It's crazy to see how far cal took us away from who we are, and ppl supported it. We don't care about the nba. I'm glad for the kids that make it because that's their dream. But being a farm team for the league got old fast, and honestly, cal ruined a lot of kids' careers by pushing them to the nba too soon. I'm just excited to see a team get coached and improve through coaching and not just the game slowing down for talented kids.
How many top 10 kids have won titles recently? Not many. Those kids are 1 and done. It's hard to build chemistry with those kids when u have older players who are used to one another. U don't have to have top 25 talent. Players are so good across the board now that u have guys in the 50s who will develop into top-tier players with good coaching. Recruit guys with heart and tenacity that sets them apart. Those guys will themselves to get better. I'd rather have a group of guys that play harder than anyone else than have talent that u have to coach effort

He took them to that next level, the final four. You have to have some NBA talent to win championships. No, you don't have to have a team full of them. But you have to have one or two that can get that bucket when needed. Marquette beat us with that one NBA guy, Dwyane Wade. Tubby couldn't recruit like Rick did before him, and that's what ended his career. Go CATS!!

I don’t care if it’s right or wrong, but I do think pointing fingers at someone else or trying to project your own misery on someone else is more a reflection on you than it is on them.
