Thanks for making this video man. I just replaced my own plugs and coils an saved over $1500 from what local shops were charging. FCP Euro is the best!
That’s nothing I have 252k miles and these motors lasts lifetime if proper maintenance done a lot of people in the e46 m3 community have well over 350k+ miles even seen 500k
Very easy job indeed. Great blowing out the debris around the spark plugs. On my old car the plastic tube around the ignition coil wires was so old and cracked that there were plastic bits everywhere, so a bit of compressed air goes a long way. Well, all good except that I really wanted to hear that engine running. That was not nice, not to start it.

Did you have to gap the spark plugs?
@@509ryan They usually come pre-gapped these days, but doesn't hurt to check the gap and adjust as necessary.
@@MeeMoo220 cheers, just finished the job few hours ago. No more misfire 👌
@@509ryan nice man. Congrats! My alternator died on my celebratory drive afterwards. Hopefully you have better luck. Haha.

Thank you for wrenching with us; cheers!
Thanks for this! More S54 content please! Valve lash adjustment, perhaps? 🙏
Lol I just did mine yesterday and without pulling out the Cabin air filter at all…just used shorter flex extensions and was able to get it done.
Subscribed because of the e46 m3 content 🤝
More to come!
Great video. I’m changing plugs on my 2008 Z4M and will follow along with this video.
Love to hear it, thank you for wrenching with us!

I liked the time lapse bits vs watching removing bolts/nuts click by click of a ratchet..
NFS Most Wanted lol E46 M3 Let's Gooo, Mike!!!
Please do a video on replacing spark plugs and ignition coils on the 2.0 supercharged and turbocharged four cylinder engine on the 2017 VOLVO XC60
Did u torque the 6 10 mm beauty cover bolt down to spec?
Good details
Xcellent job
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome details on these DIY's! When will the valve adjustment for E46 M3 video be coming?
Working on it!
Great video. Thank you
Thank !!! so detailed !!
I noticed my ignition coils come as screwed. And the mechanism is far different. Are they interchangeable?
How long does the job take?
Did you mean 16mm 12 point socket? You said 16 point 12 mm socket.
Or 2000 dollars for a W212 replacement. Labor and dealerships are fun.
For 16mm sparks it is 32nm
Hey guys! I’m putting in a request for all the b9 S4/s5/SQ5 content please! We need it!
