I expected the bleaching to be way worse. Can't wait to get my application done. We have had ongoing rain though (I'm north of you, in British Colombia). Just keeps pouring here.

Tenacity bleaching the weeds is more like it. No need to over seed , plenty of good grass amongst all the weeds.

I use tenacity at least 3 times if not 4times a year. Once start of spring, another application during seeding if needed, and fall before overseed and fall during overseed! Overseeding i use starter fertilizer but I use a variety of fertilizers throughout the year 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾

its not burnt lol. mesotrione will whiten at higher rates especially with tall fescue and rye grasses. the label tells you so. this whitening will go away. It will also slow the growth of your lawn like a PGR.

Haha Ricky Bobby! Thank you it’s gonna be fun this season! Still contemplating grass type I am leaning towards turf type perennial rye or a turf tall fescue….. there’s so many choices to add to the salad bar!!! 😂 I think the little front square I’ll test out with some sand… doing the research sand is a ton of work and maintenance but we like the work and maintenance 😂🙏🏾🤙🏾
Do you feel like the tenacity gets rid of of those thicker grassy weeds? Or do they turn them white, stunt them a bit then eventually come back?
Def keeps them at bay, I havn't had to dig any grassy weed out yet it eventually just dies, then we hit it again with more tenacity and they just keep dying... it's just the cycle of our hobby 😂😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾

Yardbrah I'm planning on dethatching my lawn in the next couple days. I wanted to apply some Tenacity as well. I'm in idaho and the weather is still all over the place. Do you think i should hold of on the Tenacity now that we are entering the summer months?
The thing about tenacity is it’s gonna bleach your lawn for 6 weeks so there goes your summer you know… I’d hold off until fall trust me I want to use tenacity right now too 😂 dethatch and put down a layer of seed and compost to topdress should hold up nicely in the summer months! 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

I noticed some of the wider blades were especially bleached. Was that poa triv or clumping fescue?
Poa was def bleached… the wider blades are nutsedge and seem to be tame in the front the back is horrible since I didn’t use tenacity back there I used the round upz the fescues I have are still nice and green they didn’t get bleached 🙏🏾🤙🏾😊
You will be very happy with the checkmate striper BTW. Does a great job. Took my lawn to the next level. Installing the unit is a joy in itself, the thing is so nicely built.

When Can I water the lawn after spraying Tenacity to kill weeds
I would let it sit at least 6 hours if you can when I overseed I’ll spray then when I’m done about 2-3 hours later I’ll water and have always had great results! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🙌🏾

I let tenacity do it’s thing for at least a week it’s a process and I hate the bleaching 😩😂😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
It’s important that you don’t get tenacity on your reproductive organs. Wash your hands after applying.

Should be bleached out in a couple more days. Takes about 2 weeks and you will see it

Ego I just can’t do because of their batteries. They don’t last. I use Dewalt and has been super reliable still have the same battery 6 years strong
