Hello Doctor, I am 43 year old with grade 4 arthritis, I underwent PRP injection extracted and injected within 2 hours, for me it is working like a boon for me. No knee pain now with more than 100 kg weight. I had different experience each time I had my 3 injections, we can discuss in detail if you like. Can you share if any medical association is studying it's effects I would be happy to contribute so it could help people in need. I
Hello Sir, My mother is 77 yrs old and having rheumatoid arthritis, she is having knee pain from past 15 to 20 years. She underwent Hip replacement surgery. She is diabetic, BP, Astama, Thyroid and Knee Pain. Pls let me know whether she can undergo PRP treatment.
Great question: It depends. If she has osteoarthritis, then yes PRP might work. But let us say if she has knee pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, then I don’t think prp is going to help. Treating rheumatoid arthritis will take precedence
I usually dont recommend to my patients unless they are symptomatic inspite of rehab. there is no clear evidence to show PRP is superior to other conservative treatment. However if persistent symptoms, then one can give it a try.
Thanks you for the reply sir. Will it become normal by itself after some days ? Or will it be there like that only in my life time and I should avoid n take care of not pressuring my knee. If I left untreated will it become more worse and leads to something else ? As of now , am only getting pain when am climbing stairs up & down and cracking sounds when I bend my knee & bring it up.
