This whiskey is pristine. I had a comparison between Ardbeg 10 year, Ardbeg Uigeadail, Laphroaig 12, Glenfiddich 12 and this one and this one really stood out!

My wife got me a bottle of this for my birthday last June. Just opened it up for our 17th anniversary. LOVELY! :D

It's 19000 bottles. Says it on the box. Have mine on the shelf.. Waiting for the right day to open it up.

Thank you for an excellent review! I have had my eyes on Freya for better part of this year, one bottle, alone, on top shelf at my local liquor store, the only bottle in my city here in Finland. Today I finally could no longer resist Freya's call - I curse myself for missing Thor last year. So, I carried her home. And this is horrible, I dare not open, such an investment. The ultimate test for self-discipline, Freya in my cabinet.

A good way around this urge is to visit a whisky festival or whisky fair and try just a dram.

Paying about 200,- euro for an average (cask strength) refil 15yrs.matured whisky
And thinking it's something unique only because the company want you to think so??? Limited ,wooden nonsense package! How many "limited" editions will follow? It's one big joke to me. And it's seriously pisses me off! Pay for quality not for make believe collectors items!!

Yes, the bottle is too expensive for a 15 year old, but it is everybody's own decision to buy or to leave it. If you want a more reasonable priced Highland Park you better look at the Warrior series.

koeliejoelie2 I have to agree. This is more about the packaging (and the BS mythology) than it is about the quality of the whisky. And since they made 19000 bottles, it's not even very limited. But if one wants to buy it as a collectible, that is fine. However, if one wants to buy a quality whisky for drinking, you can get something so much better for the same amount of money.

It's actually **quite lovely**. The quality is absolutely there. I've never had anything quite like it and it is nothing like the standard Highland Park 15. Got it as a birthday gift so I can't complain about the price. :)

Yes, I do. But I only read the bullet points next to the camera.
