I just caught my fist snook on a jig last night, keeper slot snook. I uploaded the video today. I'm going to try some of your techniques. Dude, I catch snook all the time with speed reeling lures. I get more snook on reactions bites than any other way of fishing lures.
That kid talking in the video crushes snook. Saw him and one of his buddies doubled up on two big ones during a storm one day about 2 yrs ago. Take his advice!
u should do a vid on fishing bridges/fenders. also where to position yourself on the jetty and when (tide/time of day) would help people too. btw ive been playing around with carolina rigging big swimbaits and i dont get hung up nearly as much. sometimes i go a few trips and dont lose 1 rig. good stuff guys!
I have always loved catching snook and it’s definitely my favorite fish to seek out. I’m new to using both lures demonstrated here but let me tell you, I used your advice and I can’t tell you how great my success was even over live bait. 👍🏻 awesome
Used your tips in your snook off the pier videos and worked great thank you and this video is just as good and will try this soon keep on doing what your doing
Great video. A guy game me a couple of the Flair Hawks last night. I watched him land a 36" snook. So, if you want to catch a slot snook, 28"-32" or 33", what do you fish with?
No either one can be used for either one. The bait caster allows you to feel the jig/spooltek more, but the spinner is certainly part of our arsenal. Bait casters don't give you anywhere near the line capacity that a big spinner will.
Great vid guys, this is probably the best video I've seen for people who want to learn how to use the best lures for snook 😉. Always nice to see you guys helping out your subs 👍🏻. Keep it up and hope to see you at Juno 😎
once again another great video, my biggest snook on artificial came on a gulfstream lures flairhawk and have caught several more on flairhawks, havent had too much luck though on the spoolteks.
Sometimes they want the jig. Last night we were fishing with 20 people and only the guys throwing spotless got bit. Every night is different, but spoolteks definitely have their place!
Great snook fishing technics !!! I'll go after the monsters here in Brazil soon with my spoolteks. First Monsters Schools are showing they faces and begining to eat in the shalows in SP coast, and they're fat fat fat ... Amazing value Florida Veteran tips guys !!! Thanks a lot.
Thinking of buying a left-handed bait caster such as yours, we always use a right side crank but it makes no sense having to swape arm positions after each cast. DUH.
thanks man very helpful im a live bait guy but i keep hearing an seeing guys crush them on the flair hawk jigs, my only question is if im fishing a 15 ft deep bridge lights in st.pete FL what weight do you recommend i have on my jig???
Darker colors for darker water and lighter colors for clear water and the beach. Also take into account what bait the fish are feeding on. Baramundi, Sardini and electric ladyfish are great ones.
If i was fishing a wall that is 40 ft deep in the port and snook like to hang there would i use a jig or spooltek because i usually use live pilchards there but when they leave i would like a lure to switch off to, and what technique would i use?
Great video, very informative! I've been waiting for something like this! Can you recommend a reel for flair hawk and spooltek at inlets? I'm pairing it with a St Croix Avid 8' 17-40 H. Budget is $300-$400. Thanks!

