Alex shares his thoughts. It is eye-opening. A Perspective that not many people know of. But if you are in today's car culture it's sad how many of us would rather watch it unfold and die from a distance vs coming together to control the over reach.

Everything said, I 100% agree with. After this episode, I totally could sit down with Coop and not have an argument. I feel like a kid watching a house burn. I have no idea how to help, where to start, or what to do to help fight the EPA, CARB, and SEMA to save our ability to race. I've wrote my representative, my senator, and supported PRI. But when I go to races, no one has any idea we might be stopped from racing. I have time, ability, and desire to be a voice, but have no resources to do it. I'm at my local strip most weeks. Just give us a map...

Wonderful in depth conversation. I just keep going back to the idea that there will be bands of car guys, like the Amish. We will brew our own ethanol, and methanol, or biodiesel. Cars are our religion, many of us will never give it up. We ask important questions about the environment around us. And how fragile the system is. We are all going to have to pull back from the video stuff, we have to go slightly more underground. We may have to go back to living life, rather than watching others live theirs, simply so they don't end up filming thier own arrest.
1/4 of the way in, He is talking about 11,800 years, younger drias impact theory. and it's not a conspiracy theory, there is loads of evidence from core samples from the arctic, that show the heating and cooling cycles of the earth.
Just look at any estimates of global temp. Anything before 11,600 years ago is wonky as hell. Massive global temperature swings of preposterous amounts. We only came out of an ice age because of a comet impact, possibly volcano, that completely rocked the earth.

It's my belief that all the complaints a few years ago about illegally tuned diesel's rolling coal is what initially got the EPA's attention. I mean at the time you would hear complaints about it on the news regularly. But it quickly expanded beyond just diesels. This will probably be an unpopular comment, but it is the truth. It is or was quite easy to find video's from channels like PFI speed dynoing cars with hood exit straight piped exhausts, then videoing themselves driving them on the streets. Or like the videos Boosted Boi Kyle put up a few years ago showing step by step how he put his red civic hatch back to naturally aspirated and full exhaust to pass Colorado emissions, and then turn right around and put all the turbo stuff back on and took it strait to PFI for a tune, then him driving it on the streets. People seem to have forgotten that videoing yourself breaking laws and I mean any laws and then putting those videos on the internet is literally asking for trouble, and they then act all surprised that they got caught. Like dont get me wrong I love PFI, and Boosted Boi's, and Cooper, and all those guys, but I dont know what else they were expecting would happen..

The epa wont and doesn't go after big companies directly because they have the resources and fight to push back. Its easier for them to put the little guys out of business. Once they get all the little guys out it hits the big guys because no one is buying their product now.

  • @theatomproject007

The whole CARB/EPA (and even Right-to-Repair) matter seems to be so distant to so many people because it's always "about other people in other states". The reality is that it's literally the linchpin of all Federal Environmental Regulation. I don't mean this as a tangential agenda related to Environmental issues, but in fact a core issue that Environmentalists are working on 24/7/365. The biggest problem is that no one has the willingness/desire to call it out the authoritarianism for what it is. "It's for the environment." is always the mantra so any challenges to the narrative are portrayed as being against The Environment. This is similar to parading around a young autistic Swedish environmental activist. "You can't challenge her, she is but a child of pure heart." Bitch, go eat a bag of Falukorv.

@@rdejaynes Nah, I stay handling myself. If the surface finish on our helmets is allowed to degrade for more than 48hrs at a time then there needs to be a full strip off and re-apply filler primer wherein ya gotta wet stroke sand that compound curvature in preparation for the topcoat of head sealant.
Personally I like the PPG ultra clear coat or an epoxy clear coat. That way when Im handling myself and keeping the surface mirror perfect I also keep that calm mindset regularly embraced by the Post Nut Clarity.
Keep it polished often enough and Meguiars sprat detailer and a yearly claybar keeps my helmets perfectly smooth and shiny.
Everyone loves gazing upon the majesty of shaft displayed and mounted maintained and perfectly finished Helmets. Im locally revered for my dedication to the solo craft polishing enthusiasts.
Too much innuendo? Outyourendo? When do I stop? There are still wrinkles in the helmet presentation weight "sack." I can't seem to do a damn thing getting them wrinkles out.

Farmers in Europe have been in a huge fight with John Deere over the right to repair as John Deere has locked there computers and will not allow any one but a Deere tec to gain access. Farmers are saying we paid hundreds of thousands and need these machines fixed right now. We can buy the parts and install them ourselves but we can’t access the computer to diagnose the problem.
The courts have ruled in favour of the farmers.

To Alex's point about D-N-D events(I'm a huge fan), I wasn't impressed When PFI Brent gave his speech at RMRW about supporting the RPM Act. .....here we are getting ready to drive our "street cars" on a 1500 mile trip.....now let's get behind a Bill that will do nothing to help support "Street Cars". I like Brent and his channel. However, I have no intention of ever owning a Purely Strip car.
