Tremors is the perfect example of a movie that turned out way better than it had any right to be. Solid writing, good characters and well done effects. It spawned many sequels but nothing tops the original. RIP Fred Ward
And Kevin Bacon was certain that his career was over after he finished filming. He never thought he would be able to bounce back after "the worm movie."
Burt Gummer, Michael Gross, becomes THE face of the franchise. He is the only cast member to appear in all 7 of the movies. Out of them most fans will agree 1, 2, and 4 are worth a watch. 3 is alright but it was a straight to DVD release. 5 and on you have to REALLY enjoy the franchise and the monster itself to keep watching, oh and of course Burt.
Great reactions and comments, Pawxpi! I love this film, it’s prequel, the countless sequels and TV series. You just made this film more fun to watch again!👍🏻
Tremors feels like a college film class project, but that's part of its charm. Both Kevin Bacon and Reba McEntire have some of the best sarcastic comebacks in this whole movie. Side note: The little girl with the pogo stick was played by Ariana Richards, who's best known as Lex Murphy from Jurassic Park.
Another fun link to Jurassic Park, the CG visual effects house that worked on the second Tremors film went on to do the CG effects in Jurassic Park a few years later. It all comes full circle.
FYi, the franchise has such a huge cult following, and the character Burt is such an American badass, that there is an official holiday named after him. BURT GUMMER DAY (April 14th)... Est. in 2017.
New viewer to your channel ❤ Great fun ... As others have stated this movie had no right being as awesome as it was. Kevin Bacon had said he only did this movie as he needed the money. In interviews soon after Tremors was released he was not happy about having to do it(main reason he's not in any of the sequels). Later on he took back those saying he was in a bad place in his acting career and now talks about how proud he did the movie. RIP Fred Ward ❤
I'm not exagerating when I say this is one of the best monster movies of all time. That's not just me saying it, it's a universally agreed upon fact on the internet. Just hop onto any reddit post about it, and you'd be hard pressed to find even one negative critique about it. The premis is goofy, and should not have worked, but literally everything else compensated for that, and ultimately made it a believable threat to the audience.
I dated a girl in college in the area where this was filmed, in the Alabama Hills high desert area of California. Every male I met 17 and up I met there chewed tobacco.
Definitely hope you react to the sequels at least thru #4 Any Tremors reaction is an automatic like👍 Bonus points: if you get them all and the TV series I'll subscribe lol
Underground god-damn monsters! I love Tremors, it's one of my absolute favourite films. The monsters are dangerous but not unstoppable, with both the people and the Graboids learning about each other in a battle of wits. And the people being pretty smart about it rather than the plot being driven by them being idiots. You know that when the audience are telling the characters to do what they are doing instead of to _not_ do what they're doing. Also interesting as a rare horror film set almost entirely in bright sunlight. The sequels are great too, definitely worth watching too, and even the TV series is fun, even if it's a bit wackier than the films. The second film opens with Earl hired to hunt Graboids at an oilfield in Mexico, but things don't go according to plan...
Well done young lady. I loved the way you really let yourself get into the movie with the yells and the cheers. There are 3 or 4 sequels and 1 prequel. A question, is your name Pawxpi an American Indian name?
Great reaction !!! Something that no one ever seems to notice about the woman who was gobbled up while in the car ... even in those days, you could ONLY play the radio if the keys were IN the ignition. It COULD be in the ON or ACC position, BOTH of which require the key to be inserted, but it would HAVE to be in one of them to continue playing the radio so, technically, and the key was NOT there, so she shouldn't have been attacked at all. However, it's just a movie, and the whole point is to be campy ... not serious. Thoroughly worth it.
Watch more movies! If you want some more horror/comedies, first choice has GOT to be: "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" You'll love it. The production crew did the best they could with what they had. And what we got was 💯% pure goddamn awesomeness. Pardon my French.
Awe the actor that played Earl, right?
Would say 2 is close to the original for fun.
Earl: Hey, Rhonda you ever seen anything like this before?
Valentine: Oh, sure Earl. Everyone knows about them, we just didn't tell you!
😅😅😅
Every time they play rock-paper-scissors, Earl throws scissors.
One of the best horror-scifi movies of the 90s. It's JAWS on land.😮

"Tremors": The "B-movie" that rose to A-level with combination of Comedy, Horror and Romance.;)

The sequel is just as good 😌 ✅ ✅
Not quite, but still... it's a fun ride.
Tremors 2 is my personal favorite of the franchise.

Great post I am now a subscriber. Good luck on your channel.
Everyone starts from scratch, don't give up, I hope that one day you will become a great TH-camr.
I would like to recommend critters from the year 1986.
Did you ever notice that this movie starts and ends in the same place (well, almost ends)?: at the edge of a cliff.
I love the whole franchise.
This is one of the better b-movie-style monster movies. Great reaction. Thanks.
I dated a girl in college in the area where this was filmed, in the Alabama Hills high desert area of California. Every male I met 17 and up I met there chewed tobacco.

I absolutely loved her reactions!! bring her back pleaseee maybe reacting to darkness falls?
Have her check out these movies if she hasn’t seen them: Deep Blue Sea(1999), Tremors 2: Aftershock(1996), The Thing(1982), and Predator(1987).
This movie was shot just outside Lone Pine, Ca. They were shooting in February, so the actress playing Rhonda nearly froze.

I’m glad you enjoyed this one. It’s such a charming movie it’s hard not to have fun. I’d highly recommend the sequel Aftershocks if you’re up for it.
The toilet isn't plumbed in! It's just a receptacle holding cold water. Quite clever, really.
Saludos desde la República Dominicana excelente vídeo 👏👍🇩🇴
Fun horror.
My favorite kind.
😊
this movie and the first sequel are amazing, 3 is so so 4 is good then the rest are all much lower budget and it shows but still fun
That was great, thanks for posting. Love this movie.
Hello O.P.P., this is the best movie of 1990.
Check out Fred Ward (the dude who played Earl) in the 30s period piece Lovecraft-inspired CAST A DEADLY SPELL (1991).
Well done young lady. I loved the way you really let yourself get into the movie with the yells and the cheers. There are 3 or 4 sequels and 1 prequel. A question, is your name Pawxpi an American Indian name?
Reba McEntire knows her firearms. She suggested Kevin Bacon exchange his 30-30 for her 375 HH Magnum, a firearm used for the most dangerous game.😊
There are seven Tremors movies. Kevin is only in #1. However, Michael Gross that plays Burt Gummer is in all seven movies.
This movie came out a year before I was born.
hahahahahahaha yr reaction to when you first saw the creature was so cute XD, I'd like to recommend watching the movie Ninja Assasin

I'm shocked you know that the breakfast of champions is coffee and cigarettes...lol
458 magnum is more powerful than the 375 mag. These guns will kill anything on the planet.😮

Could you react to John Carpenters the Thing next? I think people will love your reaction to it!
The next movie is worth watching. Beyond that is when they veer away from good monster movies, and into subpar storytelling, chocked full of CGI.
