Roman I think what you said about being a good example for your kids really hit me. It made me realize how much of an affect you have had on my life. I literally grew up watching you. I'm 21 now and I've never wanted to drink, never had the urge to try substances, never got addicted to social media. I realized after listening to this podcast that you are the biggest motivation for all of it.

I have a new puppy, so I’ve been “watching” more podcasts lately so I can WATCH HIM more, and I heard this and had to come leave a comment for Brittany. She’s says, “But what if they don’t like what I say?” And it shot me straight back to 1988, talking to my best friend/granny and saying the exact same words. And she shared something that CHANGED my life: “If anybody EVER asks you, “You know what ______ said about you?” Your response should ALWAYS be “IT’S NONE OF MY BUSINESS.” People can think or say whatever they want, but the amount of power you give them in that opinion is all on YOU.”
Welcome back, Roman and Brit. Couple of things. I am 52. My oldest will be 30 in August, and my youngest is 9 and a half. Talk about an age gap! The energy level is definitely different. Getting off the floor does take a little more effort. I have been sober for 23 years. It takes a long time for the cravings to cease. I really only miss alcohol around the Christmas holiday season. I believe cussing is fairly innocent and not overly harmful as long as it isn't being directed at the kids. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to future episodes.
My husband is 58 I’m 40 and we have a 2 year old. We struggled with infertility for 8 years. Through the miracle of IVF we got our baby girl! AND her name is Cora 🥰
Love your podcasts. So glad you’re back and so proud of Roman for giving up caffeine and alcohol. I miss them too, but my life is so much more rich and full without them I also gave up sugar 12 years ago and have never felt better. The addiction to all of these is real. Stay strong brother. And your desire to be an example for your children is a gift from God. And Brittney is spot on….don’t put out into the universe that you want a drink, or caffeine, or cussing - unless you acknowledge in the same breath that that’s not who you are any longer. You two are so refreshing. Love your parenting style. I can’t believe you have an 18 year old. Keep up the great work. ❤

Man, you hit me so hard on the quitting a substance, I've been addicted to chewing tobacco for over 10 years, but I am almost 2 months without it now!! It feels wonderful but when I'm working on a car, I want some chewing tobacco so bad, but I push through, the major thing I'm so proud of myself!!! Thank you Roman and Brittany Atwood!!!!

I quit caffeine in the new year and I too am struggling but the biggest change for me is truly the lifting feeling of not HAVING to have it anymore. Big energy for sure !

My dad was mostly sober from when I was 5 years old until I was 18. And even after that, he did not drink much. He wanted to be sober so that if I was ever in a situation where I needed help, he could be there. He did not tell me this until I was much older. He would have a drink if we were on vacation, and I was there, so he knew I was safe and where I was. Being a parent and wanting to have a straight mind well doing so is a good idea. My husband is the responsible one, so I still enjoy a drink here and there, lol, but I really understand now having my own child why he did it.
Brittney is 100% right it is more sugar than caffeine. I was a heavy mt. dew drinker growing up talking about 24 pack in 2 or 3 days. at age 40. I woke up hated the way I felt and just said I am not drinking soda anymore and haven't since and feel great. now.. I still drink my 2 cups of coffee black in the morning but that is it. so if I can kick soda you can kick energy drinks. your health will thank you.
to me i feel like its the caffeine. I'll drink the no sugar pop or energy drink over ones with sugar. I still try to quit but its an up and down hill battle. I do choose water at restaurants over a sugary drink, just need to at home more often as well.

Love the pod. I’m almost 38 so we’re close in age. But talking about Aim and the chat rooms brings back memories. I met my wife in an AOL aim chat room at 16. We met in 2001 and have been together since. Married for 16 years now with a 10 yr old. ❤ you guys!
At a company picnic we were taking about our favorite TH-camrs. Your channel came up and a lot of people had a lot to say. People talked about LOVING your older videos, your vlogs. There was a general consensus of a major shift in who you were then versus now. The majority seemed to not like the Mormon influence. There was an old Roman and a new Roman and you grew one way, they stayed in their lane. Just thought I’d share.

Brittney is ESSENTIAL to the podcast. I understand why the vlog channel and this one are called "Roman Atwood", since that is the brand recognition, but it's not just Roman, it's the Atwood FAMILY and Brit is an ENORMOUS part of that. Of course we love Roman, I'm not saying he can't carry the show on his own when he needs to, but it's better with the team because the team is what we're here for ❤. Now that all being said, if she doesn't WANT to do the podcast, that's an entirely different story. I just hope she doesn't feel like we think she's boring, cuz she said "she never has anything to say or talk about".

My dad was mostly sober from when I was 5 years old until I was 18. And even after that, he did not drink much. He wanted to be sober so that if I was ever in a situation where I needed help, he could be there. He did not tell me this until I was much older. He would have a drink if we were on vacation, and I was there, so he knew I was safe and where I was. Being a parent and wanting to have a straight mind well doing so is a good idea. My husband is the responsible one, so I still enjoy a drink here and there, lol, but I really understand now having my own child why he did it.

Brittney is 100% right it is more sugar than caffeine. I was a heavy mt. dew drinker growing up talking about 24 pack in 2 or 3 days. at age 40. I woke up hated the way I felt and just said I am not drinking soda anymore and haven't since and feel great. now.. I still drink my 2 cups of coffee black in the morning but that is it. so if I can kick soda you can kick energy drinks. your health will thank you.
to me i feel like its the caffeine. I'll drink the no sugar pop or energy drink over ones with sugar. I still try to quit but its an up and down hill battle. I do choose water at restaurants over a sugary drink, just need to at home more often as well.

At a company picnic we were taking about our favorite TH-camrs. Your channel came up and a lot of people had a lot to say. People talked about LOVING your older videos, your vlogs. There was a general consensus of a major shift in who you were then versus now. The majority seemed to not like the Mormon influence. There was an old Roman and a new Roman and you grew one way, they stayed in their lane. Just thought I’d share.

Brittney is ESSENTIAL to the podcast. I understand why the vlog channel and this one are called "Roman Atwood", since that is the brand recognition, but it's not just Roman, it's the Atwood FAMILY and Brit is an ENORMOUS part of that. Of course we love Roman, I'm not saying he can't carry the show on his own when he needs to, but it's better with the team because the team is what we're here for ❤.
Now that all being said, if she doesn't WANT to do the podcast, that's an entirely different story. I just hope she doesn't feel like we think she's boring, cuz she said "she never has anything to say or talk about".
