I really appreciate the time and effort that went into this video! ❤️ I'm so glad I watched this before purchasing my camera because I would've gone for the G7X without knowing it didn't have all the features I was looking for. As someone looking to get into vlogging with no knowledge on cameras, I felt very intimidated when other videos threw a whole bunch of features at me without explaining what they were. You've explained so well! I really wanted a g7x but now I'm planning for m 50 just because of the external microphone issue. I wish it g7x mark 2 had an external microphone unit since it was easier to carry anywhere. I'm a new subscriber.

How did you get rid of the yellowish or golden hue that the M50 has? I love the coloring on the G7x Mark ll, but don't like the audio. Currently I own both cameras and I'm using the G7x Mark ll on my face while using the M50 for B-roll and for the audio with an external mic. I'd love to be able to change the warm color on the M50 to a cooler color for my skin. Can you offer any help? I'm using the kit lens that came with the M50. You've got gorgeous skin by the way.

Thank you!! and the M50 is actually very lightweight/small, especially if you have a "pancake" lens like my 22mm. If I'm too lazy to carry a camera, I usually will just take photos/videos on my iPhone lol

You cleared a lot of things up for me. I've recently purchased the Canon M50 and the canon SX740 (for zooming purposes). but I also want to get the Canon G7 Mk 2, as well as the Sony rx100 vii. I'm about to start a camera collection. This is a new hobby of mines so don't mind me. LoL. Quick question! Can you recommend a lens for the M50 for zooming capability? I need a lens with a spectacular zoom range. Please. Thank you again. & keep making more of these types of videos about cameras, lenses, accessories, and so forth.
A change of plan... I ended up buying a Panasonic Lumix g85. I really like it. Using the Rode video micro and also have a pop voice lavalier. I went with the Panasonic because I already had a Panasonic camera and was familiar with the system and it has everything I was looking for. Very happy with it! I was able to get it on a 5-month payment plan on Amazon, though I think that has ended for the moment and it is about $100 higher than what I paid just a few weeks ago! Thanks again!
I want a vlogging camera along with a camera I can use to take pictures. Pictures as in random things like date night with my husband, selfies, arrival of our baby, or going on a trip. I’m no professional. I just want something that’ll be better than my iPhone XR and that I can keep in my purse at all times because my camera on my phone sucks. I wanted the camera to be a all in one and something SMALL because eventually I wanted to start with TH-cam which is why I wanted it for the vlogging part. What do you think?
Thank you! I had the T3i before but ended up selling it. It was too bulky, too advanced, and pre- auto focus. I’m tempted to buy the M50, but I’m still really torn. If it wasn’t for the external mic ordeal I would certainly go with the G7X. I absolutely loveeee how the quality is in this video with the M50. What lighting are you using?

the m50 seems the way to go if youu want to do a little bit of vlogging n a little bit of sit down videos .. being that youu can interchange the lenses to fit your needs
