Minimizing the game - I love this. The grinding of Raid (for example) - locks me out of doing anything else on the phone. Drives me nuts. If the game can run in minimized (or in the background) if grinding a multi-battle - that would be a winning feature for me.
Not sure if this has been brought up before but I want a mode or a boss feature that incentivizes a player to use more rares and epic champions. Once you get leggos it’s kraken and whales spending for leggos all day long. Power creep is real in all these games. My thought is have a bonus for an all rare team of %30 on all stats. %20 on an all epic team. For every Leggo added into the mix a -10% across the board. Have this be a rotation function on a boss or maybe a special event boss from time to time with specific rewards. I think it’s time that epics and rares continue to drive content. In raid they are now just used as guardian champs for a stat bonus. That just means wasted space and resources people are not using. Account High Score: I think it would be cool to do it like the FTP challenge in on the HH website. Have your stats and then show what percentile that ranks in the entire game. Dungeon Mutations: This sounds really cool and better version of how Raid locks floors with specific requirements. One thing I would suggest, is that if meeting certain requirements boost reqards, could it be done in a way that lets you clear the content, and then come back to pick up the extra rewards? So maybe at first you just get the basic rewards, but if you're able to build the special team, you can come back and pick up what you missed. Clearing the Red Dot for fusions: Instead of clearing red dots on fusions because you have to let them sit there for 6 months until the "optimal" time to claim them, the game is just designed in a way that you can claim the fusion right away without have to save it for a better time.
I think it would be kool if everyone could see the player name somewhere for those who are the 1st ones to unlock those secret achievements. Like on a wall of honor where things like that are displayed
You know, the minimizing question brought up another good point. I play WoR and they have a function where you can farm a dungeon in the BG and do other stuff. Like facing the Guild boss, or upgrading gear, or doing Faction lvs, and more. I hope you add something like that into the game.
Just sharing this as it's a thought I had the other day, skill upgrades need to be good, but not required (for the most part). In raid, you get a great champion, and cant even really use them properly if you dont have 5-10 maybe even more skill books saved up. Watcher of realms is much better in this regard imo. the skills get considerably stronger, but you don't need them to make the champion work/useful
The red dot problem could be solved by an assist mode type thing. I've seen it in different ways in different games. It's really efficient way to access different areas in the game. Basicaly, you have one place that tells you 'There's new stuff over there - go/ignore', 'Complete this - go/ignore', 'Complete that - go/ignore'. There usually are some red dots in conjunction with that, but much less.
I think this is a great solution to the problem. In particular the ability to be able to ignore something that requires your attention. This is basically what is missing from the red dot system. The example I give is when you don’t want to pull a fragment summons. In Raid you are just stuck with the red dot, maybe for months.
Add the option to defend to get a small temporary def boost or just skip a turn. I think that would add a layer of strategy to the fights. Plus it just makes sense. Why should you be forced to attack with the a1?
I agree. I think it could be too OP if implemented wrong. For example, if you hit a nuker with it and the nuker is built well enough it could just be an instant death sentence for your whole team with one debuff. Im not a big fan of 1 move wins. It takes the strategy and fun out of it.
The Red-dot fix is simple. Have a list of all red dots, so players can see it top to bottom, read all button, and more importantly return to the list if player forgotten something or wants to see what's completed or not.

