  • What’s happening in this “The Professional” movie clip?
    When Mathilda returns with the groceries she was sent to buy and notices the carnage, she calmly continues down the hallway past the open door of her family's apartment, and receives sanctuary from a reluctant Léon. One of the agents looks at Mathilda, quizzingly, as she has to insistently ring the bell on and on before Léon lets her in. Stansfield realises that there's a little girl missing because of a family photograph he's found.

    What’s the “The Professional” movie about?
    Mathilda (Natalie Portman from Black Swan and Annihilation), a twelve-year old New York girl, is living an undesirable life among her half-family. Her father stores drugs for two-faced cop Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman from Harry Potter and The Dark Knight). Only her little brother keeps Mathilda from breaking apart. One day, Stansfield and his team take cruel revenge on her father for stretching the drugs a little, thus killing the whole family. Only Mathilda, who was out shopping, survives by finding shelter in Léon's (Jean Reno from Godzilla and The Big Blue) apartment in the moment of highest need. Soon, she finds out about the strange neighbour's unusual profession - killing - and desperately seeks his help in taking revenge for her little brother. Léon, who is completely inexperienced in fatherly tasks, and in friendships, does his best to keep Mathilda out of trouble - unsuccessfully. Now, the conflict between a killer, who slowly discovers his abilities to live, to feel, to love and a corrupt police officer, who does anything in his might to get rid of an eye witness, arises to unmeasurable proportions - all for the sake of a little twelve-year old girl, who has nearly nothing to lose.

    Fun fact, they interviewed a real hitman once and asked what's the most accurate depiction of a hitman in a movie. He said, Leon in the professional. Movies always show these fancy well dressed hitmen in suits driving exotic supercars. Most of the time it's just a regular guy living alone barely making ends meet.

      @@fairiejuana yah, in the hood, theres no money to investigate multiple murders, so typically they only get charged with one, but get the life sentence...the news states it everytime, for the past 50 years in LA....
      Now, people in the mafia, have money, so the cops investigate, because of the amounts of money involved, people are in the hood, because they are poor, this means, the cops, will find a guy in a gang, and charge him with one murder, and his lawyer is so low, that the cops can use one charge to put him away for life, ok?...
      Sigh, so, people in the mafia, have professional lawyers, k...
      This means these lawyers, can get charges dropped easily, this means the cops must investigate incredibly thoroughly to prosecute...
      Some piece of shit from the hood kills some one, its open and shut case and life sentence, whether you killed 1 or 10...
      Cops dont have time or money to waste on hood gangs...simple math and simple as asking a cop.
      Just ask why anyone in the hood is shot and given life sentence, because there is no.money.
      Hood people never see millions of dollars, if they ever do, the mafia is there to take it, if not them, the cops,
      Every piece of money printed since 1995, has a chip in it for tracking, anyone in the hood dumb enough to walk around with money, is tracked by the cops, sigh poor people are so dumb, so if a some hood rat goes from house to house, and is picking up money, then the cops can see that and track him...
      Just people in the hood, never shut up long enough to learn about the real world, so they end up being victims of not educating themselves, could you imagine if people in hood had even knew one small thing about how the government keeps them all monitored and in the hood like livestock. They let you guys kill each other...they let that guy in a gang In the hood kill, because it's easier to get rid of them.like that...

    • @humorpalanta
      @humorpalanta 3 ปีที่แล้ว +264

      Actually she had nothing to do with his death. Even by going to the police it wasn't Matilda. It was the job Leon did on the gang where the police guys were doing business and were also killed. That is when the lead police officer heard that someone saw an italian guy committing it. That is when the police leader visited Leon's boss who then gave him out to them.

    • @humorpalanta
      @humorpalanta 3 ปีที่แล้ว +91

      @TheShqipe98 Dude. You should watch the movie again. Leon died because of the raid he did on the chinese gang. There were the drug dealer cops at that time and they also died. That is when the cop gets angry. Because his men died. When Matilda tried to attack him he actually told her he didn't give a shit as he has many enemies. But the hit that Leon did on the chinese and the drug dealing cops made him angry and as someone heard or saw an italian guy he immediately went to Leon's boss. He enters when the boss' daughter has his birthday. They beat him up off screen and he gives out Leon and his adress. Then they start the invasion.

      I sometimes wonder how they could have given this a happier ending. Leon has done a lot of bad things, but his code of 'no women, no children' and almost monastic lifestyle makes him a more likeable character. Most movies like this sacrifice the hero/antihero unless they are the redeemable rogue type. Jason Statham's movies are examples of where the violent protagonist lives. But had Leon lived, what would they have done? Would he take on the role of guardian and father figure? I feel that his naivete about life outside of killing would have made this problematic. But admittedly he would have been a better father than Matilda's. I still wonder.

Accountability is reserved for those defined as "the other" when they do wrong even if it is on a far lesser scale.
