    Guess that answers the question of can it be flown the whole flight on safe...not just takeoff. Great Video !

      @user-iv7us4gp4l Hey, question! 👍🏼 Yes, it can be flown with SAFE on or off at any time or for the whole flight!
      Just make sure to adjust your bank angle in Forward Programming Settings to around 60 so you can get turned around in less than a mile! 😃👍🏼

      @@HappyRCFlyer - Wait...What...you mean the receiver is "unlocked" I can use the forward programming in the NX7 to change bank angle ? NICE :>)

      @user-iv7us4gp4l ; Yes, 👍🏼you should be able to make those adjustments without issues, from your Transmitter! 😃 How cool is that?!

      Haha.. 😁 And it sounds and looks way cooler in-person! Nothing quite like sewing an RC plane zip by at over 100mph.. it never gets old! 😃

    This thing is a beast. I've seen one in action.

      Yeah, it's fun! Life is too short to always fly slow planes! 😁

    That's how fast my FMS 70mm Yak-130 flies!

    • @HappyRCFlyer
      @HappyRCFlyer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really?😯 I knew the Yak-130 looked fast but I didn't know exactly how fast!🫢 That's even fast for most EDF! My E-flite 70mm F16 would only hit 116mph on a good day.
      Have you noticed the 100+ whistle? 😃

    I’m so glad I’ve found your video. I’ve had nothing but headache trying to place the Spektrum G2 2200mah 4S 30C battery in the fuselage. If flat down with the label up, then the fuselage bulges out which isn’t ideal for the speed it can reach. If sideways then the canopy doesn’t shut. In both cases, the canopy doesn’t shut. But I’ve just watched your guidance and I’ve just trimmed my canopy accordingly and now it fits perfectly! Unsure why HH/E-Flite haven’t modified the plane to accommodate the batteries they recommend. The V900 has been re-released twice now and all they did was change the receiver. Thank you!!
    Edit: also, I reprogrammed the ESC to activate the motor brake which helps to slow the speed down when not engaging throttle. Still yet to maiden mine though!

      Hey, glad to be a help to a fellow enthusiasts! 😃 I hope you consider Subscribing if you haven't already, I do have plans for more V900 and other speed plane videos this summer! 👍
      😕 Yeah, it's a real shame they didn't at least add a note bulletin to the manual or something. I scratched my head for a bit before I realized it would clearly need surgery! 😄
      🤔 Maybe they should include a free pocket knife with purchase of 4s 2200 pack! 😅
      You'll love it once you start flying it! 🤩
      In the videos I tend to almost let it pull out if my hand but until you get the hang of it... I think it's better to have a second person to give it a good running throw 🏃 so it doesn't have any trouble getting the airspeed for better handle right at you take off.
      With more practice later, other ways of launching are easy when you know a little more about what to expect. 🙂
      😃 Thanks again for stopping by the channel and I let me know how you like it when you get a chance to fly yours! 👍

      @@HappyRCFlyer thanks for your quick response. Yes, just hit subscribe now :)
      I just used an exacto knife to cut the canopy and now it sits perfectly. Thank you again.
      Thanks also for your tips. This isn’t my first high speed plane. I have the E-Flite Rare Bear too which at its release (many years ago) was E-Flite’s fastest prop plane. I never mastered hand launching so always had someone throw it for me. There’s much better throwing grip on the V900 so I’ll give it a go myself eventually. Either way, hand launching on SAFE is a must as it’s better to get the auto correct on torque roll. I can switch onto AS3X once properly airborne.

    I have no problems using a 3 cell lipo in my V900 and it flys great.I changed the prop to an APC 9-6E prop.It flys like a sport/pattern plane.I love this plane,it's always in my car and ready to go.

  • @stevendegiorgio3143

    Also,I only use SAFE on hand launch and than turn it off for the remainder of the flight,I also want to mention I get 5 minute flights at half throttle which is plenty for my style of flying.

    Does safe counter the torque roll itself or do you need to do it yourself?

    • @HappyRCFlyer
      @HappyRCFlyer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @zuidkb7312 Hey, Great question! 👍🏼
      It's a yes and no answer! I hope you'll consider Subscribing if you haven't already! 😃
      -On Takeoff-
      It's important to give it a good hand lunch, because if it doesn't have enough air speed on takeoff, it can/will roll &/or pitch bad and without the air-speed SAFE can offer no help!
      -In Normal Flight-
      When the plane is flying at speed I don't notice much torque because SAFE keeps it level with the horizon. I think the big issue with Torque Roll or Torque Turn is mostly on takeoffs/hand launch. Same with the V1200.
      *Future Videos coming on the V1200 as well.* 🙂
      Anyways, hope that makes sense?

      @zuidkb7312 Thanks for the Sub and kind words! Welcome to the team!
      I will say that I've always been happy with my v900! 👍🏼
      Although I have another plane that I like as well which is a running competitor to the v900 and I hope to do a video on it soon after a couple more mods. 🤔
      So if you are on the fence about the v900.. this second plane might be an option to consider as well! 😁
      (Ps, RC is like a shoe shop, just when you decide what you want... than you see more options! Lol)😄
