Her voice is incredibly versatile, she can tackle all sorts of genres with that range, also those drum compositions are sound complex but also unique to their sound.
From what I've heard , green serpent is an eastern European metaphor for alcoholism , which you probably knew. But yes, that's what the song is about. Saw an article from July saying Tati was celebrating 7 months sober, so that would be just about a year now. So looking forward to the full album in Feb. This is the 4th single from 'Duel'. My favorite from the album so far is the 1st single ,"Someone's Daughter" , recommend checking that one out.
This is some of my favourite vocal melodic composition from Tati, & I love her extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice to hit highs in this piece, a part of her vocal repertoire that we've heard very little of before now. The section with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great tom drum groove is incredible, & I love the Opethy outro. Even the stripped down, simple chuggy riffs in the last two heavy sections are a welcome addition, as Jinjer fans usually have to struggle to head bang to Jinjer's weird rhythms & unusual, shifting time signatures (which I also love, of course). This is a *great* song, destined to be a Jinjer classic, IMO. They've already performed this song live, and it sounds great!
lol Green Serpent is metaphorically referred to alcohol in russian. Bitten by green serpent in slavic tradition is symbolic of alcoholism and the depths of intoxication/addiction.....as for the song, the opeth outro is cool. Middle LOG breakdown is cool. Also kinda sounds like an angular proggy album cut on first listen, but quickly turns out to be a banger😂😂.....also tati looks hot here 😂😂 Jinjer - Audiotree From Nothing (Live Performance)
I’m Bosnian we have different way of describing this! But it makes sense now thank you!!! That intro and Outro is really awesome and mid section is complete mind fuck!
I have to agree
I always find it amazing how quickly Jinjer can level up their game to an epic performance.

Being Eastern European I should have known that lol!!!!
@@dejzmi7089 There is some debate about whether it's Eastern European or just Russian/Ukrainian. Anyway you get the idea.
