- A trip down on the mid Trent for an early season barbel session using pellets and boilies. The river was low and gin clear and a blazing hot sun wasn't ideal conditions for barbel fishing. We arrived at Fiskerton at sunrise with a mist above the river with Pete opting to fish in peg 39 and myself in peg 40, pegs which I've never fished before.
Barnsley & District Amalgamated Angling Society own the fishing rights for this stretch of river and day tickets must be purchased before fishing from the village shop in Fiskerton which is usually open just before 6am Monday to sunday. Its a lovely stretch of river so plz refrain from leaving litter. Ps make sure you have a unhooking mat for barbel and carp fishing.

Thanks for watching. Only had one session on Trent this year due to low levels and poor oxygenated water. Just caught the single barbel at 8lb.
ukfishingvlog you make good fishing content and I enjoy watching. I agree the water levels are shocking and it's running crystal clear I've only been twice and had 1 barble at 9lb 4oz. Keep up the good work and hopefully fishing will pick up soon!!
Thanks, did plan to film some sessions on a few other Yorkshire rivers like Swale, Nidd and Wharfe but in need of a good downpour. Should be filming again next week on some Stillwaters. Thanks for watching.
Probably a very interesting doc, trouble is I can't hear a thing, and it's not my fault. Gave up after 9 mins.

Can you night fish it, as a member ?
No night fishing on Barnsley & District book. The ABF has night fishing rights only, membership by application and theres a long waiting list as confirmed by member Yorkshire Drone

It’s not the barbel society mate it’s ABF that hold the night fishing anyone can join the ABF but members are limited and there’s quite a long waiting list for our stretch

Sun cream and Barbel fishing dont really go together. Still a nice video.
Cheers buddy. True blazing hot days don't bode well for barbel fishing kinda feel envious of barbel society members with night fishing rights.
