Rest In Peace
Michael Dan Wagner he died on December 15 1993 he played Old Fred
Bibi Besch 1942-1996 she played Megan Wallace
Sunshine Parker 1927-1999 he played Edgar Deems
Victor Wong 1927-2001 he played Walter Chang
Tony Genaro 1941-2014 he played Miguel
and Fred Ward 1942-2022 he played Earl Bassett
😭
I don't feel old but this just remind me
"Tremors": The "B-movie" that rose to A-level with a mixture of Humor, Horror and Romance.
More the Bromance than the Romance😅
It's a cult film now.
@@Fish-bw9yh literally of the top ten bromances in movie history lol
an S-tier B-movie
This movie will keep providing a good time for people for hundreds of years. Its perfect.
Perfection 😅
Kevin Bacon was convinced that his career was over after filming wrapped. He never thought he could go on as an actor after "the worm movie." But this film arguably did as much to kickstart his career as his first, Friday the 13th.
he was walking with his wife & just sat down on the sidewalk & started crying
He also said this is one of the only movies he would love to go back and do a sequel of, he actually had a pilot for a series but never got off the ground
I love irony. He was so worried that this movie would ruin him and it's one of his most loved. I still wish he'd returned for at least 1 or 2 sequels. Him, Earl, and Rhonda were a great team. They all should have returned honestly.
You stole my fun fact lol. His emotion wasn't unwarranted though. The premise definitely doesn't sound like it would make a genuinely good movie, and on top of that, it was a box office flop. But when it hit VHS, it was an instant cult classic if that can be a thing.
He didn't even want to do the movie. He said he only took the part because the Footloose money was running out.
R I.P Fred Ward...and any other deceased cast😢🎩
Victor wong... rip.
Fun fact, the Pogo Stick girl is the Hacker girl from Jurassic Park.
Apparently I am completely delusional 🤪
Her mom is >NOT< Clara from back to the future
@@vando6679 are you sure?
@@bentighe4811 no I'm not sure!! I thought I was. She sounds, and looks like a blonde Mary....but dang...i always thought it was her.
No, her mom isn't from BTTF, but the doctor's wife is Kirk's estranged wife from Wrath of Khan.
and to help us feel real old, she's now 45...
That noisy device Reba dumped the shells in is a brass polisher. You use that to clean and polish used shells before reloading them (installing new primers, filling them with gunpowder, and pressing in a new bullet). It’s recycling for gun owners. And it would have been noisy - but less so - if she had fastened down the lid with the included wing nut.
Although why they'd have empty cartridge cases to clean, given they hadn't fired any rounds, is beyond me.
@@BedsitBob from whenever they shot last, police up your brass after, take it home and let it sit until you get around to reloading. That or you buy spent brass for the express purpose of reloading, used to at gun shows years ago. You get cheap brass and the seller doesn’t have to reload and gets some $ back.
Sounds like quite a bit is “beyond you”.
@@BedsitBob I feel ya. It's not mentioned in the movie, but it's reasonable to assume that while they were patroling, they decided to reload rounds as soon as they got back, in preparation for what they thought was coming. It feels out of place because it was one of the only things that made noise, that hadn't been foreshadowed. The jackhammer, the basketball, the fridge, and the pogo were all already introduced prior to the monsters showing up. But not the brass cleaner.
@@BedsitBob Maybe they got bored and shot up a bunch of cans, but they just didn't show it?
@@BedsitBob Burt owns dozens and dozens of firearms. Each firearm needs to be test fired and sighted in. Sighting in a magnified optic takes at least 20 rounds worth of ammo per rifle and optic combo. Then there's testing which bullet weight works best each barrel and its particular rifling twist rate. On top of that, you need to practice. Shooting is a perishable skill, like most learned skills. You need to practice, practice, practice. They should easily have a mountain of brass left to clean from all of that.
Fred Ward, Earl, was in another movie you might like. 1985 "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins". Based on the Remo Williams paperback book series.
