Can is one of my favorite bands so I’m always happy to point people their way
One of my favourite amsp songs!
Radiohead are that good of a band that they have multiple versions of the same song that are just as amazing.

Alternate heavy rock album by Radiohead? Interesting idea?

Ah man Palo Alto has such a hard sound too. The guitar sound can blow ears out

Over 8 years since I first saw them play this in Manchester. Time flies.
Tell. Me bout it
Tell me too please.
Obsessed with this
One of there very best songs -
The lyrics, for personal reasons, resonate very deeply ....
Lyrics:
You really messed up everything
You really messed up everything
If you could take it all back again
Mounds and mounds of enemies
My love will set you free
I bet you really miss me, (miss me)
This is a foul tasting medicine
This is a foul tasting medicine
You really messed up this time
You still haven’t got the message yet
Still trapped in your full stop
Oh, you messed up everything
Chorus:
(At this point, it alternates and repeats the lines of “The truth will mess you up/Have a good time”)
When you take me back
Take me back again
This is an elite channel.
Nop this early song was in internet before the amsp was published
They just can't do wrong, can they?
They always put everything in its right place...........
No better time to hear this song than now. Thanks Daniel, you rock
The truth will mess you up.....
Nice!!! I loved that version when they played in Cologne
Woah, great!!!

The early version is nice because I can actually interpret the lyrics. I still like Ful Stop though.
Awesome 😎
I live how not cool this sounds. It's inspiring
Glad the song evolved to what it is today, still very cool tho!
Daniel "Stolen" did it again
