As an American with both IGBO parents, I cannot and will never wear a yoruba, hausas or fulanis outfits. I have two hausas/fulanis classmates at high school (Kings College, Lagos). These guys are now top leaders in Nigeria now. Even though they both barely passed the WAEC exams. What a shame! They has always visited me in the United States. They bring me their outfits. There is nothing like Northern gang up on anyone. Only Igbos buy such crap. Same way they bought into the charade called southern governors forum. When Yorubas want to display a countervailing posture to their Northern partners, they would wheel out some naive Igbo fellows and start singing "southern" this , southern that. But behind the scene, they plot how to partner with the North and exclude Igbos from central governance and infrastructural development. We don’t play politics well as Ndi Igbo, we rely solely on complaints and lamentations when planning, strategy and collaboration should have been the focus points. Don’t be surprised that some of the south east and south south governors voted for him to lead.

If this is not an insult to Ibos, tell me what is. The foreign loans are used to build modern standard gauge railways and modern airport terminals in Western and Northern Nigeria. When they are done, they do the same in Niger republic while completely excluding Iboland. And yet, Ibos are expected to be part of the loan repayment. So what are Ibo "governors" doing about it? F**kall of course, except dress up in gaudy clownish costumes as members of "governors forum". What amazes me is the complete apathy of Ibo youths, students, civil society organisations on this matter. I am not talking about "senators" and all the other clowns jostling for residential quarters and foreign SUVs in the Fulani imperial capital of Abuja. A grand coalition of Ibo citizens and activists must collectively and unambiguously repudiate all loans that is of no benefit to Ibo people. The lenders must be made aware that unless the loans are used in ways beneficial to all regions, then the excluded region will not be part of any loan repayment plan. That means that foreign lenders must include in their eligibility criteria, a requirement that loaned money must be used equitably or risk default.