The movie is legend around my house.
I loved him in Big Business with Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler too. ❤
Here in Australia it was named Remo Williams: Unarmed And Dangerous.
It felt like this movie was on the scifi channel every day growing up. Watched it more times than I can remember, and it still holds up. Everyone loves this movie. One of the best creature feature comedy action movies ever.
Awesome puppet movie: The Dark Crystal
who would be afraid of a Jim Henson movie? (evil gen x laughter...)
Came here to say this, too. Thanks.
Awesome puppet movie: my porno with your mom and sister, with me using their vajajas as ventriloquist dummies.
I second this!
Best puppet movie is Alien.
I always mention this movie, but Critters (1986) is one where the monsters are eep but so cute. \o/
Awesome film!
The Monster Squad is a must watch! It's got monsters, comedy, and if you're anything like me it may even bring a tear to your eye. It's got a spooky Halloween vibe, and a heavy dose of that 80's charm. It's criminally underrated in my opinion!
"Wolf Man's got nards!"
'What do you have cannon fuse for?'
'For my cannon.'
My uncle always loved this movie because he used to have a small cannon that was maybe a foot long (basically a little ceremonial thing) and owned cannon fuse for it 😃
I'm also a fan of the series, up to about 4. after that I say watcher beware...
I say the first two are the only good ones. After that it's a big drop-off.
@@butkusfan23 yeah, I can definitely understand that opinion. I could take or leave 3, but I do really like 4. They are both for sure 'tv movie' quality. I actively dislike everything past that though...
When I was 9 or 10 my family was camping. The campgrounds had a little rec center where you could buy snacks and play an old DigDug arcade. I saw about 25 minutes of this movie before the sun started going down and I had to head back to my family, walking through the campground in the dark to go sleep in a tent on the ground...
Michael Grossman plays Burt. He played the father in the Michael J Fox sitcom Family Ties. Yes, the woman that plays Burt’s wife is Reba.
he finished his last day on Family Ties,
& the next morning starting working on this
This movie is a MASTERCLASS in set up and pay off. Damn near a perfect movie :D great reaction as always.
Val and Earl are one of the best movie duos ever! Glad you finally showed this to Chandra, Jordan. This movie could so easily be too campy and unwatchable, but it’s the perfect blend of everything you want in a movie.
Lake Placid is another one of my favorite horror comedies
Betty friggin White was the best.
@@stevebravo4697 the first movie was the best out of that series. I loved how awesome the animatronic crocodile looked
Check out the movies Deep Blue Sea(1999) and Tremors 2: Aftershocks(1996).
It’s funny seeing the Dad from family ties ( someone against guns and violence in the tv show) as being a super pro gun and pro preparedness character in this movie and the next couple tremors movies 🤣🤣
Best counter casting ever.
12:32....... You're absolutely correct, Chandra, Jordan! That's Reba McIntyre, one of the best female country singers of all time! She's a pretty good actor, too! Her and Michael Gross (Bert) steal the show in this film! 👏👏👏👏
Should definitely watch The Monster Squad … you both will have a blast !!!
A childhood staple for so many. Great reaction guys. Please react to the sequels, at least the first one anyways, it's quite good.
Here are two classic 80s monster movies: Monster Squad, and The Gate.. both from 1987.
Holy crap, The Gate, thats stephen dorff. Legendary film :D
Omg The Gate. Saw that on HBO back in the day and it just blew me away.
I love The Monster Squad!!! 👏👏👏👏👍
And Critters!
I am so cracking up watching this reaction as Chandra is guessing each plot point just before it happens ... Priceless!
Watching this made me think of a movie that I think you'd love that would be perfect for Halloween, even though it's not a creature feature... Tucker and Dale versus Evil.
How about Puppet Master? A horror movie with puppets
Dude...your Tshirt...ZOMFG...the legend LIVES! Still waiting for part 3 after a decade.
