Your car uses a dry clutch DQ200 7SPD DSG. This gearbox is still used in cars that have torque less than 250nm. Your 1.0TSi, 1.2 , 1.4 and 1.5TSi cars. The 6C polo GTi used the same transmission which is why the Auto was limited to 250nm while the manual had the full 320nm. The AW polo GTi uses the DQ250 wet clutch 6spd DSG. Same transmission as the 7GTi, 7.5 TCR. The 7.5GTi and 7.5R use DQ381 wet clutch 7spd. Which is kind of the improved version of the DQ250.
I had 2016 polo with that DSg gearbox it was giving me the same errors I had to get rid of the car because fitting new mechatronics on that car was about R30 000 and thatade me hate DSg autoboxes till now I drive a manual and honestly don't think I'll be buying any automatic anytime soon.
Hey man, I think they cost similar money to maintain because they’re very similar under the skin, but I think the 7 would be a better choice because it’s newer but always go for a car with as low mileage as possible
Gearbox the main issue? Are there any other things to look for? Looking into buying the 1.4tsi. Not sure why they did not put a wet gearbox in all cars and only the 2.0TSI TDI cars
This video came out 2 years ago and u still giving us great content in 2024

Full tank is almost 1450
So I’m thinking of buying my first car between the golf 7 tsi golf 6 tsi which one is cheaper to maintain?

get the 7. it have new engine(EA211) which fix most issue in golf 6 engine (EA111). so golf 7 cheaper to maintain
Thank you guys I’ll go for the 7
Between the Golf 7 tsi 2017 model and Audi a 2016 sports which one do u think I shud go with.
The Golf has 140km on the clock and Audi 128km
If the Audi is also the 1.4L engine then they’re both pretty much the same car and experience, it’s just a case of which brand you prefer?
The Golf 7 would be cheaper to maintain although its the exact same car as the Audi. Definitely try and get the manual.

Pretty much the gearbox only.
@@embakubmotoring just experienced this issue now. Had to replace mechatronic unit, clutch kit and flywheel, and it cost R65k.
how often does it need service?
Every 15 000km
How much cash price bro currently if it’s more than 100km roughly
Are you asking what the value of the car is now?
Mentioning the date of recording would be cool. So I don't have to minimize and see when the video was uploaded
