I’m here to thank you for this Amala method. Been making Amala for years…it’s always a hit or miss depending on the quality of the elubo. So I always go into the Amala making very uncertain of the outcome. I recently bought one elubo flour that always comes out with lumps and decided I’ll just throw it out. Your video popped up on my feed and I decided to try your method. Omygooodness!…it came out so silky and no lump/koko in sight. It tasted so so good too. Thank you thank you thank you 🎉
Hmmm.. my first ever time of making amala, used this method and WOWWWW!! It came out perrrrrrrfect🎉🎉🎉 you need to see how i was dancing in the kitchen😎 super proud. I sha stirred like my life depended on it😂😂 Thank you so so much for this❤ God bless!
I tried the Amala process just now...And Damn!!!! I just had to hit the subscribe button. I was blushing as I was making the Amala...Na me make Amala wey go Harvard like this🤭🫠... My hands are hurting but sha it was worth the process.Thank you mama🙇❤
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. All my time of making Amala it always come out horrible. I just decided to check on TH-cam again and your channel was the first to pop up. I used your method and it was WOW. Thank you, Thank you.
I was tired of turning and I felt like passing out maybe because I am not feeling too well so i ended up add more yam flour but I till had a beautiful Amala. Thank you
I use the first (original) method most of the time and I don’t get lumps. This is just an alternative method for those still finding it difficult to make smooth amala. First method is also not hard at all. Only a few tips and you’ll be a pro. I have both methods here on my channel
Amala shouldn’t be bitter. If it’s bitter then it means that yam peels were used in its preparation. So do not use yam peels, or if you’re buying the flour, ask for undiluted elubo
I have a question, i recently made amala with the elubo i just got and turned out really bitter😖, is there another flour i can mix it with to reduce the bitterness. Please help a sister out😢
Yes, you can mix with quality Elubo, that will reduce the bitterness. Or mix with white elubo (lafun). It is possible that the elubo you got is fake (by fake I mean the type made with yam peels instead of yam itself) and that’s why it’s bitter.
Next time, try getting your elubo from a trusted supplier or simply buy your gbodo yourself and blend. That’s high quality with no nonsense added, you’ll be saving a lot of money and you get to eat good food.
I'm a male, i tried this method and turned out awful. A friend told me i was not supposed to mix the elubò with cold water. Hence why it was soft but had no good taste and did not mix properly.
So sorry about your experience. It does work when you mix with cold water, that’s what I did in the video. I hope you didn’t use too much water, because that can affect your result. Be sure that the cold water is small to achieve a thick dough.
Also worthy of note is that your elubo has to be authentic gbodo with no yamayama added. The adulterated ones usually will require more flour to form your desired thickness
@@abdulsalamadekunle6641 you’re welcome. I hope you try it again and get a good result. I have another method right on this channel in case you want to look at it.

People who use the first method are experts. It takes giving sacrifice to awon mama mii osoromonga to make amala without lumps :D

Can I use this method for a party?
I’m not sure you’ll be able to handle that quantity
Is there another way of retaining the moisture for the Amala instead of wrapping it toxic plastic?
You can use a cling film
@@remremdfoodie What kind? because I dont like nylon on my food
@@theboss1220 the type that comes in a roll just like foil wrap. It’s sold in both open and supermarkets
@@remremdfoodie Ok, thanks

Where online can i buy this?
You can check Jumia or other sites where they sell foodstuff
I assume you’re talking about yam flour.
You can also check Instagram, there are a lot of vendors who sell it.
Please how can you prevent bitterness in amala

Whay is young flour?
Flour made from a tuber crop we call yam. It’s common in African

@@remremdfoodie but the water I use was too much, my sister made laughter out of it that it look like cold pap
I applied the same method but it didn't work. What could be the problem?😡😡😡
Sorry about that. Are you sure the water wasn’t too much?
Mine came out smooth but very BITTER
That must be as a result of the yam flour you used. The method can’t make your amala bitter
Please don't do this, stomach ache
