- I figure I'd post this WIP and share some process with u guys since the finished animatic is taking a billion years HAHA... I've been working on it on/off after work, please enjoy watching this sad egg man for now

The rough animatic is mainly for planning out camera angles, timing, and character placements. Detailed drawings come in the 2nd pass so I don't distract myself from planning out the scenes (I get distracted and finicky very easily so this is how I work). After 2nd pass is done, I move onto the final animatic and cleanup my drawings. Currently I'm working on the 2nd pass for this one (:

My favourite moment is right after throwing away the mask at 2:37....is just too beautiful for me. That moment you see him with so much hope in his eyes, the pure joy of being free at last from all the pain he probably went through. The same bright eyes he had when he was a kid. For me right then and there, in that moment, my heart soared with him. That really moved me. Thank you.
Watching your animatics remind me that I do in fact want to be an animator. I waver a lot because I know that a few minutes is hours of work, but then I see something so pretty that I’m once again tempted to continue.
Don't give up, just take it step by step, those hours of work are worth it, as someone who loves to write I have similar issues, so much work for just a single page even and people read it in five minutes, but there is something amazing to actually seeing the result of your work coming together
Animation is just a matter of delayed gratification.

When I saw what the character singing actually looked like in the mirror, I thought it was Link from BOTW. You know- Pointed ears, wild hair, ponytail. His eyes also just felt like eyes Link would have. But, I mean, original character and original story is really freaking cool, too! And with a title like 'The Last Familiar...' I can't help but wonder what this is about! You've definitely intrigued me! Can't wait to see the final product.

Oh my goodness! I love this song! This animantic is amazing and does the song justice, and this is only a work in progress! It's genuinely amazing! If this is a WIP I know I'll be blown away with the finished product! I already feel all the emotions! I love the riding scene at the end, it's hopeful, fun and beautiful just like the feeling in the song!