HEY Ben great video. So I pull up to a certain bridge this morning and although I cant fish from the span there is plenty of area to fish under the bridge. The current was ripping and there was plenty of explosions taking place under the bridge not just under the span. How would you attack this?
+Landshark Fishing No, thank you for uploading. Excellent demonstration on how to use a flair hawk. Btw what color choice is best for the outgoing tide during sunset?
I'm fishing mainly passes 10-25ft deep on the west coast in Saint Petersburg. Pairing with a big spinner. I have a 7500 spinfisher V combo with a stiff 7' but it's a damn boat rod and not long enough.
There is no way to prevent this lol. Being knowledge in the area you are fishing will help you to avoid casting in certain areas. Also keeping the rod top with a jig slightly elevated. Lastly, when it feels like your about to get snagged don't reel slowly, pop it hard.
Ok so rod tip up or down when fishing the for hawk for jigs cause you. covered the spoolteks in the video for.the rod tips part but not the flair hawk?????
@landsharkfishing Any other alternative baitcasters that are a bit lower on the price ? The Revo is a beast but also costs $400 before taxes. The Diawa Lexa 300 has a great drag and good price but the gear speed ratio is high. Those musky rods are sick too 9 ft thing must cast a mile lol
I honestly don't know. I have friends who fish the Toro beast and the Lexa and both are great. The most important thing to look for as far as a bait caster for snook, will be sufficient drag 20lbs+, line capacity and Saltwater capability. Research the lower end Revos and maybe they will meet those requirements.
Jrivera check out the revo s. Its basically the same as the beast without the better drag. I like mine a lot. Daiwa lexas are very good too, more robust, but not as smooth. I have both and it would be hard to pick a winner.
Why are you giving everything away. This fishing separates the good fisherman from the bad fisherman. Also there is no such thing as a secret bridge or spot, every bridge holds fish and it's not my bridge or yours, or anyone else's for that matter. Whether you watch a video or not the learning curve to learn the artificial game comes down to putting in physical time on the bridge and no amount of videos will ever replace that. The tips mentioned in my video are just guidelines and generally to promote a certain lure/jig I believe in and deserves credibility, such as the videos I filmed with Tom Lewis. Thanks guys, I've been being pestered to use flair hawks and spoolteks all the time. so it's helpful to see how it is done.
No problem, When are we doing a collab!!!
We definitely need to meet up and do some fishing!
Fishing With Lawson Lindsey Id watch that video!
Lawson Lindsey hey lawson
Lawson, you are awesome man!

hands down the best snook fishing instructional video. Great job guys!
Thank you and stay tuned for more!
FINALLY A VIDEO ON HOW TO FISH THE LURES!! Thanks for this!!
No problemo
They look pretty good, but i prefer a pumpkin seed senko for my huge snook.
Whatever floats your boat
Used your tips in your snook off the pier videos and worked great thank you and this video is just as good and will try this soon keep on doing what your doing
Very cool to see, we can help out other anglers!
Great video. A guy game me a couple of the Flair Hawks last night. I watched him land a 36" snook. So, if you want to catch a slot snook, 28"-32" or 33", what do you fish with?

Thank you Nick. I don't know if we will be at Juno this year lol.
This guy knows his stuff!
and great job on the underwater footage
Thanks man, really appreciate feedback.

no problem
@landshark thx man yeah guess I will check out both then.
Been looking forward to a video like this, it's awsome man keep up the good work
Got a lot more already filmed, will be releasing one a week.
Can you make a video on the gear that you use for jig fishing and also the bait casters.
Already filmed it with Ben lol. We have a lot of great content coming out in the next few weeks. I'm going to release one snook related video a week.
Great advice and another awesome vid
I'm thinking of getting the casting one soon nd I was wondering how good it was at casting lighter lure like the lil mullet from nlbn
What rod do you have on the bait caster and where did you get it
Mason Rush that’s what I want to know
Abu Garcia revo beast st croix rod
great stuff man. How long leader you use and what size?
By the way thank you for this video. It's the most informative video on this kind of fishing 👍
No problem man
Hi nice video my friend so informative. Do these baits and styles work for seabass? Thank you.
So with a flair hawk you keep the rod tip high the whole time or as it sweeps lower the rodtip from higher up to lower ?
Great informational video guys keep up the great work!! Can't wait to see what is next!!
Stay Tuned!
+Landshark Fishing Trust me I won't be going anywhere, I love this channel!
lol Buckle up, its about to get full speed.
+Landshark Fishing Sweet can now wait!!
Very informative video. Thanks alot 🤙
Awesome video guys. Great tips!
Thank you Supreme fishing!
What size flair would you recommend off the beach?
Good video man thanks for the info
Thinking of buying a left-handed bait caster such as yours, we always use a right side crank but it makes no sense having to swape arm positions after each cast. DUH.
how do you think the abu garcia revo toro beast would hold up against tarpon when it comes to line capacity?
Great video kid. Keep it up.
Thanks Brandon
thanks man very helpful im a live bait guy but i keep hearing an seeing guys crush them on the flair hawk jigs, my only question is if im fishing a 15 ft deep bridge lights in st.pete FL what weight do you recommend i have on my jig???
+Tyler Brewer weight is very dependent on current. Most likely a 1.5
Great video, very informational! And are there any specific color combos that tend to work more for you? For both the flair hawk and spooltek
Darker colors for darker water and lighter colors for clear water and the beach. Also take into account what bait the fish are feeding on. Baramundi, Sardini and electric ladyfish are great ones.
+Landshark Fishing thanks man, appreciate the quick response 👌🏽
No problemo

