Very good advice: Next time, I will get myself a 'surf bodyguard,' and maybe an extra one to make sure that I will catch extra waves without getting yell at.😂. I am just kidding around. I know what you're really meant. It's helping the locals little bit financially, and it's making the experiences more relaxing.
Thanks for a great video, helped me plan where to surf as a somewhat ’experienced’ beginner in the Bukit Peninsula! Tried all of these spots. Had a great time and managed to catch my first green waves by myself at Thomas Beach 🥹🏄♀️ Would probably not surf them as a complete beginner though due to the reefs, but think they are great for someone who has surfed at least a couple of times.
@@emiliaflorence3819 that’s amazing! I am so happy for you! Bukit is definitely an intense place to surf nowadays and I am glad my video can help you a bit in your journey :) keep up the good work!
Dreamland is also suitable for beginners, although the waves break quite close to the shore. On the other hand, Bingin's waves are too hollow and fast for beginners, and it has only one take-off spot, making it highly competitive among surfers.
Bingin also has a shallow, spikey reef. Dreamland is definitely the better choice, not the inside though, or the break far out straight ahead. Rather walk to the right when reaching the beach, past all the umbrellas and sunbeds. There’s another break over there which is more beginner friendly. You can rent right on the beach if you don’t have your own board.
@@themaskedamateurmagician1209 watch this video man. You are misreading the title. I never recommend any beginner surf uluwatu. The spots I recommend are baby padang, Thomas beach and jimbaran.
Go to kuta beach, baby padang, or dreamland if you are a beginner uluwatu is not a wave for beginners thats why so many people get hurt and hurt others on a daily basis ! Be respectful !
There's no need to go to Bali at all if you are a beginner. You will likely have little fun, not because of the waves, but because of the crowds of competent surfers. And those surfers don't need any more people in the way. Find some less crowded destination and don't tell anyone if you find paradise.
@@poita3915 For beginners, it's not just about what type of break is suitable, but how the wave breaks. Gentle, rolling waves that break on a reef with deep water are absolutely perfect for beginners. On the other hand, there are also those crazy, powerful beach breaks with a sandy bottom.
@@poita3915 Some reef breaks are perfect for beginners: Consistency and soft pitched waves. They are all over Costa Rica and Hawaii. I learned on Reef break near Pahoa, Hawaii.

NOT for beginners, extremely dangerous.
What about surfing at Dreamland or Bingin?

Full shitshow just follow the unwritten rules if its not your wave just drop in and add to the shitshow
Beginners stay at home.

@jackinparadise everyone of course. But easy soft beach breaks are great places for beginners to learn to surf. Not a reef break.

using a surf instructor when you have been surfing 10+ years is the biggest kook move of kooks moves, ridiculous
No matter how long you've been doing something, there will always be others who excel in ways you haven't yet mastered.