I had a massive crush on the scientist girl
Hello, she had me with the zinc-oxide.
@@clutchpedalreturnsprg7710 Zinc Oxide? I missed that!
Two more monster movies I just remembered, An American Werewolf in London (1981), and The Fly (1986)
For going after Burt's truck- it was surveying the foundation of his house, going around it. The vibrations then set the alarm off, which off course attracted it to attack. It didn't know to go specifically after the truck by itself. Great reaction!
Some fun monster movies for this season are Fright Night (1985) , The Blob (1988), and The Gate (1987)
Puppets? Little shop of horrors is a must then😅
If anyone would like this movie 1977s "The Car" it would be you two!! Its not a monster movie but, it's such a great thriller/horror movie. It unfortunately came out the same time as the original Star Wars so it basically had no chance😂A young James Brolin (Josh Brolin-Thanos) father. Plus the car that they built for it is just so fricken 😎 cool. Anyway thanks guys🍻
My bosses license plate says Graboid. We both love the movie. When we're together and someone asks about the plate he makes me explain it.
You have to do rock paper scissors every time you have to decide on something. You must.
They got a Tremors licence plate that DIDN'T say UZI 4U !?
Some good spooky movie candidates...
"NEAR DARK" (1987)
"PUMPKINHEAD" (1988)
"IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS" (1994)
"PRINCE OF DARKNESS" (1987)
"DRACULA UNTOLD" (2014)
Oh hell yeah In The Mouth of Madness is a favorite!
@@ephraimthemugwump 👍When that film first released, I was managing a movie theater in Georgia. When new films came in, we had to splice all the reels together into a large, single reel. Part of the job was to play the new films after closing, the night before their first showing, to make sure that all the splices were done correctly. Several of my employees wanted to stay after work to watch ITMOM with me. When it was over, I remember walking out of the auditorium with my hands clenched in front of me, like I was holding an imaginary axe handle. I didn't feel violent, or anything, just that it would be somehow comforting if I had been holding an axe. I turned around to laugh about it with one of my doormen, only to see him standing there holding onto his own imaginary axe. It could have been an imaginary baseball bat, of course... it was his imagination. 😱
I love Tremors so much! One of those rare perfect little movies. Jordan, talking about seeing it blind - my brother worked at a movie theatre, I went to meet him, had a couple of hours before he finished up, went in and watched Tremors - knowing absolutely NOTHING about it beforehand. I figured it might be some dumb movie about earthquakes. Turned into one of those experiences where you feel like you're truly along for the ride on this crazy adventure!
The best creepy puppet movie is The Dark Crystal. The movie released in 1982, and it is Jim Henson's masterpiece.
Puppet Master horror film! See if they are cute!
Tunneler is adorable even when de-braining someone.
No one and I mean no one is out there reacting to the likes of Full Moon, Troma, and Empire. Perfect reaction fodder!

Tremors feels like a college film class project, but that's part of its charm. Both Kevin Bacon and Reba McEntire have some of the best comebacks in this whole movie.
Side note: The little girl with the pogo stick was played by Ariana Richards, who's best known as Lex Murphy from Jurassic Park.
They delivered a master class to study from there
One of my personal favorites. I was 19 when this came out and saw it twice at the theaters. Kevin Bacon and the late Fred Ward(Rest In Peace) were great as Val and Earl. I could not help but laugh at how they talked to one another. The little girl, Mindy, was played by Arianna Richards, who would go on to play Lex in Jurassic Park three years after Tremors. One thing I loved about this movie was how much it reminded me of the Big Bug movies from the 1950's. The best of the bunch was 1954's THEM!, about giant ants. There was another one that was okay called Tarantula; it was the very first movie Clint Eastwood was ever in. He played an Air Force fighter pilot at the end of the movie.
For monster movies: Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane (personally it is cooler to see this one before Cloverfield), Godzilla Minus One. Plus you can always go for the classics: Wolf Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon...
