    Finallllllyyyyyy the video I've been longing for I have finally found it, a bridge fishing snook video that goes in depth and fish from the actual BRIDGE! You have no idea man how long I've wanted to try this, this looks pretty fun so I think I'm going to give it a go. U just gained a new sub!

      Awesome! I'm glad the video was appealing to you. I got the broken back rebel from "Bass Pro" online. I'm trying to be creative without revealing where I'm fishing. I've caught fish on many different bridges using this same technique. It's a great way to fish with shrimp too. I'll check out your channel too!

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like it when the tide is moving. It seems like different places are best on one, the other or both tides. For me, it's a matter of getting out there and fishing constantly when I find the fish to know what tide is best for that spot. Thanks for commenting today and good luck.

    Nice snook. That's about the size I've been trying to hook; but always get a bunch of dinks, some 12-16 inchers, and then some monster 25+ feeling monster that takes all my line. I ordered some 30lb braid and 40lb leader. I'm going to set up a second rod with this heavier line to fish once the sun starts to set which is when I hook the monsters.

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like great plan. Snook season opens in a couple of days in South Florida. I'm so ready to keep one, slot size is 28"-32" in our area. I have the same problem as you, either they are too small or too big. I met some guy on a bridge last night who showed me pictures of monster snook he's caught fishing with jigs. I'll have to try that sometime. Do you live in Puerto Rico? I will be uploading a lot of snook fishing videos. Make sure you subscribe!

    Would you say the tide is more important than time of day? Was fishing a bridge at night on an outgoing tide and saw a few nice sized snook swimming away from the shadow line so I’m exited to go back out but the tides not looking so good at night the upcoming days.

    • @RadReelingFishing

    Whats better, incomming or outgoing?

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience different locations are more productive on different tides. I have some snook spots I fish on incoming and others I fish on outgoing. Fish generally like to stage themselves in certain places depending upon which way the tide flows around structure. Like the diagram in this video, snook face into the tide most of the time.

    Why do you fish mono main line? Braid casts farther, Holds more line, and you can feel your lure/fish a lot better.

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment Evan. All of your points are true! I'm snook fishing with braid more now than when I started this channel a couple of months ago. I like braid, but it has one issue that really irritates me, the line just gets tangled sometimes and those tight little knots waste a ton of fishing time. Other than that I'm becoming avid braid fisherman. I appreciate you sharing your wisdom!

    • @dizzy2816
      @dizzy2816 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rad Reeling Fishing no problem man, I’m not against mono it definitely has its place, my conventional live bait rod and all my offshore rods are spooled with mono.

    • @toddmoser1670
      @toddmoser1670 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i switched to 24 inch flouro leader def catch more with the flouro than just braid mono is probly the same.

    • @natebudd2655
      @natebudd2655 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rad Reeling Fishing sounds like wind or casting knots. That’s caused by either the line being put on to loose or the lb braid not matching the action of the rod and weight of the lure.

  • @lukec.8941
    @lukec.8941 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    im going to give you some advice: learn a new leader to mainline knot. the knot you are using probably takes 50% of the breaking strain and im going to assume youve broken many lines right at the knot on light pressure

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Luke, what's your favorite leader to main line knot? I landed a 42" snook this past season using the same knot, it's very strong. Really the only time I break off is when a giant snook wears through the leader line with his teeth or gets me into some pilings. What state do you live in? You catching any fish these days?

    • @lukec.8941
      @lukec.8941 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the two i use are the fg and the uni to uni knots. these knots are superior to yours because your knot tightens on itself and any pressure you put on it pulls it apart. i used to use that knot so i do understand how it works. it is taught to many people due to the fact that it is easy to tie

    • @lukec.8941
      @lukec.8941 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can see even in the video in kicks both lines and slips somewhat when you tighten it

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Luke, I appreciate your input. I'm getting a lot faster at tying the uni knot. I'll probably use it more often. I use the uni and fg knots periodically. I actually just published a video tonight where I had tied a uni knot, mostly for the purpose of casting through the eyes of the rod. What state do you live in?

      @RadReelingFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for asking. We don't reveal locations 99% of the time on this channel. We do encourage anglers to get out and fish hard to find great locations to fish. It seems like these days many people are just fishing on TH-cam to find other people's great fishing spots. You will find Snook around just about every major bridge in the inner coastal water ways or bridges that are near passes in south Florida. Here watch this video to see where they really like to hang out: th-cam.com/video/mQMts_1ayTU/w-d-xo.html
