LYRICS (from TH-cam description):
Their bread tastes like rock
Joining circles of the dead
As I am drinking all the sewage
Of the damage they call help.
In the land of the blind
the one-eyed is a king.
He plants in their empty pots
Ugly rotten seeds.
Ugly rotten seeds in their empty pots.
Collecting blood is his ambition.
He sets so light the value upon lives.
Each despicable decision
Activates his dreadful knights.
Their bread tastes like rock
Joining circles of the dead
As I am drinking all the sewage
Of the damage they call help.
And his order has become their thought.
Take a listen, their mouths
Are fully loaded with his words.
No thought of their own arose.
Collecting blood is his ambition.
He sets so light the value upon lives.
Each despicable decision
Activates his dreadful knights.
Shut up! take a listen, take a listen!
Fully loaded.
Shut up! take a listen, take a listen!
Fully loaded.
There’s nothing left in his stone chest
Just rogue and endless battles.
Rogue
We are forcefully put on his map,
War-drum always rattles.
Rogue.

Non-stop rage.
🤟💥🤟 So Angry So Heavy So Cool! The best track of the last four!
When I first heard this song it was easy to tell that Tatiana was in full rage mode. No duality, no sarcasm, just anger. I immediately read the lyrics and what hit me is the same as other commenters have said - the lyrics of this song are directed solely at Putin. The members of Jinjer have been victims of Putin for almost 11 years now when the members of Jinjer were forced to leave their homes in the Donbas region of Ukraine, as did thousands of others. Home Back expressed the horror and confusion and desperation of the Ukrainians that were the first victims of the invasion. The song goes after the man solely responsible for the aggression and who has the blood of so many on his hands, including the blood of his own soldiers.
While we agree that this song is directed mainly at Putin and that he was the reason for it being written, we also think that what is described here (as well) is the wider, worldwide problem of the same situation existing in other countries. Additionally, there is an underlying criticism of the people, or the "sheep", who just blindly follow and never question. We would like to think that there are levels to this song, which just add to how great the song is and how awesome Tati's writing is.
Thank you, as always, for being such an awesome supporters of the show, Dan. We truly appreciate you!
@@myindieprodentertainment As shown by recent events in South Korea, a leader will sometimes believe (or hope) the people are sheep but is quickly proven wrong. It might be the exception rather than the rule, but I still take comfort in how events played out in South Korea. We will now find out how politically fatal his monumental miscalculation turns out to be.
@@danw6048 We think this is what Jinjer hope to "preach" with this song, that we don't have to, or shouldn't, blindly follow. As mentioned in the episode, Ren has a similar philosophy which he preaches with his work. Hopefully such artists are starting to get through to people, and in the right way.
This song is about Vladimir Putin . It is raw emotion, in your face, ground and pound Jinjer.
🤘🤘
I'm quite sure that this is an anti-Putin rant - he is the specific rogue they have in mind in this song, which amply explains the relentless aggression. No doubt, there's no shortage of rogues to which the song applies.
This song has been a grower for me - I was pretty lukewarm on it at first, but it has really worked its way into my brain. I love it, especially the dissonant chords, the two groovy sections in the middle, and Tati's guttural "RRRROGUE!".
"Rogue" is my 2nd favourite of the 4 singles released so far for their upcoming album. My favourite dropped about 4 or 5 days ago: "Green Serpent". It's not as relentlessly heavy, much more melodic, and Tati explores some vocal territory in it that is new for her.
fu...ing Putin's war in the ukraine.....
the rogue is PUTIN the dictator.
thanx a lot for your reaction and maybe next the brandnew sonf from Jinjer:
Green Serpent (Official Video) If music lovers still don't understand what an extraordinary band Jinjer is after listening to this song, then I think there's no helping you...
warm greetings from the german musician
Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated!
Great discussion, guys. We're living in "interesting" times, indeed.
What we noticed is that in addition to the Putin (or insert Tyrant name here) criticism, there is also a criticism of "the people" here, the ones who blindly follow and just take what they are given without any critical thinking. A very poignant song and indeed, fitting with these "interesting times"...
Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated!
@@myindieprodentertainment "No thought of their own arose", indeed.
We have a lot of sheep in USA.
They're everywhere, my friend.