I agree. You MUST see Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Godzilla Minus One. Three INCREDIBLE films!
The Cloverfield Paradox is a great movie as well. I remember liking it. It is just as different to the first two as the sequel is to the original. The shifts between all three are absolutely unpredictable and yet all three take place in the same world and are parts of the same bigger story.
You're right. That's country superstar Reba McEntire as Heather. Her husband is played by Michael Gross, who was the father on "Family Ties". The little girl on the pogo stick, Mindy, is played by Ariana Richards, who was the granddaughter from "Jurassic Park".
I love that people like top go into a film blind, but even when I watch a movie for the first time, I like to check the cast to see who to look out for.
It's too easy to spoil a movie that way though. Images pop up that can easily ruin certain aspects of a film, even when you're just trying to search for the cast or plot of a film.
@@butkusfan23 I go straight to IMDb, take off my glasses and squint my eyes until I sort of see the cast list section, click on that, then scroll through the first 10-15 names. Not always perfect, but if I accidentally see a photo, there's usually so little detail that it doesn't spoil anything.
But of course, that's just me. I'm a huge film buff and usually see a lot of movie related photos anyways, so I rely more and more on my gradually failing 61 year old memory and short attention span to (hopefully) help me forget what I saw. lol
I don't care how often I see this one, it's always a boatload of fun.
great reaction! mimic (1997) is an underrated creature feature.
I don't think I had ever seen this. It was too fun, thanks! I was excited to see the old dude from Big Trouble in Little China. Monster Squad would be a good one if you're looking for monster movies.
I know you guys like the cheesy 80's action movies. You should watch Fred Ward in Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins
This was a great movie. Shame there were no sequels.
You must watch the second and third movies. After that, the quality drops a lot, but they are ok. The second movie is my personal favorite.
I'm just happy that you react to all these banger movies for months with no combo breakers in-between! So much quality content! You two are great!
still miss Jordan's "ned flanders" moustache.
Great companion to The Mist. We learn from both that if you fight amongst yourselves you lose but if you band together and get along you win.
Monster Squad!!!!
Definitely hope you react to the sequels at least thru #4
Any Tremors reaction is an automatic like👍
Bonus points: if you get them all and the TV series I'll subscribe lol
the Host, a monster movie from S Korea ... I saw a 1 line synopsis in the newspaper on the way to work one day, that made this an instant I need to to watch.
"the royal Tenenbaums meets Godzilla" ...
its not far off that description
"The Host" is a fantastic movie!
That elevator pitch sounds ridiculous but it's pretty dang accurate
Firearms instructor here. "What the heck is she doing?" That blue machine is a brass tumbler. It cleans off brass for reloading it. Burt & Heather are what is called handloaders. They save their brass and load bullets and powder into them. It's a very common practice in rural America, especially among hunters with calibers where it would otherwise be substantially more expensive to buy en masse as opposed to common calibers like 5.56 or 9mm. Also, because they are preppers, Burt & Heather assumed in a societal collapse they would have to make their own ammo anyway because they couldn't buy more from a store.
You 2 make a great couple. Really enjoy watching ur reviews.
Classic. One of the best creature features of all time... as good today as it was in 1990.
Oooh so excited to watch the FULL reaction on Patreon where I get to see all your full length reactions to TV and Movies for less than a cup of Starbucks a month!
25:39 Reba was cleaning spent bullet casings, in advance of reloading them with cordite and a lead round.
I love that you guys loved this movie. I don't really have anything else to add except that it was one of my favorites when I was younger and I quote it quite often. Not sure why it wasn't a bigger deal than it ended up being. It's a classic!
Dog Soldiers (2002) is a cracking horror with a good amount of comedy as well.
One of my favorite movies of all time…great setup, action, jump scares, and the characters are awesome…val and earl are quintessential buddy cops
Peeing off the cliff and STAMPEDE!!!!
