Bad steering wheel is because of bad tyre rod. Steering wheel play in Khyber can be easily removed by replacing the Tyre rod.

These problem which you mentioned as Hard steering, Hard Gear etc. are related to the specific car you are driving. Personally i have this car model 96 and only driven 128000 km and didn't have such problems you mentioned. So this car needs maintenance......
