EPIC session Russ mate 👍👍, god the Trent is a beast when in flood ain't it 😮. Some cracking fish, that 3rd one looked HUGE!! Great to see u out doing the business again pal, all the best n speak soon 👍🍺🎣
some great angling again there mate well done. The best way to get the broken bit out is to use a little ezzy out you simply drill the broken shaft tap the ezzy out in and turn anti clockwise this will wind the broken part out. well done with the uploads i love em.
Enjoyable video Russ! Both barbel gave you a right tussle and you did very well to get the second one out of that branch snag. Gutting for you with the net handle breakage. Did you manage to get the broken screw fitting out of the handle?
Lovely they definitely no how to find a snag I’ve seen them dive head first into the rocks at the side of the river and stay there usually snapping your line on the rocks but they will come out when you give them some slack unlike carp
Expertly wangled mate. I clearly need to blaspheme more, if I want to catch more barbel. ;) I've just bought myself a 42" NGT net. A surprisingly solid piece of kit for a tenner. :)
Good job ( eventually) ! Think u might need to get down the gym , & get some stronger arms , noticed on both occasions had your drag to slack , but hey ho ! U are out there doing it , good on u .
He definitely had his drag far to under tension, the barbel gained to much of an advantage to soon & the fish was playing him to often, Fishing flooded rivers aren’t your average carp lake the right tension on your reel needs to be so precise.
Loved the video you haven't lost your touch pal Great to see you out doing the vids again catch you soon pal.
Cracking video pal great to see you still bang on form as usual catch you soon Russ.

Some lovely barbel there pal lovely river well stocked, they don’t half put up a fight them barbel. Until next time 💪
Its a great river to fish hope to be back again in two weeks. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Thanks Harry, not sorted the broken screw yet but do have more nets and landing net poles to use. Thanks for watching
Some beautiful fish there even the breem was a good size 👌 keep up the good work
Thanks for watching buddy
Do you not keep twisting the line on the reel by constantly reeling in while the fish strips line?
Nope
Lovely they definitely no how to find a snag I’ve seen them dive head first into the rocks at the side of the river and stay there usually snapping your line on the rocks but they will come out when you give them some slack unlike carp

You can drop on some decent NGT stuff i've a landing net pole and other bits.
Did you manage to weigh them lovely fish
The first was 12lbs didn’t weigh the second which was bigger was distracted by my landing net breaking
Why didn't you fish a swim with not as many snaggs no point getting the fish snagged up everytime
The bailiff recommended fishing there as it had the least amount of snags plus you can’t control what drifts down river
Good job ( eventually) ! Think u might need to get down the gym , & get some stronger arms , noticed on both occasions had your drag to slack , but hey ho ! U are out there doing it , good on u .
Thanks for the tip, i also had cancer and went down to nine stone but hey ho 😀
My sympathies lie with the fish at our mercy.
3 snagged not good