The fact this is foreshadowing is amazing. The movie is well written. The humans and monsters keep adapting to each other's tactics. Many of the scenes of danger are set up earlier in the movie.
The girl about to be eaten because she on her pogo-stick with headphones on? It was highlighted earlier when she was asked how her count was. Freezer makes vibrations? It was shown acting up earlier in the film. The bulldozer, the VHF radio, rock-paper-scissors...
I would like to recommend critters from the year 1986
One of the best movies ever! It’s always a fun time and easy to watch over and over again. 😂
If you are looking for cute man-eating puppets then I recommend The Little Shop of Horrors from 1986. It's listed as a musical/horror, but I assure you it is in fact 100% a comedy.
32:26 the screenplay is perfect. They wordlessly establish the Cat and their ability to drive it early in the film when Earl uses it during trash duty.

I was so obsessed with this movie as a kid. I watched it every time it came on the Sci-fi channel. Finally just recorded it on VHS. 😂 The sequels are a lot of fun too. At least the first few anyway.
A nearly perfect movie, honestly.
Tremors is one of only a handful of movies where, upon every re-viewing and irrespective of my intentions, I am caught up in the timing of the tale, and my mind never races ahead to what I know, intellectually, is coming.
Pumpkinhead, see if she finds that puppet cute. Another fun reaction, Tremors is a special movie.
Pumpkinhead scared the crap out of me as a little kid. I think it holds up really well for what it is.
Not sure I'd classify Pumpkinhead as a puppet movie, but it certainly is a good creature horror movie.
Oh, the 1980s remake of "The Blob" was stellar! Those visual effects just blew me away (well, except some of the green-screen stuff).
Great reaction to a great film.
For a couple more Fred Ward - he's always awesome - no monsters, but a lot of fun - Remo Williams - The Adventure Begins, and Miami Blues.
For a good take on monster movies - Dog Soldiers - hardly ever reacted to, but an excellent film.
25:33...to answer your question....thats a brass tumbler sand system....so she has put all of her spent ammunition into the sand and the tumbler shakes and rotates to clean the brass casings inside and out so the casings can be reused if they make their own ammo.
Oh you want puppets?
Peter Jackson's "Meet the Feebles (1989)" 👍
...such nice white fur...
There's a making of on TH-cam called "making perfection". I definitely recommend a watch, it's so cool to hear the stories and the behind the scenes.
Until recently, I didn't even know the movie's original title being "Tremors".
For decades I knew it only by its German title "Im Land der Raketenwürmer", which translates to "In the Land of the Rocket Worms". 😁
Omg that's who you remind me of every time... You look so much like Juila Stiles it's unreal
27:41 "Mother humper" wasn't the original line. They had to dub over some lines to keep the PG-13 rating they wanted. They were only allowed 1 F-Bomb, and the one they decided to keep, was when Val got excited after the first one killed itself by ramming into the concrete drainage ditch.
Reba McEntire (Heather Gummer) also sang the end credits song Why Not Tonight.
I’m so glad you guys liked this movie! It’s so fun and pretty unique in general. I think you two should DEFINITELY get into the sequels! The next two especially, the fourth one is decent for what it is, and after that it’s kind of up to the viewer more than anything. I don’t really like the newer sequels myself. They also had a television show for a time, if you ever wanted to look into that I’d say it’s pretty fun.
All in all, great review. It’s fun watching you two react to things. Here’s hoping for more.
Hello Chandra & Jordan!😊 The sequels are worth perusing. They find a clever way to expand on this film. Michael Gross (Burt) played the dad to your fellow Canadian Michael J. Fox in the 80s TV sitcom "Family Ties". Great reactions to this very original film, Guys!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great and fun reaction, Maplenuts! This film is still one of my favorite monster movies! It's definitely up there with the classic, "THEM!", from the 1950s monster genre. And a thriller movie Chandra would enjoy, 1978s "MAGIC", not about puppets but a ventriloquist dummy! Always enjoy your reactions and look forward to your next flick. 🎥🍿👍
Tremors has a certain magic, you can watch it over and again and it does not get old.
