What the video doesn't show is how to load ( or tension) the spring! I did it with a pipe spanner cutting a notch in it and pushing the spring in while turning it so the two extremities lock within the two tabs. That is the fun part lol Or the lock doesn't come back to zero.
Great video, but I cannot get the spring and fianl clip back together, it is not clear how the clip will hold everything in place as it seems to just fit to the paddle?
On Skoda Octavia 1 (last facelift model at least), the door lock cylinder is not BUILT LIKE THAT. And be aware, there are TWO bolts you need to loosen one at the top , aT20 if I recall, wich is inline/ screws into a hole in the cylinder, and a lower one that moves a collar, a safety that slides over the exterior body of the cylinder and holds it firmly bolted to the door. Loosen just one screw and you will not pull the cylinder out. Also, there is surface corrosion and it needs some force to pull it out. Protect the body around it with lots of layers of tape, or something. My drivers side is frozen solid, the key just gets in half way. It has a steel pin /or could be 2 on othe sides that secures the 2 halves of the cylinder longitudinally , so it has nothing to do with a golf one, I think they are spacially made for skoda (has the skoda logo, and not the traditional VW Audi logo)
this video shows a mk4 cylinder. The mk5 cylinder is different and does not come apart the same way. Can you please add a video showing disassembly of a mk5 door lock cylinder?

Salut! Comanda pentru inchiderea centralizata se da din broasca si nu din butuc, asa ca probabil ai ceva probleme cu broasca de la usa soferului. Verifica si piesa respectiva.
Bien hecho el desmontaje, y montaje, pero sinceramente dudo que funcione, pues no vi que hayas tensionado bien el muelle, que es, girandolo unos 180 grados, pàra llevar las patillas de los extremos del muelle a su sitio, osea unas pestañas que sobresalen de la anterior arandela que pusiste. Esa tensión es la que provoca que cuando giras la llave tanto de izquierda, como a derecha, vuelva a su posición central. Eso es lo realmente dificil de este trabajillo. DIGO!!!

por eso ha puesto la pieza donde se pone la traba , para que no se viera que el muelle no esta agarrado a las dos patillas XD
Haciendolo así no podras girar la llave, ya que no pusiste el muelle bien
