Leaning toward picking up a Z900 RS. At age 74 i still have the need for speed but I like torque too.
I had mine for just over a year, but have just traded it in and changed to a Versys 1000 SE. While I really liked the RS, it just wasn't comfy enough for touring and the Versys just feels so much more planted and stable by comparison.
God created RS to have fun and Versys to be able to move 😁 I would buy the RS as a second motorcycle for one-day weekend trips

Hi Andy, I really like this bike. It remind me when I was young.
I tested one last month. The engine is great, with power and good throttle response. Interestingly it sounds very good on the factory exhaust. In my opinion there is no point in buying an Akrapovic accessory exhaust. The suspension and brakes also impressed me very well. However, the RS has one fundamental problem which is the seat. I've ridden a number of naked bikes including a Honda CB1000R for a number of years so I'm used to fighting the wind and it's not a problem for me but the seat on the RS is so bad that riding just a little bit more dynamically felt like sitting on a barrel. The situation is also not helped by the low-riding fuel tank, which didn't give me a solid grip with my knees.
I also previously had a 2017 Versys like you Andy and interestingly the seat on the RS is higher than just the Versys - at my measly 176cm tall I had no possibility of good foot support. Ps. pozdrowienia z Polski :)

Mijn vorige motor was een 1993 Honda CB750, nu een 2015 Versys 1000.
De Honda was geweldig, maar de Versys is fijner…. Denk niet dat ik weer naar een naked bike zou gaan.
Zoals altijd, mooie video - hoop dat er veel meer blijven komen !
Vraagje over de testrit bij Kawasaki, heb je een eigen risico als er wat mis gaat met een onbekende machine ?

I bought a 2018 without testing it. Felt at home on first ride. The standard suspension settings are really stiff, if you adjust them it rides much better.
I wpuld like to try a versys 1000 though.

Is Kawasaki still selling the SE version?
I don't know about other countries, but the SE model is still sold in the Netherlands and Poland
