Great video! I have a suggestion for your channel. Label the video based on the item/technique you are sewing in the title. Or maybe post the video with a picture of the finished product. (That’s what made me click on this video-I saw your fabulous work!) IMO, as a viewer, if I don’t have an idea of what you are making, I’m less likely to be tempted to view your videos. ❤ Best wishes!
Recently I had to do alterations on a two piece wedding gown and the skirt puzzled me it had no top stitching anywhere. All the seams were like you showed in this video. The skirt was simple , waist band, zipper, gathered circle skirt only one vertical seam ending on the zipper, lining was the same. I managed to do the alterations (making the waistband bigger) but I had to restitch the seam by hand. Could you do a video of a skirt like this with no topstitching yet all the seams machine stitched? Thanks
Es un estupendo e impecable trabajo muy bien mostrado,y para dar conocimiento el hacer las cosas perfectas, gracias y sigue mostrándonos tus trabajos ,me encantan ,
I have been sewing clothes since 1955 and NEVER thought to notch seams like this! Seriously, I clipped one side and then the other over and over and over again! LOL! This has been a great reminder of how to put things together again!
This was very professional. Both as a seamstress and as a video maker. I want to get back to sewing for myself (I was skilled in my youth). So now I watch a lot of videos on the topic. Too many of them are either boringly long with lots of redundant talks and explanations nobody needs, or too speedy, in format of shorts. Thank you, keep your work going. Best wishes from Lithuania!
I'm almost speechless. Takes me right back to my mother's amazing sewing skills. Thank you for such a clear demonstration, showing us such fine work can be achieved by anyone.
I’ve made a bodice using instructions from a pattern and it was so hard. This is genius! I would have never thought to turn the shoulder edges inside out and then sew them together. Also, pinching the fabric together to cut the triangles around the curves?!? That’s a game changer for me. Thanks so much.
Спасибо , что поделились с нами интересным уроком ! Очень четко ,чисто, профессионально ! Такие тонкие хитрости нам всем пригодятся для красивого шитья ❣
Excellent sewing video. You make sewing bodices make sense! Written patterns can be so hard to figure out without a demo like this. Well produced video. I look forward to more like this.
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Sewing bodices can definitely be tricky, but I'm here to make it easier for everyone. Stay tuned for more tutorials ❤️
Loved it! I paid a lot to Nancy’s notions for these videos a long time ago. Today, when I do not feel like sewing any more I see them on YT, still love to watch them.
She completes the entire vest beautifully, except for the bottom edge. In my experience, this is the most difficult seam to get even, because you need to leave an opening for turning, and it's hard to stitch it closed without its being obvious. I was taught to construct the entire vest, leaving the opening for turning in the lining of one side seam. No matter how you close that final opening, it won't show, because it's completely on the inside of the vest.
I'm glad you found the tips clear and helpful! Simple advice can make a big difference. ❤️ There is a new video on my channel now. I think you will like it too: 👉 th-cam.com/video/qMl6cjwcYGA/w-d-xo.html

I thought the same ….incomplete…..but it maybe a bodice for a dress ….not a vest.