Nutty Mapes! Great film. Saw this in the theater when it was released. A surprisingly great film. 😊🍁
The little girl on the pogo stick (Mindy) Is the same actress who plays the Young girl in Jurassic Park (Lexi)
Also to give you an idea of how old these movies are, she's 45 now.
Perfect reaction, as always. This is one of the best B-movie-style monster films ever made. Thanks.
Tremors 2 and 3 are really good too, and expand our understanding of these creatures as well.
"Broke into the wrong goddamn rec room, didn't ya you bastard!"
Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Reba McEntire.
Mislabeled Fact: Part of the backlash this movie got (and currently gets), is that people judge the movie on the mislabeled "horror" genre. It's a "creature feature" movie, which is a subgenre of action/adventure.
Genesis Fact: S.S. Wilson said that he got the idea for the film while he was working for the U.S. Navy in the California desert. While resting on a rock, he imagined what it might be like if something underground kept him from getting off the rock.
Land Jaws Fact: When Chang (Victor Wong) is partially swallowed by the Graboid, it swerves back and forth before drawing back under the ground. It's almost identical to the scene near the end of Jaws (1975) where Quint (Robert Shaw) slides into the mouth of the giant shark and it swings back and forth with him in its mouth before sliding back into the water.
Gun Enthusiast Fact: Burt (Michael Gross) and Heather (Reba McEntire) used the following firearms to kill the Graboid that burst into their rec room: Stey-Mannlicher SSG-PII, Winchester model 70, Winchester Model 1200 Defender, HK91A2, Colt AR-15 Sporter II, Remington 870, Sig Sauer P226, Ruger Redhawk, M8 flare gun, and then finally Burt finishes it off with a Belgian William & Co. 8 gauge shotgun (The Elephant Gun).
Michael Gross was the polar opposite of his Michael Keaton character which made this even funnier 😂
Burt has a particularly strong attachment to the HK91; In the next movie, Burt and Heather end up separating, taking the HK with her, which Burt takes as a personal blow. In one of the later movies, that HK comes back, with Burt sometimes prioritizing it over his own kin.
Be aware some facts above may be entirely opinion.

@@BigGator5 And you for Spam, copy pasting the same thing on every Tremors vid with false info.
29:30 the reason they eat the truck is because the car alarm goes off. The graboid was circling the house trying to find them (like the others) and went under the truck, setting off the car alarm.
Such a great movie, just fun. 😊
I adore this movie! It never gets old. I do have a creature feature that really doesnt get a lot of love. Deep Rising, directed by Stephen Sommers who did the first 2 Mummy flicks
25:40 - "What the heck is she doing?" - She's cleaning the used shells. You put them in the tub with sand, and the machine shakes them up, causing the sand to scrub them clean, kind of like sandpaper. The clean shells can then be reloaded with fresh gunpowder and a new slug.
27:24 - "No! It just knows?" - Not really. When it went under the truck, it shook the ground, accidentally setting off the alarm. It felt the vibrations from the alarm and figured it might be something to eat.
The gigantic double-barrel Burt Gummer picks up in his basement is actually a 4-bore rifle--what most people would call an elephant gun. Needless to say, a cartridge that size has a LOT of power. Imagine a brick travelling at about 1,600 feet per second, and you'll be in the right neighborhood. Edit: I wrote this comment a little while before Heather explicitly mentioned that it was an elephant gun. I forgot that part was in there.
This reaction and her predictions makes me think Chandra is a survival genius.
I'm not sure if it would technically count as a creature-feature, but "Brotherhood of the Wolf" from 2001 is a strong recommendation from me! It's set in medieval France and the plot revolves around the hunt for a mysterious creature terrorizing the countryside. Great moody setting, good fight scenes, wonderful acting, I think you two would enjoy it!
