My GOAT of the Electric Bass Guitar Anthony Jackson 🔥
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤❤️
When Music is TRULY ART!
C’est un véritable plaisir d’écouter cette belle mélodie
Anthony Jackson and the level of excellence he never sinks beneath. Thanks
I don't know of a better all round Electric Bass Player ever. Anthony Jackson has all bases covered!
@@BlackRootsAcademyOfSoul You had a perfect opportunity to say "all basses* covered" and you missed it :(
Heard the original in the 80s and was blown away. To hear Flora sing it is sublime let alone the band and playing.
Holy cow. What a session -- Gillespie, Jackson, Scofield and Puente alone could decimate an audience but this entire group together... oh man, forget it!!! Great video.
Great! A synthesis of styles that I appreciate. Jazz/bebop, latin/salsa and oriental music. An amalgam. Just like jazz itself was in the beginning, a century ago.
5:17 to 6:34 is just pure magic! I would gladly listen to a whole album of just that! Incredible feel, those triplets are so perfectly placed, paints such a vivid image in my mind! Beautiful. If you can’t tell my mind is well and truly blown!
Thank you +Rick Suchow. Giants in the jazz/latin world. The blend of sounds and textures in this piece are just beyond. This is a true gem. I can close my eyes and listen to this repeatedly. Hilton Ruiz-Piano; Jimmy McGriff-organ. I am late to the party but just in case anyone was curious, this is part containment of an album and full VHS performance called 'Rhythmstick'.
Tito Puente is the shizzz!!
This should be called dizzy and the legends
Thank You Rick, this is Precious

Rhythmstick is the name of the recording. Dizzy plays his Rhythmstick toward the end, made from hundreds of flattened & punched Coca-Cola bottle caps.
