Ginny, I can't seriously thank you enough for how accessible you've made cosplay for beginners! You explain everything so clearly and do a great job showing your process, and it really helps ease the nerves of making a new garment for people like me who don't have a ton of sewing experience.
Every sewing tutorial should be like this. Your instructions were clear and not overly-wordy, we could see what you were doing, and it wasn’t 20 minutes long. Perfect!!
This is such a clear and concise tutorial thank you!! I've spent all this time thinking a skirt like this would be wayyyyy out of my skill level as a pretty new sewer, but this actually is super encouraging and makes me think I really could do this myself!
Thank you so much for this! I've been putting off making my skirt for Jester because sewing absolutely terrifies me, but I feel so much better about it after watching this!
OMG! I was searching TH-cam for an in depth tutorial on this literally yesterday and then the notification for this just popped up? Thank you QUEEN 😤👌🏼👏
You're just incredible! My ADHD makes it almost impossible for me to do projects anymore, but this video makes it seem so much easier. Thanks for laying out all the steps. I'm really excited!
this video is so helpful indeed since im currently taking sewing classes in hopes to be able to make my own costumes so this gives me an idea on how to make skirts which from my experience in my class are way easier to make than tops
Currently making a jester cosplay, and my skirt doesn’t feel full enough as is. I’ll have to try this! I hope one of your tutorials is on how to make the belts, because that’s what I’m currently stuck on. This is such a nice and concise tutorial btw!
Thank you so much! Though I'm not cosplaying I designed something similar to this and I was looking for how to make a skirt with two different fabrics! ❤
Thank you so much! I love your cosplay and it inspired me to start planning my own Jester, I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to a full dress! Hope you are having a wonderful day
Your talent is amazing! I just bought myself a Ren Faire outfit that looked close enough! (Being plus sized, and having no sewing skills, makes it harder for me.) I hope that, one day, I will be able to get to your level of cosplay skill!
This would actually go really nice with the muffin hat I made from your other video - I'm making myself a minstrel's costume to wear when me and my friends can go out again
Hey Ginny, I swear you used to have a video about how you made your tights gloves, but I can't find it. Has it been taken down or us my mind just making it up or something? And if there isn't a video could you make one? Thanks
Sewing Machines...any chance of a review vid of different types? Like, a good sewing machine is a huge thing for costume makers, but I don;t see much on youtube about good/bad ones.
Oh my god, you put the zipper in *before* you sewed the whole thing together?? That would've saved me hours in messing up with my other circle skirts 🤦🏻♀️

That makes me SO happy to hear!!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much, I'm so glad to hear that!!
Bless you for this! I will 1000000% be using this to make my skirt
I'm so glad I could help!!
I’ve wanted to cosplay as Jester for a while now. Your tutorials will be greatly appreciated, thank you for your hard work!!

This was awesome! For another tutorial, one over how you made her corset/armor! Watching your IG story had me fascinated
Amazing tutorial, it's well explained and you make it easy for anyone to access the available tools you use. Keep up the awesome work!

Especially for jester, a petticoat underneath the skirt is a good idea! You can find them relatively cheap on Amazon 💙
Yeah, a petticoat is a good idea! I wear one under my own Jester costume a lot.
Thank you so much! Though I'm not cosplaying I designed something similar to this and I was looking for how to make a skirt with two different fabrics! ❤
I don't ever plan on making a skirt but I'll watch anything Ginny Di makes. :D
The one thumb down was clearly Avantika
A MUCH better tutorial than whatever I read decades ago making my Wizard robes. You are an outstanding teacher!
I've been considering cosplaying Jester since starting CR (Exactly a month ago!) and this is soooooo helpful thank you!
Thank you so much! Clear and concise, it looks so easy.
FINALLY. I have been waiting for this video for who knows how long and now you did it and I'm so happyyyyyyyyyy thank you
Glad I could help out!
Thank you so much!
I love your cosplay and it inspired me to start planning my own Jester, I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to a full dress!
Hope you are having a wonderful day
ToT thank you!
I’m making a jester cosplay and I have been debating how to make it for a few weeks!
omg bless you Ginny, as a newby cosplayer this is so helpful!!!
Awesome! I love the lace panels - its making me so tempted to go and remake my lace inserts.
This makes me want to get back into crafting. Great tutorial!

I love your work. It looks so cool. I may try this one day. Thank you so much!

This is so useful, thanks so much
This is very handy.
I really liked the video, everything is very well explained :) im planning to do a similar skirt for my LARP character
Thanks Imma just make this real quick and wear it literraly every second of my life
Thank you! This helps so much!
So talented
Thank you so much!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
So cool - thank you :D
Soo cuteee
This. Is. So. FUCKING. CUUUUUUUUUTE!!!!!
You are super cool!!!

Fantastic tutorial! Don't the panels add to the waist of the finished skirt? Did you account for that in the measurements?
Natalie Saunders Nope, they’re very well-balanced by the lack of seam allowance between the circle skirt panels.
@@GinnyDi awesome, thanks!
What was type of the blue fabric used?
What fabric did you use for the blue parts?
Is it possible to do stuff like this hand sewing?
It's certainly possible - it's POSSIBLE to sew pretty much anything by hand! It'll just be extremely slow going.
Thanks Ginny Di! I don’t have a sewing machine and can’t afford one but I really want to make a few inexpensive cosplays
Yes, it will just take WAY more time and probably be a little messier if you aren't careful about every stitch.
Sewing Machines...any chance of a review vid of different types? Like, a good sewing machine is a huge thing for costume makers, but I don;t see much on youtube about good/bad ones.
I'm sorry, I don't feel qualified to do that! The machine I use is a hand-me-down from my mom - I've never even shopped for a machine.
Can you please tell the app for cosplay tutorial and make up
...what?
@@GinnyDi i mean from which website or shopping app you are purchasing your cosplay tutorial and costume
Interesting :D
I CAST FIREBALL
Oh my god, you put the zipper in *before* you sewed the whole thing together?? That would've saved me hours in messing up with my other circle skirts 🤦🏻♀️
:( thought you would model it.
...sorry? This is a video about garment construction.
