- Tenotomy is a minor procedure required in clubfoot correction.
In this video, Dr. Nargesh Agarwal describes How to check the results of Tenotomy in kids. How we would know, if we have done Tenotomy in a child's clubfoot then the tenotomy got any improvement or not? This means how would we know if the child is perfectly fine after the tenotomy surgery?
Tenotomy is a general small procedure that is just a cut in the tendon. A percutaneous Achilles tenotomy for clubfoot is a system that protracts the Achilles ligament and assists with further developing the adaptability of the lower leg.

Hi sir i'm from jandk my son is 1 month old he has congenital club foot in right foot we have started treatment after 1 week of birth 4 plaster are done my question is how many plaster are remaining now and unfortunately there is non availability of pediatric ortho is it ok to consult ortho doctor of adults
Yea you can start treatment from any ortho doctor
Usually 4/5 plasters are sufficient followed by tenotomy if required followed by braces

Hi sir, i am from kerala, my baby is 2.5 years and having ctev on right foot. He is wearing braces now and he is walking. No tenotomy is done. Doctor said that he does not need tenotomy. Now, the problem is that he is walking like having knock knees. Feels worried

Tenotomy is not required in all cases
Continue with brace protocol till five years of age
Knock knee at this age is normal and physiological so nothing to worry
