Otega will be one of the top players on this team he can guard an he will thrive in popes system
I’m curious to see what he does. I feel like people wanting robinson and Lanier both are really sleeping on him. If he plays d as good as they say and can get into the paint, score in transition, and hit an open 3 here and there he’ll do great. I think this is already a very well rounded team as is.
No player is worth a million dollars in college would not even think of giving some kid 2-3 million a year
Look at not this way: with the purchasing power of the dollar these days, it's barely like a half million five years ago!
We miss out on both, Jaxon NBA, Chaz to tenn, Kentuckys gonna have to spend money eventually to get these guys.

@alostcause4035 we won't pay chaz, jaxson or no one from byu wants to play for pope. And not giving poplar any attention during this time i believe will ruin it in the end. We will get a sub 100 transfer at best. 💔

Coach Cal had 4 final fours, 1 championship and 1 runner-up. Giving him the best record of any Kentucky coach since Rupp. He also won more games than any UK coach since Rupp. Rick Pitino and Joe Hall had 3 final fours 1 championship each. and Rupp got 6 final fours and 4 championships. That makes Calgary number two in Kentucky
He did a lot of good and I have a lot of great memories because of Calipari and I'll always be grateful for what he did for the state, but I'm excited for Pope. We'll see how it pans out, of course, but he's making great moves so far. Wish Cal luck, but we all needed a change.
And 1 tournament win in the last 5 years. Sports is about what you have done lately. This isn't the University of Calipari. Feel free to be an Arkansas fan.
1.) He missed the tournament twice without being on probation. Something else those coaches didn't do. 2.) In just the last 4 tournaments: '21 he missed the tournament completely, '22 he lost in the first round as a #2 seed to a #15, in '23 he lost in the second round as a higher seed, and in '24 lost in the first round as a #3 seed to a #14. 3.) He didn't even try to win the SEC tournament anymore. Had the longest span without winning a regular season title, or tournament title of all the coaches you mentioned. 4.) Over the last 5 years he had a losing record against ranked teams, and it wasn't even close. But feel free to root for the University of Calipari, wherever he sets up shop.