The obvious feature (forgive me is I am being repetitive or I missed that you already have this) for any RPG is being able to customize your starter character, rather than pick from a limited set of fixed options.
Ideation session: Issue > When you are attacking your enemies, they stay like nothing is going to happen. The animation comes after the attack when the enemy animates death or takes a hit. Idea > Each character has animation before the landing hit that shows a character's preparation for the incoming hit. There might be two animations. One for a hit coming from the front and the second coming from the top. This brings even more realism to the game.
They’ve said before they’ve considered this. The only problem is there’s way too many ways to exploit it with dupe accounts or account boosting that wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the player base.
Thanks for featuring my problem with the red dots, but it was slightly misunderstood. I like the fact that red dots tell me when my attention is needed. But in Raid there are situations where the reds may remain for months. The example I give is a fragment summons that you do not want to pull right now, because you are waiting for cvc or champion chase. The result is the the summing portal also has a permanent red dot so you don’t know if something else needs your attention at the portal! What I would like is a way to get rid of the red dot without pulling the champion (in this case).
For the notification “red dot” clear, you could have it as a feature that’s unlocked after players get to a certain progression in the game. When they know what the dots are for it makes sense to clear vs trying to ignore them in the beginning and then not fully understanding the game. Rewards for lore and checking characters is a great idea
This made me think of something. Would be cool to have Hell Hades on his throne as one of the boss encounters. Or find a way to integrate it for special bosses or special perks. I have played many MMOs where GMs came into the game and enabled boss fights or interacted with the community as they took down a global boss. Tabula Rasa was my favorite of these. Richard Garriot would show up sometimes. Unfortunately, after he made his space flight, he seemed to completely drop the ball on his MMO. Still one of my favorite MMO's that I have played.
Regarding red dots, there are 2 types, those which can be collected anytime without penalty, like premium cash, anything that increases a number which has no cap, and those that take up space, so there is a reason not to collect (like artifacts, heroes, etc). The first category should be persistent, the red dot should stay until it's collected. The others, if you go into the screen, the red dots should disappear until the game is reloaded. I believe having 2 categories is important, and the second type should probably be a different coloured dot.
I hope the "play the pre release and keep a champ or 2" thing will be available to everyone, and the minimizing whilst doing something else would be amazing. WoR has a "Battery Saver" mode but you still can't open/run anything else whilst in that mode or it pauses the runs.
I second the "portrait mode" idea. Even if the functionality is pretty limited. Being able to play while I'm doing something else with my other hand would be so clutch.
Had to edit because I’m bad at English. If you hear this out you will have the best game mode in all of mobile land. Just as Pokémon lets locals raid a bosses together, steal the idea and let certain champs be on raid once a month. Of course make it challenging and so on but this community feel is all that keeps Pokémon mobile alive and you too could have this. By the way to help monetize this mode raid pass would actually be a real raid pass. Also the extra premium one might have the infinite range.
Got to love the beserker feature where by you can hurt your own team as well as bazooka the enemy. Elephants were formidable on a battle field until they were petrified leading to them running amok and mowing down friend & foe. That kind of feature should/could be worked in with some skill sets, or even just armour types. Having negative effects from items/armour should be a thing that blends well with the mythos being used. Who has not put on a magic belt and cursed the wearer with a sex change???
awesome video as always. a few things i want to mention. 1 - if you have a book style system please let us de-book. so i get X champion day 1 - 5 and its amazing it helps me progress and thats cool but down the line i get something better and this champ now gets vaulted i would love to take the books out of him to re use. i have so many wasted books in champs in raid because of this and i hate it. I WILL NOT BUY BOOKS. and i hate i cant fully utalise my new great champ because i dont get the 2 book drops a month from RNG in clan boss. let us re invest our items to some degree please. also i know you said you will have fusion style events. COOL. please dont make them every few weeks. we need time off and we need to actually level up the champs we get / have. masteries, gear etc etc. 1 of my biggest hates with raid is it has become a full time job just to keep up let alone progress. GOD FORGE OPTIMISER DAY 1 HAHAHA but seriously saph make it happen. keep up the great work guys cant wait to play
one thing i would like to know is what was the team i used previously to get me my fastest time like it might of been a random team once and then u team built more and forgot what u used that got u that 20second run and now ur just doing 1min 30.
On attacking own team. Many games have this. I will always refer back to guild wars 1. The Necro has a skill call SS was a lego skill. But you cast it on a baddie normaly someone who attacks fast. When they attack they do damage to all thier allies. To make it even worse you could do second class called messier I think and have a basic skill called echo. It will echo or copy the next skill used. So cast ss one side then the echo on other side now double damage when they attack. This would drop a group in seconds. Was a very fun class, the necro, to play.
I also had this idea of a debuff/effect (maybe % chance) to let the target attack one of his allies instead, sounds fun (atleast when happens to your opponent :D) but i dont know how well it will be received in the practise. Will definitely grant some "rofl" and "wtf" moments.
On boss destroying stuff. I played a game many years ago forgot name. But a world boss would show up in random towns. Cause havoc much like godzila would do. Anyone on the server could join. Yes may be 100 maybe 1000 but if they beat it in the time limit. Everything sold in npc shops were like half off in THAT town till next boss. IF you got it to 50% then prices stayed the same if godzilla beat you. Anyone buing that wrrk had a 50% higher cost. It greatly encouraged everyone to join in the fight.
Charm to attack there own, bezerk to random attack anyone with higher attack and less defense and confusion just random attack anyone. I like surviving waves to get better rewards.serting teams out to do auto collecting excellent.
