Oh, Cathy, I just love you for how real your are! You make me feel like I’m not the isolated card maker who has issues with products or processes that no one else experiences. I laughed loudly as you struggled to remove the background from the sticky mat. So many others never show the reality of what actually happens and I used to think that meant I was doing something wrong. So, thank you!! Also, look what a die cutting/paper piecing card maker you are becoming! ❤️

You give me hope that I could get used to this die-cut, paper-pieced artform... I struggled to put together the most basic shapes in a balloon set from Spellbinders and I think I just need to watch more of your paper-piecing videos to build up my confidence. CZ, the primary source of my card-making inspo. 🤣 no pressure or anything!
(also, I see Alberto said in the live comments that he was watching while colouring... and it was relaxing. I watched about an hour yesterday while I was chopping ingredients and cooking. No knife injuries and yes, totally relaxing.)

I love having my dies on a magnetic sheet. The problem I’m starting to have is the weight of them together is getting too heavy and the shelf is starting to sag. 😮
I love using my scraps up too with my paper piecing dies. 😊
I also found them to get too heavy once I started to get a decent die collection. This last year I switched to putting them in little zip loc bags made for jewelry and then tuck them inside the storage pouch . Much less bulk, much less weight, way cheaper.

Paper piecing was a thing 20 years ago in scrapbooking. I used to use coloring books as patterns… oh, Annie Lang’s designs! No dies back then!

Cathy you just went from the kitchen to craft room and yet you still need more room, me too. Last ear I did bring all of my office supplies from my living room down stairs to my front porch upstairs. Much less space . Now I've got to use only one side for the porch area for my office n craft room.. out house is like a duplex with one house that sits on top of the other, and we now have kids that moved in with us. I am a pet groomer with hopes of retirement at the end of December.
Yeah, its a smaller space for sure but… i feel like it may help me to destash more, and get more focused on the things I actually have room for!
