  • This film is one of the responses of the Anglican Church’s Primate’s Commission on discovery reconciliation and justice. The purpose of this film is to respond to the calls to action by helping to provide education and insight into the racist foundations of many of our property and other laws still in existence to this day.

I agree but teach the real truth, about the real indigenous people. The people that was here first before the immigrants from siberia and mongolia began to migrate to the americas. The people who the american system of indoctrination lied about and told you that they was brought here from africa. Big lie, we were here first for hundreds of thousands of years before any and everyone.

I was a victim of narcissism. This might sound strange but after having had your preferrences, referrences, personal taste, likes & dislikes, the way you think, act under attack and when you are made to feel as all of these are inferior in comparison to the those of the narcissist.... you suddenly understand on a deeper level what exactly it was that happened and is still happening to indiginous people of North America and Latin America.
It's not that i wasn't already aware of it. But i could never feel the depth or understand what it is to be confronted with the true potency of evil or at best : toxic ignorance. How it feels to be confronted with an extremely sickening sense of self entitlement, no remorse, no guilt, no shame and what all that means in a practical sense. I'm almost glad it happened to me because it sure is an eye opener.
I hope Indians can recover and come out better and stronger and find ways to get back some of their land and hopefully all of their sovereignity.
It's the strongest statement on Earth when you call your country "The land of the Free" when you stole it from others, butchered them, killed them and kept the remaining few in reservations.

We hear a lot about, 'be kind' from our Health Minister during these COVID 19 days. So, yes...let's be kind to our people...our indigenous people; kind in a way we haven't been kind right up until this present day. Our northern people have "polluted" water and we allow this... in Canada! When people admire Canadians I tell them not to admire us too much. We don't care for or look after 'our own' indigenous people. We should be ashamed...and it is time (and past time, Mr. Trudeau) that something is done...that everything is done to better this situation...to rectify this. There is always "Something" that can be done!!!

After they found the 215 body's , during covid and retirement decided to research my Metis Coast Salish history. My GGGrandmother Tossimitsa Edenshaw survived Kuper Island, to become the oldest native to die on Vancouver Island in 1931 at 104. My GGGrandfather Captain James Douglas Warren, opened up the Trade Routes around Vancouver Island in 1858. My Aunt Sarah Warren was a Matriarch of the Songhess, & King Freezys Great Grandaughter. She was interned to Sardis, B.C., & the First Person to Win back the RIGHT'S of The Traditional Mask Dance in 1950. I grew up during the 60's Scoop in Port Alberni, and went to school with many boarded out Student's. Even Chief Judith Sayers, she told Trudeau off, for going to Tofino on Truth & Reconciliation Day. 😥

The present day problems including global warming, is all mindset of extract or kill, consume, enjoy & dispose without any respect of Natural world. I believe, all the native culture of the world had good relations with land, river & natural world.
And it was same education policy here too. It was the "Macaulay" education system in 1835, where they destroyed whatever education institution was remaining. And Ban on native language like Sanskrit. They would decide curriculum

The word India is related to Indus/Sindhu Valley Civilization. They were in search of India, indeed true.. because of their bankrupt economy & from Ist century to 10th century. India was contributing ~30% of world GDP. And in terms of wisdom & knowledge, it was way Ahead of that time. So, unfortunately Invaders had no morals, that somehow managed to succeed in 11th century.. after various attacks starting from 7th century. Then it was Britain. Left us nearly bankrupt after independence, which didn't improved much after 50yrs

They are forgetting the Dutch, but the mistake people to my opinion make is the rulling elite of whatever civilization (no matter the continent) waged wars on (each) other(s), but also their own subjects. Whether its about the Doctrine of Discovery or modern day legislation (rule of law), it all serves the same small group of people. Is it evil what has been done to Africa, South, Central and North America, Asia, Australia etc; yes it is.
The same kind of evil force also enslaved, abused, slaughterd, exploited etc their own subjects, cause the European nobility couldnt cared less about the well being of their own subjects either. And have done the exact same thing to Europe as what they later did abroad, thats why to my opinion all of mankind throughout history till the day of today are victims. And as long we dont reconize this and everyone only focus on individual (selective) grief (how valid their pain maybe) they will be able to keep getting away with it. And theire preventing to create a better world of every single humanbeing.

Perhaps, but all these things are talked about here (which are sickening and evil) also has been done to the commoners of Europe. By the Roman Empire, Holy Roman Empire, Venice evil empire and thousands of years of terror by the Vatican but also Protestantism. The nobility (colonizers) did the exact same thing in their own lands. Its not for nothing many Europeans these day also try to re-connect with their tribal heritage before the earlier named forces of evil swept over Europe.
All these empires might have different names or hid behind different flags, but at its core when you follow the money it always have been the exact same group of people who ravaged and slaughterd all the people on this planet for centuries till the day of today. The rulling elite today is the same who killed the European tribes and forced down Christianity by the sword and later did the same on the other continents.

the First peoples' map your using is wrong,. you need to remember the settlers or back then the so-called explorers assisted in pushing most of the tribal groups west ward, causing a shift in displacing their traditional territories, to be changed from their original areas, that was a known fact, and easily understood. And yet most of the so-called scholars lack the initiative to research proper characteristics of those tribal peoples. just because they're explorers at that time , didn't make them experts in knowing the tribal identities and languages, they assumed at best! and those "Guides" used could have been direct enemies of those tribes, or a secondary enemy, but that type of discussions of talks never brought forward, and why would an enemy talk about such is issues,.. just saying,.. that the map and the lay out of the tribes are all wrong,.. really!

We become a product of our environment. The Residential School was supposed to make Native American Children act like British school children. There were 30 Native American Children that stayed in the schools for 3 days. They finally got out and went home. The rest of the 40 Children picked up by 2 Police from Britain got out right away as they called on God to save them. The Six Nations Mohawk were the targets for the Police as they were supposed to be Royal Indians of Canada and so were God's Bodies with God. The Children that went into Residential School were Mississauga Tribe Mohawk. They were displaced off their land by Farmers who went to shoot them every day until they left. I went back in time with God to Streetsville and God removed the Farmer. The Spirits are doing this long war as Obeying the British Elizabeth II Grandfather to put in Clones to replace Canadians instead of doing bombing of Canada. I would prefer the bombing of cities so they don't function and we would know we are at War. What irresponsible misdirection by the Anglican Church to provide this platform for a supposed 'reconciliation' that is devoid of actual historical consciousness. When did the Anglican Church ever issue a Papal Bull? I don't blame First Nations people in Canada for seeking out the doctrinal and legal basis of their subjection, and it is easy to see the appeal of an apparently simple catch phrase like "Doctrine of Discovery" to explain their historical tragedy. But they will have to search further and broader than this. Canada was not founded as a Catholic nation. Why not look at the actual historical and material ways that the Anglican church of Canada subjugated First Nations people? The church needs to undertake rigorous self-examination as an institution, not just "support the voices" of First Nations, which, no matter how appealingly plaintive they may be, are often wildly historically inaccurate. This is just propaganda to win the 'hearts and minds' of white liberals. Likewise, First Nations spokespeople need to drop the halting-and-grasping, holier-than-thou, eyes-wide-with-wonder tone that they so widely use - these speakers are beginning to sound just as fake as a TED talk presenter.

The false roman catholic church put forth the doctrine of discovery and they are not christian......therefore it is not a christian doctrine.....
