I love using the debossed side on the front of my card. You still see the pattern, your panel lies even, and the inside of your card is so pretty.
Hi Cathy! Tuned in late and caught the replay. This embossing folder/die set is just the cutest, and I love the ombre effect of the ink blended sweater!! So happy that your new crafting space is making some of the technical aspects of your work easier. Having a less-than-perfect space for crafting, I really identified with the craft/dining room. Caught this on replay. You are so fun to watch and listen to, I thoroughly enjoy your chattiness and humor. I can relate with you about being uncomfortable calling it a studio (it is a studio by the way) as we had my brother in law build a built in book case in what I call the “front room”. My husband started calling it the “library”…LIBRARY! 🤦🏼♀️😬🤣. It’s like 8’x9’! Anyway, I nipped that word in the bud. It’s now either the front room or his office. I can’t even fathom saying “oh it’s in the library” 🤣🤣.

Great live, even in the replay. I hear you about the older home. Mine was built in 1890 (nope, that's not a typo). Always some sort of upkeep, but it keeps me busy. After 54+ years with my hubby, he suddenly passed towards the end of 2021. Since then my sister has moved in to keep me company...kids didn't want mom staying alone. Truth is they wanted someone to keep tabs on me. I attempt to do it all myself, usually know when to call uncle. I had an old pipe rust out and so I took down the pantry wall, ceiling and all the insulation. I did have a plumber replace the cast iron pipe and then I rebuilt the pantry. I love my craft tools and I love me some heavy duty tools too. Got my sister into crafting. We don't go out much either, grocery shopping is a big outing for us. LOL Long time subscriber here and hope to be back more often with things settling down a little now with winter approaching. Your new space sounds like it is going to be perfect for you. Can't wait for the tour.
Sending you love… so sorry for your loss. Our first home here in Minnesota was an ancient duplex built in the 1870s for rail workers. Lots of quirky things about that place.

I had so much enjoyment watching the replay of this. And I noticed as I was watching, all the other crafters that we watch on TH-cam such as Simon, Jennifer, Mindy, also tune in to watch. I love that everyone supports one another in this business. And that's the environment that I want to be in. I think everyone should become card makers...maybe the world would be a better place. I know, it will never happen. But in all honesty, I wasn't in the best of moods before watching and then I felt my mood lift as I watched. Cathy you are a joy to everyone! (And sending lots of healing hugs and prayers to you and your family)

Cathy, we are all so excited for how excited you are with your new space. I had to give up my craft area during the pandemic because I needed a place to work from home. Have been crafting in my very small dining area since then (kindred spirits!). Have not been able to relocate to a better spot and it's frustrating!
Yes, i'm lucky to have this office in general! it's been my office since 1999, so the space was pretty much claimed. lol

This is an amazing embossing folder. The sweater cables actually look like a real cable knit sweater. Cute card and thanks.
So on the paper-consider what the biggest size you use on regular basis. E.g. perhaps half size paper sheets might be a great size because you can fold cards for card bases, and cut it for card fronts. You can take reams of paper to a printer and have the cut down for cheap. With that, you would need to accommodate your reams when you buy paper in bulk, and the some kind of storage solution that holds half sheets. Wouldn’t take up much room. And then something to store cut up sizes for slim and mini slim since it’s on a much smaller scale.

You need to get yourself a harbor freight tool magnetic cup, to throw your dies in and keep track of them until you put them in storage. They have a couple sizes. I have one for orphan dies til I find out what set they belong to. I love your chatty mode, by the way! :)
I love your excitement over your new studio. Last year I was setting up my craft room after putting it off for many years--it was SO fun and IKEA was my best friend! My room turned out absolutely perfect and it's really pretty too. My problem is, I think I made it to pretty/inviting because now my whole family family wants to hang out in there! 😆 I hope you have many years of crafting fun in your new space.

I’m loving watching your studio come to life! I have the Stampin Storage Paper organizers and LOVE them! I also use the Avery Job Ticket holders that Jennifer McGuire recommended. My stamps are all in drawers. Do you have any in the room you could use? Prayers to Dan 🙏🏻. Losing a parent is hard.
Prayer for your father in law. I went through that hospice journey at the end of March with my mom. Congestive heart failure. I miss her so much. Bless you all on the journey. It’s not easy but God will make a way. 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