Either one will work. If you go with a spooltek, fish the new heavy ones. I would sweep it along the wall.
Great video, very informative! I've been waiting for something like this!
Can you recommend a reel for flair hawk and spooltek at inlets? I'm pairing it with a St Croix Avid 8' 17-40 H. Budget is $300-$400. Thanks!
Casting or Spinning reel?
Spinning. If you can recommend other rods under $300 that would be great too.
Nothing?

Thanks a lot! Will there be a big difference in 8' vs 8'6"? My only problem is transporting an 8'6".
HEY Ben great video. So I pull up to a certain bridge this morning and although I cant fish from the span there is plenty of area to fish under the bridge. The current was ripping and there was plenty of explosions taking place under the bridge not just under the span. How would you attack this?
Sweep along the shadow line, sweep along the fender, and sweep everywhere. Just cast at different angles till you find where the fish are staged.
Forgot to mention* if you're working your jig or spooltek slow at such places as Sebastian Inlet. You may want to invest in more lures.....lol
What size flair hawk do you recommend for inlets with strong tides (Sebastian for example)? Great vid:)
Thank you for commenting. 2oz and 3oz. Sebastian I like the 3oz
+Landshark Fishing No, thank you for uploading. Excellent demonstration on how to use a flair hawk. Btw what color choice is best for the outgoing tide during sunset?
White jig for clear water, Chartreuse in the dirty water.
What’s the set up on the baitcaster rod? Brand of rod and reel?
What rod was that you were using on that Baitcaster ??
What kinda knots are you using for the flair hawks and the spooltek?
Uni or loop knot if you prefer
I just got into the heavy jigs and spoolteks. What kind of rod do I need for this?
Thats a loaded question lol, it depends on lots of things. Are you going to be fish bridges/jettys? What reel you paring it with?
I'm fishing mainly passes 10-25ft deep on the west coast in Saint Petersburg. Pairing with a big spinner. I have a 7500 spinfisher V combo with a stiff 7' but it's a damn boat rod and not long enough.
If you need to cast really far I'd go with a 9ft. If you don't than 8ft-8'6 is in your favor. Are you looking for a custom or production rod?
what rod is that baitcaster on
great information thanks for the tips
Thank you for watching!
What's the best way to keep it from getting hung up on the rocks? Just keep jigging when it hits the bottom?
There is no way to prevent this lol. Being knowledge in the area you are fishing will help you to avoid casting in certain areas. Also keeping the rod top with a jig slightly elevated. Lastly, when it feels like your about to get snagged don't reel slowly, pop it hard.
Cool video
What is that bait casting combo?
can yall put links for the equpiment shown in the videos?
Links to what equipment?
+Landshark Fishing the line, rod, reel specs like that.
can i apply a chunk 0f calico crab to the flarehawk for permit fishing? or would it be better on the spooltek?
No jigs, no spoolteks, just calico.
+Landshark Fishing so does that mean no leader just straight braid?
leader
+Landshark Fishing what size leader would you recommend for inlet snook?
50lb when its clear 80b when its dirty.
Hey! I am looking to get a swim bait rod and reel for snook and was wandering if you had any suggestions. My price range if around 350
Where will you be throwing it mainly?
How far will you need to cast?
Do you prefer Graphite or Fiberglass?
Bridges and Docks, I dont think I need to cast far and I prefer fiberglass
Email me at teethtv@gmail.com and tell me exactly what you are looking for.
Hey so whats a good size rod and reel for snook 8ft, 6000 size?
when will the ear video becoming out? I'm getting ready to build a new rod and haven't decided on a length, either a 8' or 8'6"
8'6 for sure, the extra 6 in makes a huge difference in casting distance.
Were can i buy those flair hawks
it looks like rod tip up but I can't exactly tell from.the video ....where is this filmed?
In Bens back yard lol
For a swimbait have the rod facing the lure, for a jig have it at a 45 degree angle.
Saludos desde México Acapulco a ese señuelo le llamamos BAILARINA PLUMERO
when you say sweep an area like shadow lines what do u mean by sweep?
Watch this video th-cam.com/video/H3oNwgr9Mbk/w-d-xo.html
what pound line for the baitcaster??
50lb braid!
how did he get the reel left handed
dudes a G
Whould a lexa 400HD reel. and a tackle industries 2- piece 9 feet' musky rod be a good combo?????
Jesus Zamudio yes it would be it would be a great one but use heavy braid
Yeah, that would be an awesome set up.
I actually use the 9ft 2 piece Tackle Industries MH, it is an excellent rod.
good job ty!!
is it important to use floro? or is mono ok for a jig?
As far as getting bites, I don't think theres too much of a difference. However, Fluoro is stronger and way more abrasion resistant.
Mono works. I rarely fish Fluoro TBH
Flair hawk rod tip up or down?
45 degrees
Ok so rod tip up or down when fishing the for hawk for jigs cause you. covered the spoolteks in the video for.the rod tips part but not the flair hawk?????
45 degrees up for flair and rod tip pointing straight at spooltek.
ok thanks whats ghe best method for flair hawks at the spillways that you have found around times of rain??
When the gates are open
@landsharkfishing Any other alternative baitcasters that are a bit lower on the price ? The Revo is a beast but also costs $400 before taxes. The Diawa Lexa 300 has a great drag and good price but the gear speed ratio is high. Those musky rods are sick too 9 ft thing must cast a mile lol