With regards to attacking myself, there would have to be conditions. I think it would become easier if I am playing champs from different factions. The more I play with champs from the same faction, the stronger my resistance would be against the Glamour.
A way longer campaign I think is a really good idea or adding additional content to it as for example in raid it's just used for farming XP which is boring.
Attacking own team, maybe with 50%damage and only on 1 hero in the team. It's like a provoke in Raid, but more powerful. But if your hero misses a turn too it would be too OP, so I think after berserk, the hero should do a normal turn, so berserk is kinda a side effect like a burn or poison.
The ability to utilize the summons that I get, WITHOUT BOOKS, would be great. Make the summon level from 1-100 and unlock the skills higher levels as I level them. I could care less how many super rare, uber summons I get because I will never be able to use them due to books in RAID.
I would love to see all the allies attack each other that would be hilarious to see in a grand finale I’m very curious to see what your take and spin on it will be and how it works will they do there gear states and the hero’s actually attack if so it would be hilarious for a dps on the allies to to just one shot their own tank or Helier or there second Dps and it would be awsome to force the healer to heal the enemy teams that would be awsome
For everyone on Android i do split screen for Raid, then go to a portrait mode, then minimize it to 25%. And I can use my 75% of the phone. So developers don't need to waste dev time on this. Just instructions for players on how to do it.
Why not make familiars as mythical attachments, where a boss can become your familiar, gain his skills next to yours in end game content. Say you choose a skill of your champ and say his mythical familiar is an golden eagle, select a skill of this golden eagle you would like to use and the champ does a skill and the eagle fly over the team attacking the boss with cool animations. There is so much potential in that because no one really does it in a turn based game.
I mean something similar to that could be great in something like a cursed city setup since hard mode is end game stuff, many stages to actually enjoy the feature of having a familiar.
If there will be a system similar to Raid's masteries, please let us farm the curency for the account and we spend on the heroes when we build instead of having to use they to farm it.
I would like the the allies not to attack each other but just apply confusion like stun ,but their chances to attack is only 50% and hit chance is only 30%... This way would be good to all players in PvP or pve.
Skin frag are pretty 1 dimensional. Give ppl the option to customize their char's skin via hair color skin color etc.. it's a pretty common in game feature now. Also, it would be great if each eq slot item actually showed up on your champ when you equiped. A full set of ferral gear should make your char look decked out in fur... etc.. doesn't make sense that they look the same with all the diff gear sets. It would be fun to see how ridiculous they look too in random and broken pieces. Let us farm/forge customized unique gear. this could also be a hidden mastery that unlocks at max level + after you have farmed a certain frag enuff times. etc. etc.. An instant account reset - reset everything, great hall, masteries, unequip gear, skills. these are all ideas that would make sense to cost in game currency. Not a dumb, lets screw everyone by making gear swap cost somthing. imo that adds no value to the game except to piss ppl off and nickel and dime them. There's so much more feature rich stuff ppl would be willing to spend money on.
I played dragon heir for a while and the red dots were just mindless clicks after a couple weeks I had no idea what I was doing or understanding much of the gameplay but just click red dot and go to mark on map and that was so boring.
Talking of account switching, Instagram does this. For example I have 3 Instagram accounts, providing I authenticate to all of them once, I’m then able to swap between them pretty instantly. This would be great for running multiple game accounts.
i want a raid shadow legends but you can play as the champions with there skills as if it where a shooter/fighter game. i like a little action with my collections
I like the berserker idea .. instead of it hits x number of enemies at random could be hits x heroes other than this one at random... Could be funny with counter attacks
Oh had a game think called Rohan. But the guild leader could appoint 2 or 3 commanders. This was when you went into guild hall. Was cool cause ONLY your clan could go in it and would sit n chat. But the clan chest you could put armor, gems. Anything you use for crafting. I wanted to see charters trade also so if you had 2 and you wanted someone's double yall could trade. This I felt would have been nice for us in DH when they killed our accounts. I have few Asian friends that would have loved some of my charters.but all the money in the game was totally wasted and THAT really upset me the most. All that time from early beta making these folks and is just gone. When rest of the world still plays we should have been able to give to our friends. With this clan chest at least can give within clan.
I would say unlimited multibattles so you don't have to use something like rsl helper and being able to farm champions and not having to rely on rng as I got really bad rng lol
proper arena matchmaking. Im currently 115K power, yet the game thinks its somehow fair to match me up with players 300K to over 1.5million. So now i sit and have to just refresh every 15mins just to RNG a fair fight. I barely get through my arena coins every day unless i sit in the game most of it because of this. Its a very shit experience and makes arena a full day job instead of something i can quickly do as a daily.
I hope the game will be great and my only advice/idea is don't have random rewards. Random rewards are essentially a gambling, and gambling should not be in a video game played by children.
Problem will not be content you can add. I still think the core engine and system is faulty. There will be no actual story content to tie game adhevisely together. Easy story why I am here with this hero. Looting a village, defending a village what is the red line. Raid has no red line, Watcher has no red line... red line cannot be collecting gear or heroes. Only this raid has is mathematical system.
The Berserk Idea is a cool take on it. I come from Final Fantasy and confusion just do a random action ( attack yourself or attack ally ) Berserk works kind of like his idea, where you get a damage boost but you can only attack and you cant choose a target. I dont know how PvP will be with the RNG added between both the debuffs.
not a thing to add but a thing to not have, lets not have pointless farming for a att% 2 start weapon on normal when you are actually farming Hard or brutal, an absolute pain in the behind and waste of resources. If there is to be this then have a cap on how much energy spent before it drops, so there is a cap on energy spent or coins spent lol, a small thing i know

