This is precisely what i needed to make my Fizzarolli gloves; 10/10 for being a quick video, illustrating each step, and having an accessible method. Thank you!
Submerging the whole glove in water will deteriorate the cardboard and make it much easier to pick the pieces out while not putting stress on the stitching
Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been thinking of using tights for my costume as I dont want to have to use a lot of body paint if I decide want the character to be purple or blue, but I was struggling to work out how I’d get long gloves to match, so hopefully this will solve that perfectly! I have one question though, if I accidentally sewed the cardboard to the gloves would it work to soak them in water for a bit so the cardboard would break away?
That's a great idea to get the cardboard off that you accidentally sew over!! (Wish I'd thought of that instead of just seam ripping some of it out haha) So yeah, definitely try that! It won't hurt the pantyhose at all but might deteriorate the cardboard enough to get it loose :)
This is an amazing tutorial! One question I have though is can you use any color thread since it’s going to be hidden inside the glove when you turn it inside out? Or does it have to be the color of the fabric?
It's best to go with the same color as the fabric, since when the tights are stretched, they might become a little less opaque and you might see it. But if you have to, using either white or black (whichever is closest to the same color) it should be okay!
I've been rewatching videos about arm socks, because I am working to get my beast boy together better, as well as start on Raven. I'm trying to figure how much sizing would play into arm coverings, I know it will big time with Rae for her legs, but how much does it with arms? If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it so much!!! 💙💙
Amazing tutorial! I hand sewed mine and they turned out great. My gloves go to the shoulder and are pretty snug fitting. Question about the nails, how did you keep them from gluing through the fabric and onto your nails/skin? I know you said you got some on you and you could wash it off, but did they actually glue on to your real nails? If so, did you just peel them off and the nails stayed attached to the fabric? Thank you for making this!!
So if you're super paranoid and want to keep your real nails from getting gunk on them (like if you have nail polish you don't want to maybe rip off, cause fabric-tac smells like it has acetone in it? I'm not 100% sure if it does or not) you can use a thick sharpie or something in place of your real fingers when placing the nails on. Otherwise if you're not worried about that, the nails stuck just fine! They did stick a bit to my own nails, but peeling them off didn't hurt anything, and this glue is super flexible so it just peeled right off my nails no problem :)

Can i do this by hand sewing?
Using a cardboard form is genius.
Wow this is super helpfull, thanks :3
Very Impressed
I don’t have a sewing machine, is it okay if I do it all by hand?
Yes! It might actually even be easier to control doing it by hand.
Would anyone know if you can do this but without a sewing machine? Do it completely by hand?
Yes you can! and actually it'll probably be easier to do by hand since you have more control and won't run over the cardboard haha
Thank you!!
Did the nails stay glued on the tights well?
Yes! I've worn them multiple times now and they're all still attached :)
This is such a brilliant tutorial!! Thank you so much! 🖤🖤
