A few weeks ago I shared the blouse I made using the Friday Pattern Company Saturday Skirt Set and today I'm showing you the skirt. You can find the skirt and the pattern on our website (links below)
This was a super quick, fun, easy sew and it is equally as easy to wear. I made a size medium with no adjustments - the elasticated waistband at the back makes it really easy to fit - and sewed it up in an afternoon.
I used our on trend animal print ex designer viscose fabric and I know this skirt will see me through the seasons. I'm wearing it all the time now with a vest top and sandals and then I can layer it up with a jumper, tights and boots for winter.
I love the cut of the skirt, a gentle A-line midi length, and have had so many compliments whenever I wear it.

Lovely skirt and I am so tempted! I have been sewing for a little while now and slowly getting more adventurous with my makes. I pick a day when I trace out the patterns I want to make and then a day to choose fabric and cut out. Its so satisfying 😁

I find bias cut skirts tend to cling in all the unwanted places 😆 lovely skirt x

I feel exactly the same about the bias skirts and dresses out there right now -- lovely, but on other figures (not so much mine! :-)

I am with you in the bias cut skirts, they are not for my shape at all, I have very thin legs, no hips so it makes me look like an icecream cone with 5 scoops haha

Hi Lucy. Love your skirt. Can you recommend a skirt only pattern with a flat front like this one? Not bothered about pockets. I'd never make the top of this set so don't want to pay out for this particular pattern. Thanks

I'm the same as you regarding pockets, sometimes they feel like a bit of a faff and I always regret not added them 😞 Like that style of skirt and it looks really good in animal print
