1:35:58 Call it "Covering Fire" Character retreats back three positions, providing two block for the character in position one, one block for position two and a strength token for themselves. I'm sure the number/type of tokens provided will need to be adjusted to bring it in line with Breacher.
The reason all the Academic's Studies look identical is that they're all the same Academic's Study. Chris mentioned it in one interview - the one with Miskatonic, iirc. There was a lot of interesting lore tidbits in that interview. The Study was originally in the Tangle, I think? But with space being distorted due to the Mountain's influence, it started popping up in all sorts of places. EDIT: 1:51:00 Two things about that: 1. There's no difference between a shuffle and a move. Both make a check an can be resisted normally. 2. Just checked, and the self-move from Coward is indeed irresistible, so the drums were a waste of resources there. EDIT 2: Congrats on the victory. You did well, despite the truly prodigious amount of misplays - the stress was clearly getting to you towards the end. Good luck with the rest of the acts!
4 tries? wew, the stress was real and that celebration at the end! This beacon is really brutal and like you are required to have all 5-memoried heroes to make it more fair
A very offensive team indeed. 0:13 Selfish Motivation actually reduces DPS because of the blind tokens. 13:54 Invigorating Intoxicant is not really as good as it seems. Sometimes, you don't want the hero on Death's Door to go early. Occ might have been better off with the chalk. 21:41 Exactly! 23:23 Foot Soldier: "Uh-huh" Side note: btay calling TH-cam viewers 'suckers' is an excellent way to convert them to Twitch viewers. 👍
Invigorating is there to slightly negate the -3 speed from deaths door as is just as bad if your opponent rolls before your hero anyways. You still Rolling a D6 dice for speed + hero speed
@@themobiusquadron A healing item would also negate the -3 speed with the additional effect of clearing the deaths door. The hero on deaths door can only benefit from moving early if they have no DOT and: - can heal themselves - can land the finishing blow - can stun / blind an enemy However, the cons are of moving early: - they could die to DOT before they are healed Invigorating grants extra crit and dbr so the hero is expected to attack when the effect is applied but there are very few situations in which that's a good play.
@@themobiusquadron Also, to use Invigorating properly, you'll need to use the item pre-emptively - give it to a hero you expect to reach deaths door at the end of the round. Otherwise, the speed buff does not take effect in the next round. There are very few situations in which that's the best play. The player might be better off avoiding the deaths door condition instead.
@@gnerkus Deathsdoor is always a gamble at least getting an extra DBR 25% is always good. If you at 65% then at least it goes up to 90%, if you survive then pass heal or at least survive the blow to try a skill heal or item heal. Is still good. I personally would prefer 1 death armor but thats just me when mods are allowed.
Even with coward (act 2 hates you by the way) I hate act 2 its my least favorite took me so many tries to beat it. 3-5? first try on all of them. Followed on twitch try to catch you live next time ggwp, You also got the dodge tokens on the man of arms from your positive Quirk.

I wish bounty hunter was just a normal character. His usefulness is quite niche
He will be in kingdoms!
I am so used to Corpse Light and the Killers Flame that I always flinch a little when you kill a mob just like that
It took me a while to get over those ones haha
A new day, new run

I probably should have gotten some memories lol
