this helps a lot... from beatmaking to recording artists i have to think about how they count bars and it helps when im making a beat now too. ive always known how to count but the difference in double time has had me kind of confused for some reason idk.
The way I see it is lower tempos are too claustrophobic. The clap/snare (whichever you put on 3 and 7) just doesn't look right. Like how am I supposed to fit kicks in between there?
or you can just change time signature to avoid all headache with bars, sync plugin... not accurate, i don't understand why so many fl users use double tempo
Two years late but thank you for this, cuz I was high key confused
here to polish my craft 😌👨🏾💻
The fact you don’t have more views I find misfortune. You are amazing.
Thanks for the info man, was confused about this for a minute.
Thanks for answering questions$
very clear and no bs, thank you!
For some reason I never see your stories and been following you for a min
I like how it explained
For this example the kick and snare are half time/half-note resolution, hihat is at the session/song BPM at quarter note resolution.

You are probably using too many kick hits, sometimes less is more
Grate Tips i wana try .
I liked how clear was the explanation. About the Mandalorian main theme, would you say it's an 83 bpm, ur 166 bpm song?
But how can you TELL whether a song is in double time or not?
So would you have to export this to use it in an 80bpm track?
CAN i USE THIS METHODE IN PRO TOOLS
Thanks

How to make a calypso type beat?
I think I'll extend that S.
It's easier to make downbeat percussion in slower bpm imo and it seems so stale and rigid in double time compared to half
What is downbeat percussion?

beatsssssssssssssss, what are you, a snake?
Sorry, I've unliked your video as I don't think we need more producers :P Joking ofc, you've actually helped me get this double time thing straight.
4 times half time I guess
I feel like lower bpm is much better because it limits you from doing too much and your beats sound more clean
I agree, it makes things more simple
