Hi Collin. I seldom post remarks on line, but I have to say how inspiring this episode was. I got the majority of my sailing skills from racing an International 5O5 one design dinghy I sailed it for more than fifty years. The boat was hand built by the previous and original owner. Built from aircraft grade ply in a double diagonal construction, finished like a piece of French furniture Now after fifty years plus some, I have to cut it up and burn it. Now I'm sailing a C&C 39 which has become my new love. But now I'm tuning 79 and have chronic mobility issues do to Type 2 diabetes and a leg that got paralyzed in a routine hip replacement that didn't end up being routine. This episode filled me with the resolve to never, never ever give up. It's plain to see you're a very empathic person, and have very good presentation skills and your world view is evident by this episode. I would like to make one constructive critique. I have noticed how many vloggers have fallen into the bad habit of turning their heads while narrating. To put it bluntly, it's a bad habit and not at all professional. You have so much going for you, I hope you will make the effort to stay focused on the lens when speaking to the camera, it will put you at an elevation way above the others. Smooth seas and good winds brother. PS, please pass along my best wishes and thanks to Craig for sharing his inspiring story..

Wonderful story! I became an amputee 2 1/2 years ago and thanks to another amputee who nudged me to continue my sailing passion, I have done so with the added bonus that we have made it our mission to teach other amputees how to sail. It is such an amazing feeling to know that one is empowering others to participate in this fabulous past time

Hi Colin, my wife and I watched this episode and were blown away, by the end of it I was choked up with tears but not due to feeling sorry for Craig, but mainly for admiration for what he has done and achieved, most people would see him as unlucky, Craig has a entirely different outlook, that makes him totally amazing. Looks like he has an amazing wife who is supportive but pushes him as well. Thank you for sharing this amazing person, your outlook is everything and he is the perfect example of this. Also Colin on a person note my wife commented on what a substantial impressive person you are, a genuine decent person with a great heart, quite refreshing compared to other youtube vloggers.. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Loved hearing his story. What an amazing man. Kudos to his parents too. It must have been hard watching their child go through that, and not knowing how to help, but the way they didn't let him wallow in grief, but supported him and found ways to inspire him is a testament to a parent's love for their kid.

That was absolutely stunning. A triple amputee and he sails! If what he went through to get where he is at right now, isnot inspirational. Then I think maybe you might not have a heart beat. Craig, I love your whole vibe, you have turned lemons into lemonade and actually made a few gallons. Way to go mate. I am going to follow you on your journey and I will watch every episode. Sail on brudda!!

  • @seanym67

Craig is helping simply by sharing his story. Good attitude is essential. I'm a left leg below knee amputee (motorcycle accident) and I remember thinking while I was in rehab next to the guy with no arms, that I had barely earned the price of admission to the amputee world. Craig's right though, we each have our own struggles and we have it no worse or better than others, just different.

Wow Craig is such an inspiration! Love this story! It has helped me so much to hear his attitude. I recently had my husband of 38 years walk out on our marriage. The last kid just left for college and now instead of retiring like my friends, traveling and enjoying grandkids, I am trying to find a new career to support myself. I was feeling so low and defeated. After listening to Craig it just makes so much sense. If you hate your job go get another one. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and just go find what you want to do. I just kept thinking I’m too old and too alone and too this and too that. Excuses! Look how inspirational both Craig and Collin are! This is a gift to so many!

Like his blind friend I after a blast lost almost all my vision. He is 100% right in not looking back and living in tears over things you can’t change. For many years I hid dealing with the blindness and pstd then one day I decided to live. Since then I sold everything off I owned in the US and moved to the Philippines. Found love and at 42yo finally had my first child. The moral is life is life no matter what challenge you have. Live it and smile, laugh and realize life is to short to dwell on the thing you can never change.

Thank you Colin. What a remarkable human being Craig is and such an inspiration to me. I have been a power-boater since the late 80's and never interested in sailing before. Ever since I have been watching Sailing Parlay Revival I have found a new form of happiness to someday maybe be able to go out and buy my own sailing boat and sail the world. The main thing that has held me back is that I too am an amputee (lower left leg) and thought there'd be no way I could do this. After seeing this episode and listening to Craig's story I now realize I have no excuses whatsoever anymore.