Speaking of the modular level design... It would be really amazing to see a dungeon crawler/roguelike mode in a game like this.

Attacking our own team is fine and would be fun as long as there is a method to counter it. If it's just RNG it may be frustrating.

If there's a champ trading mechanic (with certain requirements for example, where you can only trade your dupe) that shit would be bonkers.

A better way is to just have the option to turn off notifications, including an indicator of new stuff.

With regards to attacking myself, there would have to be conditions. I think it would become easier if I am playing champs from different factions. The more I play with champs from the same faction, the stronger my resistance would be against the Glamour.
A way longer campaign I think is a really good idea or adding additional content to it as for example in raid it's just used for farming XP which is boring.
Attacking own team, maybe with 50%damage and only on 1 hero in the team. It's like a provoke in Raid, but more powerful. But if your hero misses a turn too it would be too OP, so I think after berserk, the hero should do a normal turn, so berserk is kinda a side effect like a burn or poison.
Also real time pvp where you can battle anytime and can fight against friends guildies etc
The ability to utilize the summons that I get, WITHOUT BOOKS, would be great. Make the summon level from 1-100 and unlock the skills higher levels as I level them. I could care less how many super rare, uber summons I get because I will never be able to use them due to books in RAID.
I would love to see all the allies attack each other that would be hilarious to see in a grand finale I’m very curious to see what your take and spin on it will be and how it works will they do there gear states and the hero’s actually attack if so it would be hilarious for a dps on the allies to to just one shot their own tank or Helier or there second Dps and it would be awsome to force the healer to heal the enemy teams that would be awsome

For everyone on Android i do split screen for Raid, then go to a portrait mode, then minimize it to 25%. And I can use my 75% of the phone.
So developers don't need to waste dev time on this. Just instructions for players on how to do it.
Why not make familiars as mythical attachments, where a boss can become your familiar, gain his skills next to yours in end game content. Say you choose a skill of your champ and say his mythical familiar is an golden eagle, select a skill of this golden eagle you would like to use and the champ does a skill and the eagle fly over the team attacking the boss with cool animations. There is so much potential in that because no one really does it in a turn based game.
I mean something similar to that could be great in something like a cursed city setup since hard mode is end game stuff, many stages to actually enjoy the feature of having a familiar.
If there will be a system similar to Raid's masteries, please let us farm the curency for the account and we spend on the heroes when we build instead of having to use they to farm it.

