  • Hey guys, here's an interesting video, often newly launched cars tend to have issues that are later sorted with facelifts and so on, and the Golf 7 platform is no different.
    In this video, I discuss 7 issues that are common amongst Golf 7 cars, from those that are negligible, to really big issues.

    Have you heard of the high oil consumption issue which results in the car using up all the oil in about 1000km & the oil leaks into the plugs etc. . .apparently this problem is very common with the 2013/2014 golf 7 models. This eventually results in a engine rebuild.
    I personally experienced this issue and I found some golf owners on Google who did as as well.

      Jeez that’s a hefty one, the whole engine rebuilt? Damn, I didn’t come across that one but it’s sounds like a very hectic problem.

    Ive had the workshop error pop up before and my heart literally dropped but it only stayed on for a few seconds, then it was gone. I drive a Polo 6c GTI 2015 model though...

      I’ve heard reports of the same error light on the GTI 6c, it’s also an occurrence on that model, but it should be good.

    What's your opinion on getting a liqui moly engine flush? My Golf MK7 2014 is approaching 100k km & I was thinking of doing an engine flush during my next oil change

    My parent had a polo gti 2010-2012, dsg was always fucking up, sometimes it would just stop and not go in either R or D. Had to get rid of it, till this day i dont recommend a gti. Maybe the new ones are good

    Coming from a 2008/2009 E90 BMW 325 M sport natural aspirated engine and looking to buy a 2014 to 2017 Golf 7 GTI used , what advise can you guys give me will be a good move , what are the running cost of such a car and can i used for daily commuting from and to work?

    • @embakubmotoring
      @embakubmotoring  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Get one that’s 2017, or 2016 at worst, cars before 2016 have a couple of faults, so 2016 and 17 ones would be a safe buy…
      You can easily use it for commuting that’s part of the tasks it’s made for, try to get one with as low mileage as possible…

    Waterpump thermostat housing of my car has been replaced so many times i lost count. I have had a mechatronic replacement. And it seems the pistons apparently have a problem.

    Ive also had the waterpump issue on my Polo 6c GTI. The coolant only lasts 2 days before the error light pops up😭

      @embakubmotoring  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems like this problem is more prone on the Polo 6c GTI🤔…
      How was your experience to get it fixed?

      @@embakubmotoring luckily for me, i had just purchased the car at the time the waterpump issue came up and i sent it back to the dealer to repair. They came to the party, but the whole experience was crap. Imagine, the excitement of owning ur new car and two days later, u have to return it. Only to get it back 2 weeks later...🥺 i was so annoyed but had to be patient as well. After fixing the waterpump other errors started popping up, but i made sure that the dealer take accountability for it. In the end everything got sorted and im a happy customer!
