They are called saccades and eye flutter. Usually we have a ton of sudden precise movements we do with our eyes. I think these might be more smooth and choreographed than realistic. I don’t know if they were using eye tracking or not, but they might have used mo-cap for the body

я вообще не понимаю, что тут реального. если представить себе, что так ведёт себя реальный человек, то он либо наркоман, либо у него какие-то психические расстройства. и, кстати, это многое говорит об авторах этой модели

Around 18 years ago I worked on an 3d animated short. This type of scene composition and fidelity was a year long effort, not to mention rendering. Not to mention that UE being game engine has so much more control over characters and environment. This even changes scope of what motion capture can do.
This is an example of how professional level filmmaking tools normally reserved for studios, are suddenly just available to anyone, thanks to technological leap.
Being a creative mind in this day and age is a blessing.

Tech like UE5 represents the democratization of visual content creation. It frees our best creative minds from the barriers of money and allows even lone individuals with enough talent and ambition to realize their visions in ways that were impossible before. What a boon for society.

being creative is one thing. but being creative and skilled enough to even use this stuff is a whole other thing. A ton of these tools are not intuitive to every type of creative person. I've seen even the most genius minds of, say photoshop 3D Studio Max have an impossible time with Gimp and Blender because they had to dedicate so much effort to specific programs.
I'm waiting for the day when engineers learn how to design for artists because right now, 99.9% of them only know how to design for engineers. There are some promising tools out there that are cropping up, but it's still a steep curve. We're getting there though

    • @kbrodeur
      @kbrodeur 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

but at a certain point we're just using the legos that someone else leases us, we're no longer the actual creators. imagine this, soon we can render anything, create whatever you like, without actual skill really, and those with skill aren't really practicing as much anymore... it becomes a mod to a game basically. that's cool, but it's not novel creative art anymore per person.

That part might be due to being eye tracking from a irl human was used. Yes you can do that with an iPhone app to UE5 plug in. So to have even more accurate eye tracking for your character. I don't see much use for it outside of tech demos and maybe if VTubers ever stream out of design view of UE5 like they used to stream out of design view of Blender. Right now UE5 can do everything Blender can with the addition of an already built in game engine just the focus of the software is different. UE5 was designed from 10+ years ago to be a game engine while Blender from 30+ years ago was designed to be a 3D modeling engine. Now both do all the same things except for the game engine part that you have to add back into Blender as it caused to many bugs and no developer seemed to want to work on it in a way accepted by the maintainers of the project.

Yeah, it's really amazing, and I mean it. There's only a subtle uncanniness in the style and design choices for the face overall. I don't know what to call it other than the "Final Fantasy 3D waifu" look, where they try to make unrealistic anime character beauty hallmarks realistic. Small nose and mouth, big eyes, overall cuteness. Sometimes (like here) an optional dose of infantilization to lend an air of fragile helplessness. Western entertainment design also sees this, though most examples of infantilization are in stuffed toy design for kids (some features smaller, some bigger, overall sense of harmless helplessness like a baby, puppy, kitten, etc). (Original source: not me; articles over the years on various cultural ideals of cuteness)

The graphics is phenomenal although still animation appearing.
Although switching to brown hair on the model with the chance of lighting made skin look a little less animated but still animated. They are both phenomenal models that looks basically flawless except a few minor issues. I like the fact this still has a slight animation appearance to this. They made sure she looked good.
So get rid if man hands and man wrist.
I like both versions and want to see both in a game. As a skin change or as a twin with different hair.

@@thebudman1980It's interesting to see how much of the focus for the work shifts from simply the model and the physics into the animation and movement. It's weird seeing the difference between motion captured and hand animated movements, as what looks normal on a person is always kind of twitchy on a digital model. I'll be curious to see how that sort of thing changes over the next few years, see if there's a middle ground that gets established between the two work and results wise.

Is cloth simulated in realtime? That looks remarkably good. Is it custom-developed module, or are you using some third-party solution?

well my guess is its based on mesh and not really simulated realtime. byt i want to be wrong and use this tech realtime.

The problem is NOT to create 3D models, it is about motion/emotion capturing still not easy via webcams.

some parts of the cloth look stiff when the avatar moves, and some body parts look like "enlarged" instead of doing a normal muscle movement, but this is pretty good.

Unnatural. Waiting what CD Projekt will show as they moved to unreal and their characters in Cyberpunk was hyper natural

The world doesn't need "influencers" at all
It needs artists, scientists, debaters, educators -- Not influencers.

AI is developing and improving itself each day, getting closer and closer to human-like interactions, holograms, graphics and robotics are also advancing at a speed that has never been imagined before. BOYS.... it is finally TIME! VIRTUAL GFs you can interact via VR, even in the physical world (AI with robotic human-like bodies) is coming!

It looks good but the movement looks more robotic than fluid like a real person though it is really good. The specs to run something like this let alone as a game? You talking about decades at least.
Seeing something like this and controlling it will require hardware that is probably a few generations of gaming away still.
This is still an amazing achievement
