I was recently fortunate enough to find myself spending a bit of time in Amboseli National Park in Kenya. The Savannah plains birdsong at sunrise was such a calming sound to wake up to, I knew I had to find an opportunity to make a recording here. This stunning savannah landscape lies in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro which is in the neighbouring country of Tanzania. This is the tallest Mountain in Africa, so high that snow blankets the mountain peaks even during peak summer in Africa. You can see shots of the mountain in the last half of the recording. There are also a few appearances from local wildlife including antelope and zebra (although they were so timid they didn't hang around for very long). The African birdsong at dawn is an incredible sound as many different species of birds sing their morning dawn chorus. The sounds are incredibly relaxing and can be used for meditation, sleep and relaxation. I hope you enjoy :)

That dim African mourning dove sound is exactly the kind of background sound I need when studying.

Hello, my friend. I did visit your channel for a while and I'm just blown away by your new content. This video is superb. Awesome sound recording. I love those sunrise views and clouds moving below the mountain peak. Love those layers, framing, and DOF in this video. And of course beautiful African nature:) Those shots with animals staring at you are so cool. Were they filmed from the car? Or can you walk on foot at places like this? Really enjoyed little moments like at 24:02 :):):) Awesome stuff. ✨👍💛

Thank you so much for your kind words. I've been so fortunate to be traveling a bit around Africa for the past 6 months so it has given me the opportunity to make some new soundscapes in completely different environments to places I have recorded in up to this trip.
Yep, the shots of the animals was a bit of luck really as they are quite timid and generally keep their distance from people. I was on foot while making this recording but had a car close by for safety. There are elephants and even lions in this area so you have to be careful and respectful of the wildlife.

@@AmbientVagabond That sounds like a great adventure and an awesome experience. Yes, that's what I was thinking. Lions, elephants... But it's good that you can get out of the car. I can see that this new environment was inspiring for you. Looking forward to see and hear more from this trip.

@@TinyDetail Yea its been amazing to explore new environments and make some new recordings along the way. I have been working in my real life also so unfortunately this is the last recording I made from my 6 month stint in Africa but I will be back in the future and already have a lot of plans for new content.

@@AmbientVagabond Haha. Good to hear that you have real life too:) I can relate;) I will have to catch up with your previous videos. This is the first one that I watched from South Africa. So I'll just have to go back. Take care mate.