What kind of baitcaster is that? Shimano?
Elliot Langley revo toro beast
what baitcasting rod is that?
Tackle industries blank
the xxh tackle industries rod, will it throw 8oz , to bottom fish? with a accurate 400 size reel?
Raiyan Farook , is the rod 2pc? where can I get one?
John Walker you can get the rod in 2 piece versions, 1 piece, and telescoping.
chris m I have used the rods for bottom fishing, they work very well for that purpose.
what bait caster combo was that????
Abu Garcia Revo Toro Beast, w/ a 9ft tackle inudstries 60-130 rod.
How long are both of those rods ??
8'6 for the spinner and 9ft for the bait caster
What bait casting rod was that???
Tackle Industries Blank
+Landshark Fishing thx
What size van staal is that ??
200
awsome!!!!!
YEWWWW
Lets make a Spooltek Tarpon video
lets do it
Well?
And watch as an 80-110 lb tarpon rips that cable clean off the lure on the first or second jump.
5 people stopped casting 😳
50 or 60 size?
60+Jake Rakstis
there is not 1 video online showing people actually fishing with flare hawks. somebody make a video already. way overdue!
theres my lake thats wher i live
Now you know the secret snook spot 😳+omar rezkallah
🖒🖒
??????
I'm to scared to keep that bait creeping around the bottom. It would ruin my week if I lost the 9 incher in the rocks.
floridaBMW That's part of fishing man lol. If it's not near bottom, you won't catch fish. Sucks that these are $20-$25 a piece but they do work.
Doesn’t have to be like that, fish natural bait. It’s all free and outfishes lures by a wide margin.
