I remember "Don't Stop Runnin" and "Summertime Girls" getting a decent amount of play on MTV, but I always thought Earthshaker, Black Tiger and Mean Streak were their best albums by far. Definitely under appreciated and I loved cranking their music back in college and having everyone ask if it was Sammy Hagar!
truly one of the most underrated rock and roll groups ever. seen them soo many times in the 80s..this is the way it is done no doubt!! meniketti a class act. if you ever are in the bay area , look for them playing anywhere, you wont be dissapointed,.
I saw them at Donnington in 1984, and they were just brilliant, and I saw them again supporting Whitesnake, still just as good! Love to see them again! Hope they come back to the Bournemouth area!
More coverage on Meneketti's solo would've been nice, but what a great rock band. I've got friends who know Dave personally. He's a San Francisco Bay Area rocker and he deserves to be in the Rock Hall of Fame!!
must have seen them 15 times in the bay area. concord pavilion, marin county, day on the green. their Halloween shows at concord pavilion were the best!
Haze was great, and gone here, but this is still hot. Look at Joey, shooting the place up. Great song, great testament to testosterone. I was busy making money back then. Would have liked to see this concert but glad I can see them here today.
TomYanks, I agree Lennie Haze - who "smoked on matters"- is a very underrated drummer. But his track record of moving from band to band speaks volumes about him. It's a shame, not sure what his deal is but life goes on and I am glad Y&T did. Zep without Bonham, I don't think so...but a shame nonetheless.
Talking about the same Metallica w/o Cliff Burton? Then 15+? years later Jason left the band and all Metallica could do is talk about how it wasn't the "real Metallica" for that entire period of time? But I know what you are saying. Without certain members in a band, usually original members, many bands lose "it". Marky is a great drummer and person. But the original line up for the Ramones will always be my fav.
always loved this song but joey alves back up vocals when he saying open fire, does not work for me. i wish dave said open fire himself instead of alves shouting it out like its done on the record.i have seen y&t several times along with 200 other concerts so i am not someone who does not know the song. anyone agree with alves backup on this song only?
Even though Dave says that the original band is the best, "this band" of Y&T was the best band. Yes Leonard was good but he wasn't as great as this guy. Everyone that I let listen to this album loved it, the others, "eeeh". "Contagious" was the best. Cheers
Y & T-simply the most underrated heavy band in history. Dave Meniketti, the man, the myth, the legend.
I will be seeing them for the 8th time at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz in Jan. I saw them for the 1st time in 81.
Freaking incredible band I seen them a couple times unbelievable what a band They are in my soul forever!!!
Been a huge fan since day one
These guys never got their due! Great songs, ferocious guitar playing and energy
for days! Y&T were definitely one of the unsung heroes of the '80's.

truly one of the most underrated rock and roll groups ever. seen them soo many times in the 80s..this is the way it is done no doubt!!
meniketti a class act. if you ever are in the bay area , look for them playing anywhere, you wont be dissapointed,.

Awesome band from the 80s, great in concert....very underrated.
I saw them at Donnington in 1984, and they were just brilliant, and I saw them again supporting Whitesnake, still just as good! Love to see them again! Hope they come back to the Bournemouth area!
I've seen this band 5 times. The last time was a 'farewell' show in Ontario California at a tiny place. One of the best live bands you can see.
Dave meniketti deserves to be a rock hero!
Most underrated rock band. Thanks for sharing the video. 👍🤘🎤🎶
💥 High 🎸 Energy 💥
Im going to see Y&T tonight in Portland! Dave rips STILL! Always a great show.

I agree don't forget about Leonard Haze a ferocious drummer at minimus.
I agree about Haze,But this is Jimmy Degrasso on drums,Haze left in 1986
Both badass but haze did it on one bass drum
Wow! Great backing vocals and Joey Alves playing some cool leads... I am going to watch this again!!!
More coverage on Meneketti's solo would've been nice, but what a great rock band. I've got friends who know Dave personally. He's a San Francisco Bay Area rocker and he deserves to be in the Rock Hall of Fame!!
rock n roll yea !
Daves voice reminds me of Sammy Hagar a bit..class act no doubt and STILL sounds good 30 years later
It sounds great, also the song is very good😎

must have seen them 15 times in the bay area. concord pavilion, marin county, day on the green. their Halloween shows at concord pavilion were the best!

i saw bernie torme on guitar a few months after randy. torme sounded great with ozzy, great show at the old boston garden 1982.
Nice black Kramer Baretta in action :) 85 model too on a kick ass song Cool
Haze was great, and gone here, but this is still hot. Look at Joey, shooting the place up. Great song, great testament to testosterone. I was busy making money back then. Would have liked to see this concert but glad I can see them here today.
gotta love the pants! that being said, this is great.
And now only Dave is left.
:(
I saw these dudes in Glens falls NY it was with Aerosmith, In rock we trust album. I think. If you remember the 80's, I do not think you where there.
hot hot hot,and there back! open fire.......
Jimmy Degrasso back there in the dark, on Drums? i believe he had taken over for Leonard Haze at that point.
Fuckin cooool 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the 80's attire and big hair. :)
Wonder what Joey Alves is doing these days?? Tried to google him but found nothing current.
RIP
Dave is the only member alive. Still touring and sounds great. The last show I saw before the lock down.
Why don’t they play this live?
where's does this footage come from...more please.
wow...where are they now..?
Can someone upload a Studio versio of this song?
WOW,I DIDN'T KNOW THE SINGER FOR RATT COULD PLAY RHYTHM GUITAR. LOL.
Well, the singer of Ratt actually does play guitar. 😂

Lenard didnt jump band to bad he was kicked out then got cops he past away in2018
@JG1635 Bieber, Boy band & Lady Blah Blah fans take notes as well! This is HOW TO KICK ARSE!
3/4 Y&T but I'm Lost no Haze
Has no one seen the !/! between this and Mean Streak. Identical.
Heavy stuff
Hi Rattmaster86 Do you know what happen to Barroom Boogie from this show ?
I'm not sure. Perhaps it's not popular enough to be a regular on every setlist. Bands usually like to change things up every now and then.
Where is the drummer ?
Wrong, it was '82 when Brad Gillis was with Ozzy
Sure? This clip?
I didn't think you swung that way

you must swing both ways

Or Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott, but, they still press on and carry the flag.Same with Skynyrd.
They began looking flashy and too much high tone chorus sounded annoying though their music itself was as great as usual.
pick. of. destiny.
The only music that rocks like Metallica used too
