My husband and I own half of the small farm where we live and have in-law quarters. My daughter Judi just came back here to borrow some chili powder. She's also a singer and musician and LOVES Dan. Yesterday we were already discussing the details of this song, so I told her how you were reacting and she lit up like a light bulb. She says the only thing she wishes Dan had done a little differently is wait maybe just two more seconds before getting to the end. She thinks it would have a better “surprising effect.” I agree.
When we were listening to the video together yesterday (for the umpteenth time), surrounded by five of the eight children, the 14 year old boy (who sings divinely) started to sing along, and also hit that E6. I hope that as his adolescence progresses, he can still achieve great falsetto tones, even if he reaches a low tenor, because when he sang that note with Dan yesterday, Judi and I applauded him. Knowing that he listens to them naturally and then launches into them effortlessly is fantastic! Go, Isaiah!

Meu marido e eu possuímos metade da pequena fazenda onde moramos e temos alojamentos para os sogros. Minha filha Judi acabou de voltar aqui para pegar um pouco de pimenta em pó emprestada. Ela também é cantora e musicista e AMA Dan. Ontem já estávamos discutindo os detalhes dessa música, então contei a ela como você estava reagindo e ela se iluminou como uma lâmpada. Ela diz que a única coisa que gostaria que Dan tivesse feito de forma um pouco diferente é esperar talvez apenas mais dois segundos antes de chegar ao fim. Quando ontem estávamos ouvindo o vídeo juntos (pela enésima vez), rodeados de cinco das oito crianças, o garoto de 14 anos (que canta divinamente) começou a cantar junto, e também bateu aquele E6. Espero que à medida que sua adolescência avança, ele ainda consiga alcançar ótimos tons de falsete, mesmo que atinja um tenor baixo, porque quando ele cantou aquela nota com Dan ontem, Judi e eu o aplaudimos. Saber que ele os ouve com naturalidade e depois se lança neles sem esforço é fantástico! Vá, Isaías!

I love the new energy of this song and it is clear that Dan is having a lot if fun with it. At the end of the guitar solo, Dan’s smile is shown in the upper right corner just before he attacks the microphone for the last verse. That smile is pure joy. That is another reason Dan is special. He absolutery loves sining with full energy.

Great reaction. I loved the energy speed and power. I also like Celei’s version. They are both excellent . It depends on whether one wants to feel gentle and sad or enjoy the feeling of racing exuberantly across a lush green field . Thanks to Dan, we can have either feeling to suit our mood. All of your reactions to Dan's songs have been great! Thank you. Did you hear the choir in the background? I am not sure if Dan has layered his voice again or if this is something else but it is pretty cool. ("Even my neighbor's dog knows this song!" LOL)
This time Dan used his computer to create the sound of the background choir. He put several teasers on “X” when he was working on the song and the choir background was included in one of them. I think he uses his keyboard in conjunction with the computer for the notes.