I would like the the allies not to attack each other but just apply confusion like stun ,but their chances to attack is only 50% and hit chance is only 30%... This way would be good to all players in PvP or pve.
Skin frag are pretty 1 dimensional. Give ppl the option to customize their char's skin via hair color skin color etc.. it's a pretty common in game feature now.
Also, it would be great if each eq slot item actually showed up on your champ when you equiped. A full set of ferral gear should make your char look decked out in fur... etc.. doesn't make sense that they look the same with all the diff gear sets. It would be fun to see how ridiculous they look too in random and broken pieces.
Let us farm/forge customized unique gear. this could also be a hidden mastery that unlocks at max level + after you have farmed a certain frag enuff times. etc. etc..
An instant account reset - reset everything, great hall, masteries, unequip gear, skills.
these are all ideas that would make sense to cost in game currency. Not a dumb, lets screw everyone by making gear swap cost somthing. imo that adds no value to the game except to piss ppl off and nickel and dime them. There's so much more feature rich stuff ppl would be willing to spend money on.

I played dragon heir for a while and the red dots were just mindless clicks after a couple weeks I had no idea what I was doing or understanding much of the gameplay but just click red dot and go to mark on map and that was so boring.
My god one click account swap would be 10/10
Talking of account switching, Instagram does this. For example I have 3 Instagram accounts, providing I authenticate to all of them once, I’m then able to swap between them pretty instantly. This would be great for running multiple game accounts.

I like the berserker idea .. instead of it hits x number of enemies at random could be hits x heroes other than this one at random... Could be funny with counter attacks

Oh had a game think called Rohan. But the guild leader could appoint 2 or 3 commanders. This was when you went into guild hall. Was cool cause ONLY your clan could go in it and would sit n chat. But the clan chest you could put armor, gems. Anything you use for crafting. I wanted to see charters trade also so if you had 2 and you wanted someone's double yall could trade. This I felt would have been nice for us in DH when they killed our accounts. I have few Asian friends that would have loved some of my charters.but all the money in the game was totally wasted and THAT really upset me the most. All that time from early beta making these folks and is just gone. When rest of the world still plays we should have been able to give to our friends. With this clan chest at least can give within clan.

I would say unlimited multibattles so you don't have to use something like rsl helper and being able to farm champions and not having to rely on rng as I got really bad rng lol
proper arena matchmaking. Im currently 115K power, yet the game thinks its somehow fair to match me up with players 300K to over 1.5million. So now i sit and have to just refresh every 15mins just to RNG a fair fight. I barely get through my arena coins every day unless i sit in the game most of it because of this. Its a very shit experience and makes arena a full day job instead of something i can quickly do as a daily.

I hope the game will be great and my only advice/idea is don't have random rewards. Random rewards are essentially a gambling, and gambling should not be in a video game played by children.
Problem will not be content you can add. I still think the core engine and system is faulty. There will be no actual story content to tie game adhevisely together. Easy story why I am here with this hero. Looting a village, defending a village what is the red line. Raid has no red line, Watcher has no red line... red line cannot be collecting gear or heroes. Only this raid has is mathematical system.
Try to go play last mage standing u should have a mini game in fateless like it
The Berserk Idea is a cool take on it. I come from Final Fantasy and confusion just do a random action ( attack yourself or attack ally )
Berserk works kind of like his idea, where you get a damage boost but you can only attack and you cant choose a target.
I dont know how PvP will be with the RNG added between both the debuffs.

not a thing to add but a thing to not have, lets not have pointless farming for a att% 2 start weapon on normal when you are actually farming Hard or brutal, an absolute pain in the behind and waste of resources. If there is to be this then have a cap on how much energy spent before it drops, so there is a cap on energy spent or coins spent lol, a small thing i know
