- The bill, sponsored by Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member representing Ideato North and Ideato South federal constituency, proposes carving out a new state from parts of Anambra, Imo, and Abia states, as outlined in the draft bill. Notably, the Southeast geopolitical zone, comprising only five states, contrasts with other zones in the country, most of which have six states, with the Northwest having seven.
The Ogbako Ohaji People's Forum, representing Ohaji district, vehemently opposes inclusion in the proposed new Orlu state, despite their overall support for the concept of an Orlu state.
This proposal raises significant considerations regarding its potential benefits and drawbacks.

Adada state has what it takes to become a state no doubt but if they have anioma fine we need to find our igbo brothers who were missing am not in support of orlu state
Am from Nsukka, Igbo-Eze south to be precise, in as much as i prefer ADADA STATE to be created as Nsukka man, but our brothers that is in Anioma which is known as Delta Igbos, want to be fully part us, so i go for Anioma, then if more that one are to be created in south -East, Anioma and ADADA STATE are more balance because there are a lot of igbo in kogi and Benue state, infact my community is a 5 minute drive with bike to akpanya in Kogi state and almost half of the igalamela/ odolu LGA of kogi state speaks Nsukka dialet of igbo language. So it is also in benue state too.

I'm from Anambra but prefer the ADADA STATE, these are the people who believe they're 100% igbos in the South East, Anioma is ok, but they're going to remain South South, imagine Asaba which is a 10 minute walk from Onitsha claims that they're not southeast. The subject is creating a state in the present southeast not south South. You guys should get the logic. They are claiming igbos now it's just because of some political benefits.

My friend hold your fear, even if it is called Anioma majority of the local government will constitute the state will be people from the southeast. So there is no chance the new state will cede to south south.

You don't propose a state within the south east
The idea should be in bringing back Igbo land outside the south east
Like the anioma's and igbanke in delta and Edo and creat a state
The Igbos in bayelsa , Rivers State, akwaibom , cross river, Benue and kogi
